Synthesis and analysis of quantum dot conjugates intended for fret sensor
Datinská, Vladimíra ; Klepárník, Karel ; Belšánová, Barbora ; Minárik, M. ; Foret, František
Our work is focused on synthesis of sensor based on Fӧrster resonance energy transfer (FRET), which is aimed to be used for DNA mutation detection. The sensor is based on the attachment of laboratory synthesized quantum dot (QD) to ssDNA. A complementary chain of a sample is labeled by a fluorescent dye. Thus, only if dsDNA between both complementary chains is formed, the energy from QD (donor) can be transferr ed to the dye acceptor) and FRET is observed.

We describe a new configuration for Fӧrster resonance energy transfer (FRET) between a quantum dot (QD) donor and a fluorescence dye acceptor attached to DNA molecule. This FRET sensor is aimed to be used in genomic analysis for DNA mutation detection applicable especially in cancer research.
New sensor for DNA mutation detection
Datinská, Vladimíra ; Klepárník, Karel ; Minárik, M. ; Foret, František
We present a design and synthesis of a new sensor intended for the genomic analysis in molecular cancer research. This sensor is based on the Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) and can be used for the detection of complementary oligonucletide chains based on probe hybridization. Quantum dots (QDs) with their unique optical properties serve as suitable donors of energy in FRET.
The image of ethnic and national minorities in Czech mass media
MINAŘÍK, Michal
The work deals with an image of ethnic and national minorities in Czech mass media. The theoretical part defines the basic theoretical terms and briefly characterizes selected minorities in our country. It also attends to the issues of coexistence, problems of stereotypes, attitudes and prejudices. The end of this part is addressing the issues of media, media product and medial representation of minorities in the selected theme context. The practical part is based on the assumption of current media presenting the minorities mostly in a connection with negative content, for example criminality, unemployment etc. The research part is aimed at the content analysis of daily newspaper articles, that relate to chosen minorities.
Business Plan of a Dance Studio
Minařík, Martin ; Tyll, Ladislav (advisor) ; Krause, Josef (referee)
The thesis is concerned with the topic of preparation of a business plan and it is divided into two parts. The first part describes the most important features of a business plan and provides essential economic and managerial theoretical background. The second part applies those rules to a particular business plan of a newly opened dance studio. The business plan is mainly focused on a product portfolio, possible threats and financial planning. An offer for a prospective sponsor is also included in the second part of the thesis. The main methods used for the preparation of the business plan are expert estimate, benchmarking and survey.
Incorporation of university graduated nurses into the multidisciplinary team.
MINAŘÍK, Martin
My bachelor thesis {\clqq}Integration of university-educated nurses into multidisciplinary teams``deals with integration of nurses into working teams where such cooperation takes place. The theoretical part of the thesis refers to the history of nursing, the today´s conditions for this profession, roles played by nurses and relations they have to cope with. The thesis outlines the concepts of team, medical multidisciplinary team and advantages of multidisciplinarity. It also points to potential pathological phenomena in case of poor acceptance and cooperation. University-educated nurses have been working in various departments as members of nursing teams, as well as multidisciplinary teams. The first objective of my thesis was to find out whether university-educated nurses are included into multidisciplinary teams. The second objective of my thesis was to find out how the university-educated nurses are accepted by medical doctors. A quantitative method using anonymous questionnaires was used to collect the data and to meet the established objectives; the questionnaire was developed based on information obtained from professional literature and it was divided into two sections. The first section contained questions for all members of the multidisciplinary teams and the other section was intended specifically for the university-educated nurses. The results of the quantitative survey have shown that university-educated nurses have been included into teams, i.e. the hypothesis - The university-educated nurses are included into multidisciplinary teams - has been confirmed. The second hypothesis {--} The university-educated nurses are not accepted by medical doctors - has been also confirmed. On the contrary, the third hypothesis - University-educated nurses are accepted by nurses with secondary education - has not been confirmed. Results of this thesis may be used by the higher and top management of the surveyed hospital and they should be also used for improvement of care of the clients.
The Criminality of Romany Ethnicity in the Czech Republic and the Project of the System of Mentoring in the Criminal Justice
MINAŘÍK, Michal
Thesis is dedicated to the criminality of Romany ethnicity in the Czech Republic and the project of the System of mentoring in the criminal justice. The introduction part is about the history and criminality of the ethnicity. This part contains statistical data and possible causes for the criminality. The main part is dedicated to the most common illegal ways of earn living. This part is connected with part which describes the System of mentoring in the criminal justice. The practical part is aimed at check on the hypothesis of the effect and function of the project. This part is supplemented by statistical data and outcomes of the research.
