Lavičková, Romana ; Winternitzová, Irena (referee) ; Sládková, Petra (advisor)
In my bachelor thesis which is titled "Pain mapping in the senior population" I set a task to map the most common musculoskeletal pain bothering the senior population. I am also interested in the question of motivation for the application of physiotherapy. The semistructured interview was used for data collection (experimental sample contains 56 probands). To verify the success of physiotherapy as a suitable alternative of pain influence I have already created three case reports. The results clearly show that 89% of the seniors are limited by some type of the pain which is in 82% of cases connected to the locomotor system. The most frequently reported pains were in the area of knee (24% responses), lumbar spine (21.5%) and hip (19.5%). For 79% of all seniors is pain a motivating factor for the application of physiotherapy (motivating factor for active participation). I also elaborated further obtained information interesting for physiotherapy practice relating to the musculoskeletal pain and the willingnes of cooperation into synaptic charts. I noted the positive impact of exercise on pain in the case of case reports.

Klisková, Zuzana ; Táborská, Silvie (referee) ; Sládková, Petra (advisor)
We can expect increased amount of stroke with lengthening of life and growth number of people in higher aged categories. These incidents mean not only health but also social and economical problem. Neurological patiens go to refreshment residence to the Krušné mountains. The biggest group is made up of patients after stroke, there are mainly young people after car accidents and other head injuries and I would like to mention people who were operated with a brain tumor. Health condition of these people is not without a deficit, no matter what it is - motorics or sensitivity failure, speech failure or some psychical problems. It is necessary to provide them with a complex health care of multidisciplinary team from the beginning. We can reach visible progress if we combine the patient's active approach to his habilitation.

The thesis deals in more detail especially with the matters of sensory loss and their impact to ADL. The practical part presents the the brief description of the sought tests and the translation and interpretation of the selected assesment - Nothingham sensory assesment. The thesis provides the reader with results and the analysis of results of the somatosensory assesments through the use of Notingham sensory assesment, performed on the sample of ten pacients in the Regional Hospital Liberec and on the Clinic of Rehabilitation Medicine in Prague. From the obtained results of the practical assesments the conclusion has been drawn, that confirms the suitability of the selected standardized assessment - Notingham sensory assesment - for the ergotherapists in the Czech Republic.
