The theme of this project is a landscape conversion of post-industrial sites along the Svitava river in Brno. The project is devided into two parts. Theoretical part explains the basic context about brownfields, river landscapes, ecological planning and urban green-blue structures. Practical part of this project is focused on post-industrial regeneration, urban river landscape revitalization and ecological principles of sustainable urban planning, including rain water management.

Nožnosti kultivace komerčních zón v okrajových částech sídel

Cultivation of Shopping Center spaces and it's alternatives in peripheral urbs is a complex theme, which is devided into theoretical part and a study of a particular situation in practice. The origin, development and context of the peripheral urbs related on development of regional planning is described at the first part of this paper. Then current situation is described, standardized and demonstrated on several examples of Shopping Centers in Europe, focused on landscape continuality. Second part of this paper is focused on landscape study in practice on example of Cerna Pole Shopping Center in Brno, CZE. Process of analyzing and creating of a solution is described, including pictures of the area and examples of particular architectural design. In conclusion, the sumary is completed by several options of cultivation of commercial zones and public spaces. Plans and designs of an architectural study are included separately at the end of this script.

Using Data Envelopment Analysis models to assess efficiency of shop network of a Mobile Network Operator

This master thesis deals with efficiency assessment of shop network of a leading Mobile Network Operator, by which it utilizes an innovative approach called Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The following three areas are in main focus of this thesis: advantages of DEA modelling compared to common approaches to Decision Making Units efficiency assessment and extensive summary of majority of DEA models, which are relevant for solving the given problem; followed by a comprehensive model of efficiency assessment of shop network of a Mobile Network Operator, which is unique to this thesis from both theoretical and practical standpoints; and last but not least a detailed analysis of the shop network including recommendations.

Realizace konkrétního projektu podpory podnikání za přispění fondů Evropské unie

Práce se zabývá konkrétním projektem podpory podnikání, který je momentálně realizován ve dvanácti zemích Evropské unie. Jedná se o projekt mezinárodního standardu řízení a rozvoje lidských zdrojů ?Investors in People? (IIP). Práce má za cíl ve své teoretické části nastínit aktuální problém konkurenceschopnosti malého a středního podnikání v EU ve vztahu ke kvalitě lidských zdrojů a následně představit jedno z možných řešení v podobě standardu IIP. Větší pozornost je dále věnována procesu implementace IIP a jeho podpory z prostředků EU v České republice. Cílem aplikační části je analýza rozvoje a implementace IIP v zemích EU a následná identifikace rozhodujících faktorů, které ovlivňují úspěšné uvedení standardu na národní trh. Aplikační část byla zpracována formou výzkumu pro agenturu Czechinvest.
