The Role of Social Workers in Dealing with Domestic Violence against Seniors

In this bachelor thesis I was concerned with topic of mentally ill and mistreated seniors, who were placed in a psychiatric hospital. In the theoretical part I tried to describe the concept of domestic violence, after that domestic violence in the family and also domestic violence committed against seniors. I elaborated on kinds of domestic abuse and maltreatment, and I mentioned several forms of domestic violence and abuse, which in these cases were committed against mentally ill seniors. I explained concepts such as ageing, senior and his family. I described the various forms and phases of the mental illness and behaviour of patients, who suffer from these diseases. I explained concepts such as dementia and her forms and classifications. The next section is devoted to the possibilities to help these seniors and I also introduce the services for victims of domestic violence. I mentioned dealing with these crisis situations such as deprivation of legal capacity and the institute of expulsion, with regard to the Civil law. Next part is devoted to the role of the social worker and his education with family. The assistance of a social worker to a patient lies in revelation, moderation or elimination of the negative consequence of the disease by the senior. Minor Vietnamese Population in the Czech Republic

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to present and evaluate positive and negative aspects of common living of major Czech population together with minor Vietnamese population in the Czech Republic. The Vietnamese population is one of the biggest minorities in the country, however at the same time is very different from the majority and its cultural habits. The thesis shows reasons why Vietnamese come and their way of living in the country. Coexistence is generally at very good quality and is known as very positive and non-threat for natives. During common living with Czechs sometimes brings problems, however the society generally tries to solve them for positive results at both sides. Positive Sides of Squatting

Dissertation "Positive Sides of Squatting" reveals ideology of squatters and what they pursue. Main objective of this dissertation is to demonstrate positive sides of squatting. Theoretical definition of the term "squatting" is analyzed in the first part of the study using different social sciencies. Furthemore, the study considers one's motivation and thoughts, which lead to squatting. Also, history of squatting along with the main events that have influenced squatting are discussed. Crime Prevention of Children and Youth at Jesenik Region

Purpose of this thesis is to introduce prevention politics in Jeseník region and to examine how are these programmes for children and adolescents financed and who mainly realizes them, describe some past and current preventive programmes and make insight into their activities. In the last part of the thesis will be evaluation of activities of these programmes using an survey. First three chapters generally describe the juvenile crime prevention in the Czech Republic and some other states. In the fourth chapter, the demography of the Jeseník district is described. Last four chapters deal with prevention politics and how it works in the Jesenik district and who is in charge of the policy, which financial resourses are used and which organizations make use of these resourses. Moreover, the reader is told about the main objectives of the crime prevention in this area and about the process of fulfilling the aims. The last two chapters describe selected prevention programmes which have been implimented in the Jesenik district since 1996 up to now. And the questionnaire results are shown there. Psychosocial Problems of Children with an Inborn Visual Impairment

I'm dealing with the problems of a children with an inborn visual impairment from availible literature in my work. From world history, where I detect the first mentions about the disability and some reactions to it, I'm gradually getting in a time into the current situation and systems support in the Czech Republic, especially I mentionan an Early intervention. This topic is followed by a brief overview and some history of the compensatory tools for the visually impaired, which has an irreplaceable place in the life of disabled children (adults too) and it's very helping to them in a daily life. In a next chapter I deal with the classification and characteristics of particular visual impairment where I mention the most common birth defects of the eye, then their causes and division into the groups. Then I mention the specific needs of these children where I analyze their personal development, communications, plays and toys, environment, special needs according to the age and also education at schools. There I make a detail focus on the concept of integration and specifics of early and preschool age mainly, but also I describe other terms for the integrity of my work. Imprisonment as a Critical Factor of Homelessness

The following undergraduate thesis named "Imprisonment as a critical factor of homelessness" deals with the possible ways in which an individual released from prison can re-entry society. The first part of the thesis focuses on the phenomenon of homelessness as well as the cause and consequence of imprisonment. The subsequent chapter seeks to define the concept of resocialization. Furthermore, it foreshadows various problematic issues which may be an obstacle to a successful resocialization. The main focus of the next chapter is the penitentiary care followed by a description of the inmate treatment programs. Additionally, it describes the output department which functions as a preparation for the inmates to be released from prison and where the resocialization process reaches its climax. The chapter then focuses on the post-penitentiary care of those released from prison and it suggests the means of help via a social worker or one of the NGOs working with people released from prison. The last chapter, in which the conducted interviews are analyzed, depicts the view of resocialization from the perspectives of professional and social workers. Neo_Nazism and its manifestations in the Czech Republic

This bachelor's thesis titled Neo-Nazism and its manifestations in the Czech Republic discusses the development of neo-Nazi scene in the Czech Republic from 1989 to the present. It introduces the definition of neo-Nazism, as a form of political extremism, as well as its ideology and symbolism. Then, it deals with activities that threaten the democratic system and during which there are significant changes, i.e. the new strategy, forms and objectives. The following part is focused on neo-Nazism from the perspective of the Czech police, taking a closer investigation into the activities of neo-Nazis in the Central Bohemian Region. The basic theme is the prevention, which offers a wide range of prevention programs, not only from the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, since NGOs also have their concerns in the issue. The Psychological Aspects of Integration of a Child with Spinal Muscular Atrophy at the Secondary Level Education

My bachelor thesis analyzes the psychological aspects of integration of a teenage girl with spinal muscular atrophy at the secondary level education. The theoretical part is aimed at defining the socio- psychological environment of integration in a common elementary school, and provides general information on spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), with a focus on physical activity and functional capacity of a teenage child with the disease. The thesis discusses the personality of a teenage child suffering from an incurable progressive disease, her communications with other people and the topics of terminal stages including death from the perspective of an adolescent and seriously ill child. The practical part of the thesis deals with a case study of a fourteen year old girl diagnosed with SMA types I. and II., and it is followed by a discussion on appropriate measures. Domestic Violence with the Focus on Work with the Aggressor

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to show the problems of domestic violence, focusing on the agressor. The thesis should also describe and propose possible actions to help aggressors within the Czech Republic, based on practice utilised by foreign countries. The first chapter is concerned with the definition of domestic violence, the approaches to its solutions and the occurrence of this phenomenon within the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the first chapter deals with theoretical causes of this phenomenon and describes the types and effects of domestic violence. The second chapter deals with the categorizations of aggressors as it is necessary for the description for the types of help which follow. The types of help are described in the third chapter, along with examples of foreign therapeutic programmes. The fourth chapter, in order to achieve the aim, is dedicated the possible support provided to the aggressors in the Czech Republic. In addition to the activities of the three organisations providing help, this chapter also describes the state activities dedicated to help aggressors. Towards the end, the proposals and possible measures that are necessary to improve the current situation are presented, based on the National Action Plans for the prevention of domestic violence.
