Study of transistor properties with ionic liquids
Mitáčková, Martina ; Pospíšil, Jan (referee) ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the study of electric and dielectric properties of transistors based on ionic liquids. The measurements were performed on organic electrochemical transistors with a semiconducting channel made of PEDOT:PSS, which were firstly prepared on ITO substrates, later they were printed using 3D print. Ionic liquid NO4 (1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hydrogensulfate) was used for measuring of the properties. Electrical properties were determined by measuring volt-ampere characteristics, dielectric properties were measured by impedance spectroscopy.
Study of Electric and Thermal Properties of Building Materials with Conductive Additives
Veselá, Jana ; Krouská, Jitka (referee) ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (advisor)
This work focuses on study of electric, dielectric and thermal properties of composite electrically conductive building materials composed of magnesium oxychloride cement and small amount of graphene and graphite admixtures. The aim of this work was to determine thermal properties of materials and create a model of electric current conduction mechanism in material. Electric and dielectric properties were determined with using of transient direct current measurement of resistivity and impedance spectroscopy. Thermal properties were investigated using transient step-wise method and fractal analysis of thermocamera data. Electrical resistivities of materials are determined from the direct current measurements. Model of transport of electrical charge carriers was evaluated by fitting impedance data to an equivalent electrical circuit model. Thermal conductivities and thermal capacities were determined by means of thermal measurements. The presented properties for example can be used for assessment of suitability for specific construction applications.
Study of Electric Properties of Electrochemical Transistors with Ionic Liquids
Blahut, Jan ; Pospíšil, Jan (referee) ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on preparation of organic electrochemical transistors and following characterization of electric properties of these systems. Two types of electrode systems were used for preparation – glass substrates with steamed oxide of indium and tin and polylactic acid substrates with admixture of carbon soot. Three methods were tested for creation of PEDOT channel. Materiál printing, spin-coating and manual application. The measurement shows, that voltage applied to gate electrode has no effect switching of transistor. Size and polarity of current between source and drain electrodes has a major influence here.

Study of Thermal Properties of Materials for 3D Printing
Lapčíková, Tereza ; Menčík, Přemysl (referee) ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to study thermal properties of materials used for 3D printing (so-called filaments), especially a polylactic acid (PLA). Within the theoretical part there was performed the literature review focused on the description of different methods of 3D printing including the summary of suitable materials for these technologies. In particular, we focused on the preparation of PLA, its summarization of its chemical, physical and thermal properties and its practical use in 3D additive printing manufacturing, e.g. in biomedical applications. In the experimental part, PLA samples of different thicknesses were prepared by 3D printing technique and thermal properties such as thermal capacity and thermal conductivity were determined. It was found that thermal conductivity of studied material was 0,128 W/m/K and specific heat capacity 1335 J/kg/K. These values corresponded to the once given in the literature.
Study of electrical and dielectric properties of perovskites
Moravčík, Marek ; Pospíšil, Jan (referee) ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on a study of electrical and dielectrically properties of perovskite single crystal prepared by inversed temperature crystallization. Measurement was done on sample of MAPbBr3. First the temperature dependences of current-voltage characteristics were measured, they help to determined Arrhenius dependences. Activation energies were determined from Arrhenius dependences for every single voltage. These activation energies were used to determined position of Fermi level during thermodynamic balance. Concentration of state for dominant energies and charge carrier mobility (drift, microscopic) were determined from current-voltage characteristics for constant temperature. Relative permittivity was used to determine these parameters from impedance measurement.
Study of optical properties of thin films of perovskite MAPbBr3 precursors
Rackovská, Anna Patrícia ; Schmiedová, Veronika (referee) ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on preparation of perovskite methylammonium lead bromide thin film layers and also thin film layers of its precursors, namely methylammonium bromide and lead(II) bromide, by spin-coating from the solution; and optical characterisation of the prepared thin film layers by UV-VIS spectroscopy and spectroscopical ellipsometry. Methylammonium bromide does not absorb in visible nor ultraviolet region, the maximum absorption of lead(II) bromide occurred in ultraviolet region, methylammonium lead bromide absorbs in visible region. Optical band gaps were determined by Tauc method to (3,5 ± 0,1) eV for lead(II) bromide and 2,15 eV, respectively 2,25 eV for perovskite. Refractive indices and extinction coefficients were determined by ellipsometry in range of wavelengths from 290 nm to 830 nm and their dependence with layer thickness was discussed. Ellipsometry model used in this thesis consist on Tauc-Lorentz oscillators for methylammonium bromide, methylammonium lead bromide and partially for lead(II) bromide, which another part is formed by New Amorphous oscillator.

Study of the dielectric properties of perovskite crystals
Mlčkovová, Hana ; Pospíšil, Jan (referee) ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis deals with the preparation of perovskite single crystals by inverse thermal crystallization and subsequent study of the basic properties of these hybrid organic-inorganic materials that can be used in various optoelectronic (photodetectors, transistors, lasers, LEDs) or photovoltaic applications. Their behavior in the electric field was studied by impedance spectroscopy. Impedance and capacitance-voltage (C-V) characteristics (frequency dependences) were measured in the dark and in the light. From the impedance dependences for measurements at 0 V voltage in the dark, the equivalent circuit was modeled and its parameters and dielectric constant were determined. From the C-V dependence, Mott-Schottky analysis determined the parameters – "flat-band" potential U_"fb" and charge carrier density N_"C-V" , the parameter – the so-called Warburg coefficient was found, which together with the parameter N_"C-V" was used to calculate the diffusion coefficient D.
Passivation of the active layer in perovskite solar cells with inverted architecture
Babincová, Kristina ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jan (advisor)
The topic of this work is the passivation of the active layer of perovskite solar cells with an inverted structure. The work is divided into theoretical and experimental part. The theoretical part describes in particular the passivation and modification of the perovskite layer as well as the characteristic properties of perovskite, including structure and stability. The experimental part deals with the preparation of photovoltaic cells with an inverted structure. For the characterization of photovoltaic cells, reference samples were prepared and their active layer was modified by plasma. The most used deposition technique for the preparation of layers was the spin coating method. From the performed experiments it can be concluded that the preparation of samples and their subsequent modification under laboratory conditions does not lead to the improvement of the final parameters of photovoltaic conversion. By transferring the sample preparation and passivation of the active layer to an inert atmosphere, it was possible to produce cells with higher efficiencies (compared to the reference sample), around 10 %. Another advantage of this plasma treatment of the active layer is that it also improves the stability of the prepared structures, which even after a few days in air show almost 80 % of the original efficiency.
