The influence of labour market rigidity level on unemployment in selected EU countries in 2014 and 2015
Soustružník, Tomáš ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Hájek, Jan (referee)
This thesis analyzes the impact of labour market rigidity on long-term and youth unemployment in the Czech Republic, France and Great Britain over the last 15 months. A regulation becomes an integral part of the labour market, since its primary objective is to protect the rights of employees and employers, thereby it leads to dampening the speed of adaptation to market changes. The thesis provides a comparison of Labour Codes, including the assessement of other factors affecting labour market flexibility. The facts are subsequently applied to the development of unemployment rates in all three countries. Combining data analysis and theoretical research, I reached the conclusion that the relation between rigidity level and unemployment rate is negative. This means that the more rigid labour market is the higher long-term and youth unemployment causes.

Denmark, in comparison with the Czech Republic is characterized by individual approach in determining the level of foster care and greater variability of individual contributions. Based on this comparison there are suggested improvements for the Czech Republic.

Dvořáková, Monika ; Poláková, Olga (advisor) ; Hájek, Jan (referee)
My diploma dissertation concerns the theoretical introduction of the retirement system, economic theories and the cause of the retirement reform in the first part. The second part represents the analysis of so-called small retirement reform and is focused on the retirement system since the beginning in 2013 with the accent to newly established retirement saving. The aim of my diploma dissertation is the evaluation of the existing functioning of the second pillar and the reasons of the low interest of the inhabitants. The comparison with the chosen states where the retirement saving already operates is a part of the second pillar analysis. Slovakia and Hungary are the European representatives with the similar schema of the retirement system and Chilean system is based on the fund financing. The opinion of the population was checked with the questioning. The pivotal part of my diploma dissertation and its main goal is the analysis of the second pillar accession availability from the age, income, family situation, investment strategy point of view and other criteria. The strategy with the low earning is suitable for the higher incomes only as resulted from the calculation. The more aggressive investment strategy with higher earning is convenient for the younger people with lower income and the older the more suitable access contingent on the higher income. As there is no interest in the second pillar participation the goal of my diploma dissertation is the proposal of alternative methods as investment or saving products of the bank institution for the old age security.

Identification of Products of Tetrapyrrole Pathway
HÁJEK, Jan
Cultivation of a model cyanobacterium Synechocystis PCC 6803 under low light conditions in the presence of glucose and TES buffer leads to a change of the medium color from colorless to yellow. The absorption spectrum of the excreted unknown compound indicated a possible relationship to plant chlorophyll degradation products. To confirm this speculation the compound was purified by a combination of solid phase extraction and HPLC. The mass and NMR characteristics excluded its close relationship to modified tetrapyrroles, nevertheless the precise structure could not be determined by these means due to a complicated nature of the compound and its high polarity.
