Concept of free movement of persons and workers in the EU and their correlation
Šafránková, Kristýna ; Kunertová, Tereza (advisor) ; Scheu, Harald Christian (referee)
Free movement of persons and workers in the EU and their correlation Abstract This thesis is focused on one of the fundamental freedoms of the internal market. This is the free movement of persons and workers, which define the fundamental right of every citizen of the European Union. The thesis focuses on the free movement of persons and workers from the point of view of theory and practice, with emphasis on the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union. The subject of the thesis is to map the issue of free movement of persons and workers from the evolution of this freedom, the introduction of citizenship of the EU and the consolidating Directive 2004/38, the definition of worker, to the current situation in the light of covid-19 crisis, that had a huge impact on the freedom of movement. The aim of the thesis is to look at the free movement of persons and workers from the point of view of their correlation and compare their rights. The thesis is divided into 4 chapters, where the first chapter is focused on the historical development of freedom of movement of persons and includes a subchapter dealing with citizenship of the EU. This chapter also regulates the right of residence of EU citizens. The second chapter deals with the definition of a worker, including the view of this term in the light...
The effect of structural changes in perineuronal nets and deep cooling on synaptic plasticity and memory of tauopathy mice
Šafránková, Kristýna ; Růžička, Jiří (advisor) ; Telenský, Petr (referee)
Tauopathy is accompanied by both loss of neurons and synapses. The neuronal loss is irreversible with very low chance of functional replacement therapy. However, lost synapses could be restored with proper stimuli. Perineuronal nets (PNNs) are serving as a protecting barrier for neurons, on the other hand they are significantly decreasing the synaptic plasticity. Temporary disintegration of the PNNs by enzymatic therapy might lead to rewiring and accelerate processes of memory and learning. Model of Cold Induced plasticity leads to the withdrawal of significant number of synapses across the brain. The recovery of these could be followed in healthy and diseased animals. Moreover, it can stimulate Cold shock protein dependent neuroprotective mechanisms. This master thesis is focused on these two forms of synaptic plasticity models; forced remodeling of PNNs and model of cold induced synaptic plasticity. Both will serve as a tool to modulate processes of memory and learning in the P301S tauopathy, in mice. In detail, the work will follow changes in the number of synapses at the region of CA1 of hippocampus and synaptic protein levels at level of whole hippocampus and behavioral recovery of pre-trained long-term memory task dependent on dorsal hippocampus. Key words: Perineuronal nets, aggrecan,...
Interval Timing and Emotional Modulation
Šafránková, Kristýna ; Nekovářová, Tereza (advisor) ; Telenský, Petr (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on time perception, a field of study pursued extensively by psy- chologists, neuroscientists, and cognitive linguistic researchers. More specifically, this paper will examine the issue of "interval timing" (i.e. an individual's ability to perceive time intervals in seconds or minutes). Time perception is influenced by several factors, of which emotional modulation has been postulated as the most crucial. Examining the physiological mechanisms of emotional modulation and pacemaker-accumulator, the striatal model of time perception along with its role in emotional modulation form the contributions of this thesis. Key words: interval timing, dopamine, emotions, the striatal beat-frequency model
Employment of persons with a health handicap
Šafránková, Kristýna ; Vysokajová, Margerita (advisor) ; Štangová, Věra (referee)
Název diplomové práce v anglickém jazyce, resumé, klíčová slova Employment of people with a disability This thesis sets out to introduce legislation in the employment of disabled persons in the Czech legal system. The thesis is devided into seven parts. The first part deals with the history of the relationship of disabled persons and the society as it recorded the oldest Greek and Roman sources of law as well as sources in our country. It describes several measures that have been introduced to make the lives of the poor and the sick better until 1948 . The second part provides an overview of the most important international sources and sources of the European Union. It describes the protection that these sources provide to basic human rights, the principle of equality and non-discrimination and to regulate the rights and status of persons with disabilities. In the third part the basic principle enabling people with disabilities to full participation in society is analyzed in detail - the principle of equal treatment and non- discrimination. In this part is described the importance of these concepts and their national legislation in the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms, anti- discrimination laws, labor and employment law. The fourth part describes the employment of persons with disabilities as...
