The Attitudes Formed by Geographical Education
Kunová, Šárka ; Řezníčková, Dana (advisor) ; Hanus, Martin (referee)
This thesis deals with students attitudes, that are an interface between pedagogy, sociology, psychology and subject didactics. The main objective of this thesis is to zoom attitudes, refer to level of theirs processing in curriculum documents, make a suggestion of attitudes, present methods of their detection and comment examples of last research. These objectives are undermining the structure of thesis. The first part defines the available literature on key concepts. It is followed by analysis of curriculum documents from Czech Republic and selected countries in terms of completion and particular attitudes in them. Based on the analysis of curriculum documents a proposal focused on areas where the teaching of geography should be concentrating in Czech Republic is presented. The fifth chapter outlines the methods used to measure attitudes that can be used for the planned research. Then in the sixth chapter examples of studies and researches aimed at identifying the positions using the above mentioned methods are stated. The thesis is concluded with the effort to assess the status and degree of completion of the positions in the current Czech education and outline the planned investigations of students' attitudes. Keywords: attitude - classification - curriculum - semantic differential - Czechia
Externalities in transport with emphasis on spatial aspects
Tomášek, Radek ; Matějček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Hanus, Martin (referee)
Externalities in transport with emphasis on spatial aspects. Summary This Thesis deals with the externalities of transport with an emphasis on spatial externalities. It is divided into eight chapters which are then broken down into individual subsections. In the basic concepts chapter is included the theoretical part characterizing the phenomenons of transport and externalities, possibilities of quantification, solving and internalization of transport externalities and the current situation in the Czech Republic. The chapter Practical part includes specific studies and their results. First, the model area of Výtoň is described and there are given at least the basic information regarding the functioning of traffic lights, followed by the methodology of the survey and its results. This research is also followed by the questionnaire survey dealing with the pedestrian traffic in Prague. Both surveys point to the same goal which is to find out about the influence of fragmentation of the landscape on the lives of the city's inhabitants. This goal was achieved in the final chapter, which summarizes the most important findings from both surveys. KEY WORDS: Externalities, space, fragmentation, road transport, city, pedestrian crossing with traffic lights
Education through the Geography in Curricular Reformation Period of Czech Education System: Reflection of the Changes at Selected Prague's Grammar Schools
Jáchym, Jan ; Chromý, Pavel (advisor) ; Hanus, Martin (referee)
The thesis, as the title suggests, focuses on education of Geography and analysis of Geography as a subject at Prague grammar schools. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the impact of curricular changes on teaching Geography. Furthermore, the thesis is to analyze the ideas of the Geography teachers on teaching methods and content taught to students in their lessons. The work also evaluates the variety of opinions of the pedagogues concerning this topic. It also discusses their different views on a new form of the state leaving exam. Moreover, it looks for the answer whether the new exam might change the methodology of Geography. This work is mainly based on a critical evaluation of expert materials as far as the school reform is concerned. The empirical part itself consists of the survey results and the assessment of directed interviews with 11 respondents, who are the Geography teachers at nine Prague grammar schools.
Education through the Geography in Curricular Reformation Period of Czech Education System: Reflection of the Changes at Prague's Grammar Schools
Jáchym, Jan ; Chromý, Pavel (advisor) ; Hanus, Martin (referee)
The thesis, as the title suggests, is devoted to education in Geography. More specifically, the work analyzes teaching Geography at Prague grammar schools. The work objective is to assess the effects of the ongoing curriculum amendments on teaching Geography and to assess, analyze and review: a) The differences in the approach towards education in Geography at individual Prague high schools. b) The ideas of Geography teachers themselves on how much time should be devoted to particular geographical topics or topics otherwise related to Geography. Next, the work assesses the homogeneity of opinions in this respect. It also studies the homogeneity of particular Geography theme plans at individual schools also with respect to the planned change in school leaving exams. The work is based on a critical assessment of expert materials concerning the school reform. The empirical part itself is grounded in survey results and the assessment of directed interviews with 11 respondents, who are Geography teachers at 9 Prague grammar schools.
Concept of School Geography in Hungary, Poland and Slovakia
Vrhel, Matěj ; Hanus, Martin (referee) ; Řezníčková, Dana (advisor)
- This work deals with changes of education systems' concepts (with a special emphasis on teaching geography) in post communist states of Central Europe. Monitored states are Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. We follow the changes of concepts within the period of the fall of iron curtain till today, the main trigger of changes are curricular reforms. The obligatory curricular documents of these states became a subject of content analysis. We describe how the documents had been created and how they were introduced into everyday life. Another aspect of this work is the analysis and comparison of school systems of the individual lands. The mentioned analyses represent a wider framework for fulfiling the main aim of this thesis. Thus for the analysis of the concept and character of geography as a subject of general education in the process of general education in monitored lands. The concept and character of school geography are analysed starting with the period of last decades of totalitarian regimes and going through post-totalitarian curricular reforms untill today. The content analysis follows the inclusion of school geography into learning areas of curricular documents, the main educational aims and the content design of thematic plans. A further, respectively quantitation aspect is the number of...
Optimalizace marže vkladových produktů banky
Hejmová, Barbora ; Myška, Petr (referee) ; Hanuš, Martin (advisor)
In the presented work we study xing of term deposit margins on Czech deposit market. Financial crisis which in fluenced almost each financial system hit also Czech banks. It resulted in almost no trading on interbank market and banks started to hoard liquidity from primary deposits. At the beginning of the thesis we introduce origin and expansion of liquidity crisis. Next we introduce term deposits and their basic properties on Czech deposit market. Then work is focused on term deposits and on xing their margins in dependence on several factors. Next part introduce model for optimal margin in dependence especially on demand for term deposits and competitive margin. There is also description of crisis impacts on suggested model. Results are built on term deposit of one of the largest banks on Czech deposit market. Data cover period from 2006 to 2008.
Biomechanics effects of support foot during the kick
Hanuš, Milan ; Zahálka, František (advisor) ; Buzek, Mario (referee)
Title: Analysis of the soccer player movement during a soccer kick Objectives: The aim of study was determine (find) and describe main phases of soccer player's movement and observe intraindividual stability of kinematic solution of kick. 3D kinematic analysis body was used for evaluation of movement and force plate Kistler was used for scan forces of support foot. Method: Twelve junior extraleague and league soccer players, aged 16-19, from SK Slavia Praha - football were monitored. Players were tested in laboratory of sport movement FTVS UK. Players realized 7-10 instep kicks and 5 in-side kicks. All twelve players were tested by this way. Time, speed of ball and forces of support foot was observed. Results: The results provides information's about kinematic movement during the kick, impact of support foot and effect on ball speed. Key Words: soccer, football, biomechanics, kinematics, technique, kick 3
Novel thin scintillation films for 2D imaging screens
Hanuš, Martin ; Kučera, Miroslav (advisor) ; Mareš, Jiří A. (referee)
In this work we studied properties of Ce doped garnet scintillator layers (CexLu3-xAl5O12, CexY3-xAl5O12). They were prepared by liquid phase epitaxy. Studied materials show fast response, high quantum efficiency and good chemical and mechanical stability. Thus they are ideal for use in devices for 2D imaging. We measured absorption, excitation and emission spectra and kinetics of luminescence. Aim was to compare properties of grown layers with properties of single crystals grown by Czochralski method. We looked for the impact of melt compounds to measured layer properties. We also tried to determine optimal amount of Ce in layer. We used flux PbO - B2O3 and flux BaO - BaF2 - B2O3. In those fluxes we succeeded to grow garnet layers at temperatures as low as 1000řC. This lead to less intrinsic defects in crystalic lattice of layer in comparison to single crystals grown by Czochralski method (1900řC). Our layers were from 1 to 30 mm thick with higher concentration of Ce than singlecrystal. Due to higher concentration of impurities in layers grown from PbO - B2O3 flux we grown layers from BaO - BaF2 - B2O3 flux too. Flux BaO - BaF2 - B2O3 leaves less impurities in layers.
