Senior citizen problematics from the perspektive of domiciliary services

Subject of diploma thesis is administration minder services for seniors. Aim of coming services is, among others, provide for seniors full-value life in their native environment. On the basis of peruse literature I present terms like age, senescence and communication. I point out communication specialities and techniques for choice groups of seniors. In practical parts I go out of own working experience in administration field minder services for seniors. In my diploma thesis I concentrate for the period between 2006 - 2008, when the legislation of administration minder services was changed.

Diploma thesis "Symptoms of stuttering in dynamic" view consider the problematic balbuties from many aspects. This is focused on the one of the most severe and obvious kinds of disturbance in communication skills. The research project of the diploma thesis deals with analysis of lives of Czech and Arabic/Israeli children with balbuties. Apart from the complex analysis I enclose more detailed information about symptoms, ways and possible diagnosis; within the context of practical part I describe methods and techniques which I was using and various therapy possibilities.

Theoretical part of my diploma thesis is oriented on description and comparison of four genetically caused syndroms Down Syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Turner Syndrome, Noonan syndrome. In practical part of my thesis I attend to discover level of knowledge of this issue among students, workers and specialists from sphere of assisting professions using questionnaires. I try to familiarize two of above-mentioned syndroms (Prader-Willi Syndrome and Noonan Syndrome) through casuistical methods and interviews with parents.
Use of Video Home Training in Families with Children Showing Specific Language Impairment

The thesis deals with social interaction of parents with children suffering from specific language imairment. It analyses communication skills of the parents and their influence on the speech development of the child. Further it concentrates more deeply on the difficulties that specific language impairment brings along to the social interaction between parents and their children. It comes to think of the possibility of cooperation of the speech and language therapist with families of children suffering from this language impairmant. It offers a method video home training as a possible solution for the development of communicaion skills of the parents interacting with their children. Video home training is presented in more details and is used in two families with children suffering from the specific language impairment. There are described description and results of such an intervention in the practical part of this thesis. The characteristics of communication needs of families with chidren suffering from the specific language impairment are also included.The possibilities of the video home training from the point of view of the speech therapeutic intervention are offered in the last part of the thesis.
Speech theraphy of deaf children

My thesis deals with speech therapy of deaf children at the elementary school. The thesis compares the results of questionaires and observations of speech therapy in the basic schools for deaf children. The aim of my thesis is to map the current state of speech therapy in these schools, and possibly to point out available solutions to current drawbacks.
Comparison of efficiency in lexicon test for children with Specific language impairment and children with acquired aphasia

The thesis is composed of two main parts - the theoretical and the practical one. The theoretical part sums up the knowledge about language communication, word and lexicon, and mentions diversity of access to model of the language with emphasis on localization lexicon in the human brain. There is also outlined physiological and pathological development of the lexicon, word-stock problems by children with Specific language impairment and children with acquired aphasia, and finally options of lexicon assessment in the Czech. Practical part is focused on evaluation of lexicon in children divided into the three groups. Each group is consists of three age categories. To analyse lexical profile of these children was compiled the test, which contains ten subtests intent on the rate in obtaining words, structuring of mental lexicon and meaning of the words. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate differences of lexicon between intact children, children with Specific language impairment and children with acquired aphasia. Group stimulation preschoolers'speech development programme focused on Romany children

Creating a group stimulation preschoolers' programme focused on Romany children has been the main aim of this paper. The programme shall focus on stimulation partial components of speech and other speech related areas. Theoretical part of the paper focuses on the area of culture, upbringing and language of Romas. Further on it focuses on the area of education of Romany children, their specifics and reason for school failures in local school system. The theoretical part of my paper also covers the area of logopedical care in Romany children. Practical part describes a group stimulation preschoolers' programme. It is a speech centred programme. In the latter parts data collected in the programme are compared and final data analysis is perfomed. Forming the above mentioned programme is the final outcome of the diploma paper.
Implementation of the interdisciplinary approach from the perspective of parents of children with orofacial clefts

My Diploma Thesis deals with facial cleft defects. It focuses on the interdisciplinary approaches in their therapy in the Czech Republic from the perspective of parents of children with orofacial clefts. Moreover, it monitors the current trends in this area. Based on the directive, American Cleft palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA) and the Standard of care for patients with cleft lip and palate in Europe, the Thesis surveys the implementation of those recommendations into cleft centres in the Czech Republic. Possibilities of logopedic intersention in geriatric medical institution

The topic of the thesis deals with the issue of the people after cerebrovascular events and their subsequent rehabilitation. Introduction of the theoretical part is devoted to the definition of age in terms of physiology and psychology. The starting point for a theoretical treatment of the subject is the concept of comprehensive care for people after cerebrovascular events. On the basis of theoretical texts, this part focuses on the most common types of communication disorders in people with neurological disease, especially on aphasia, dysarthria, dysphagia, and cognitive communication disorders. I focused the practical part on the case histories of two patiens at Geriatric and rehabilitation center in Kladno, where I had watched their three-month stay. I gave the greatest attention primarily on speech therapy, but I also focused on other provided care. This section also includes a rating scale of the availability and level of speech intervention. The results of this work is evaluation of speech therapy, physiotherapy and ergotherapeutic activities in a rehabilitation facility. The information should help to consider the need for high quality and comprehensive care for people after cerebrovascular events.
Developing communication in children with Cochlear implants

This thesis in theoretical part describes the problems of hearing impairment people, indicates the importance of hearing for child's socialization, and outlines the possibilities of education for children with cochlear implants. Provides basic information about hearing defects, which are divided by type, grade and time of origination. Then focuses on communication of people with hearing disabilities, especially the kinds of communication and specific communication of children with cochlear implants. Further deals with the cochlear implant as a major compensatory utility for the deaf. The practical part of this thesis includes three case studies of children with cochlear implants which includes observation of the development of children's speech and evaluates the success of implantation for the use of speech. An integral part of this work is elaborating with recommendations and drafts of the educational thematic plan for children with cochlear implants in the first grade of primary school for the hearing impaired.
