Prevention of complication in the treatment of patient with established tracheostomy

Bachelor thesis is focused on the prevention of complications in the treatment of patients with established tracheostomy cannula. Tracheostomy is a standard, effi cient and indispensable procedure in securing the airways, but we think that changing physiological conditions in the airways and it is the nursing care that these conditions must be replaced. In the theoretical part I try to explain concepts related to the prevention of complications in the treatment of patients with established tracheostomy cannula. The practical part consists of an exploratory qualitative investigation. The sample consists of patients lying on the long-term intensive care unit. The aim is to map the individual respondents with a tracheostomy tube and to assess whether the right nursing care is suffi cient to prevention of complications.
Awareness of Adolescents Children with Diagnosis Diabetes Mellitus in Relation to Adherence Treatment mode.

The Bachelor's thesis focuses on the problem of diabetes mellitus disease in adolescents and on their attitude to the compliance with the therapeutic regime on the basis of their information level. The education of patients is necessary for their acceptance of the disease and for the succes of its lifelong treatment. The study is devided into two parts : the theoretical one contains basic characteristics of the disease, its history, manner of diagnosis, treatment and therapeutic mode together with information on the education of patients. The second- practical - part includes the results of the investigation, carried out by means of questionaries, which should show the level of awareness about diabetes mellitus among adolescents and their information and attitude to the therapeutic mode, diet, lifestyle . The investigation comprised a total of 50 the respondents aged of from 10 to 18 years. The study should contribute to a more coherent perspective on the presented issues and to identify any deficiencies in the awareness of adolescents of the disease.
Information for patients about the treatment mode after hip surgery - Total joint replacement

My bachelor thesis called "Patients' knowledge of therapeutic mode after surgery of hip joint - total endoprosthesis" deals with a problem of education of patients in case of mode after surgery on Orthopaedic department in St. Zdislava hospital in Mostiště. A theoretic part is focused on summary of findings about hip joint, causes of surgery, types of endoprosthesis, preoperative and postoperative cares, rehabilitation and potential complications after surgery of hip joint. In a practical part, there is introduced a method of research on Orthopaedic department, whose aim is to get into degree of patients' knowing, form of education and simple keeping of preventive measures. In a conclusion of my thesis the results of research and assessment of research acquisiton into practice are summarized.
Development of self-sufficiency in patients with hydrocephalus

Thesis entitled Development of self-sufficiency in patients with hydrocephalus is divided into two parts. The first part contains a theoretical treatment of the subject. There is discussed the issue of hydrocephalus and the issue of self-sufficiency in self-care. In hydrocephalus, the author first examines in detail the anatomy of the cerebral ventricles and the creation, composition and circulation of cerebrospinal fluid. The following is a detailed discussion about the nature of the disease itself, its types, causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment. Finally, there is analyzed the quality of life of patients with this disease. In the area of self- sufficiency, the author focuses on the very concept of self-sufficiency, starting with a general description of this term and continuously moving towards a description of its different aspects with regard to movement and physical activity the patient, his clothing and hygiene, emptying the urine and stool and nutrition. The second part is conceived as an empirical. There are evaluated, what was found by using a questionnaire survey. The author examines whether the patients were improved after surgery in specific areas of self-sufficiency, and if so, to what extent. Areas examined are self-sufficiency in food, hygiene, emptying, walking and dressing....
Trauma nurses in providing nursing care and prevention options

The thesis is focused on the issue of injury to nurses in providing nursing care and disease, which is due to an injury risk. It also deals with back pain, total prevention of the problems and possibilities of compensation for work injuries. In connection with the issues I have set goals and determine whether the respondents comply with established nursing standards and whether they last three years has been injuries in connection with the provision of nursing care. Furthermore, if the respondents know the correct procedure in injuries of the needle used, whether the value of container used for disposal of infectious waste for safe and whether they suffer from back pain lately. I believe that the specific targets of the thesis managed to meet the total. In a benefit for working professionals could be a picture of the issues presented by the selected workplaces. Suggesting the need to continue to pursue the above-mentioned topic.
Women's awareness of the risks associated with hormonal contraception

Presence dissertatation: "Women's awareness of the risks associated with hormonal contraception" is a charakter a theoretical- empirical. The theoretical part gives an overview of hormonal contraceptives, the dangers threatening the use of hormonal contraceptives and gynecologicalcare. Empirical basis of a questionnaire survey which was carried out in selected groups of women. The aim of this dissertation: Investigate whether women have the sufficient knowledge of the risks associated with the hormonal contraceptive and determine whether gynecologists to ensure the essential prevention and whether women are satisfied with them. To find these objectives serve the questionnaire. The work reveals the respondents' knowledge of risks associated with use of hormonal contraceptives, such knowledge is the basic level. Further reveals the difference between the groups, the level of knowledge and lack of care gynecologists. This work may contribute as educational material for health workers and women using or planning to use hormonal contraceptives.
Quality of life of patients following femoral neck surgery

The thesis is devoted to the issue of quality of life in connection with the neck of the femur. The work specifies the concept of quality of life, deals with the history, definitions and different approaches to this date. It also describes fracture itself, its surgical treatment and aftercare. Using a questionnaire survey was conducted of patients following femoral neck surgery, I find out whether these patients there was a change in the quality of life. Quantitative research was carried out in 2010. 34 respondents were interviewed and their responses were fed into the data evaluation.

You are holding the bachelor thesis which concludes my studies in the 2nd Medical School of Charles University. This thesis is meant for the public arena for those with some knowledge regarding medicine. For the topic of my thesis I have chosen the medical care process for a patient with complications after a lung transplant. The objective of this project is to present to the reader questions and answers regarding lung transplants, with emphasis on the seriousness of such an operation giving detail to some of the problems which may arise and the care required. These are issues which a nurse may, and most likely will, be faced with in her profession. The thesis is structured into two basic parts. The first, the theoretical section, is about the anatomy of the respiratory system and lung transplants. With the main detail describing the care required after a transplant and frequently experienced complications. In the second, practical section, the actual case of a patient with complications after a lung transplant is discussed in detail. The basic personal history was written up on the first day of care, this is followed by a description of treatment throughout the course of hospitalization and the planned nursing care. The nursing process in a patient prior to and after a surgery on thyroid gland

I wrote my bachelor ́s work on theme: Care process about patient before and after thyroid surgery. I split my work to two parts. In the first theoretical part I write about anatomy, physiology, characteristic of illness and examinations leading to the diagnostic and treatment. In the second practical part I write about care process of particular pacient with thyroid disease. I carred of that patient at ORL department, where the thyroid was exenterated to her. During the hospitalization I made a nurse anamnesis which is based on Majory Gordon ́s nurse model of Function health. Thanks to my obtained information from medical documentation, patient and other medical staff, I analyzed all troubless and made nurse anamnesis, to which I attached nurse care plan, realization of that plan and evaluation of nurse interventions. The end of my work belongs to education and prognosis of patient. Education target was to inform patient about post-operative recovery, adherance to medical and nurse advices, to give a sufficient information about after-effects and answer all patient ́s questions, what I could. The nursing process in a patient with an intestinal cancer

In my bachelor's paper, the classic nursing process is elaborated; its theme that is particularly topical currently is a patient with intestinal tumour. The reason why the theme "colorectal carcinoma" was chosen is described in the preamble: it is mainly the current high frequency of this diagnosis. The numerical comparison if its incidence and mortality in the Czech Republic and worldwide are described here. The theoretical part deals mainly with anatomy and physiology of large intestine, factual disease, its diagnostics and therapy. Basic information related to the patient, course of his hospitalization, and the used therapy are also described here. The practical part deals with the actual nursing process; case history of illness and diagnosis that was elaborated on the basis of subjective and objective information gained during the patient's treatment are described in this part.
