Social Network for Team Sports
Adam, Ivo ; Očenášek, Pavel (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This master thesis deals with development of a social network for organizing amateurish matches in collective sports. It is implemented in JavaScript. Client side is written in AngularJS framework. Server side is built on Node.js platform, uses framework Express and NoSQL database MongoDB. Resources stored on server are accessible via REST API. The social network integrates some plugins from existing social networks. For example login dialog or share buttons. The created application supports web browsers Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer version 10 or higher.
Gaining Knowledge and risk analysis from the Data of the Ingress Game
Vařák, Martin ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis describes searching for high-risk clusters of portals in the Ingress game by using data mining techniques. The work contains background for descibed problematics and methods and experiments used to search for theese information.

Simulation and Optimalization of traffic for Smart Cities
Petrák, Tomáš ; Burget, Radim (referee) ; Fujdiak, Radek (advisor)
The thesis is dealing with traffic management using telemetry networks. The problematic of telemetry networks and multiagent systems. A simulation model is proposed in Java which enables configuration simulation and assessment.
Web application on JAVA platform for data submission and evaluation
Zelenka, Pavel ; Beneš, Radek (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
This project mainly refers to use of the Java programming language for developing web application for organizing challenges focused on biomedical data. The project is focused on the comparison and selection of tools for developing and running application on server. The project includes a database schema, source code of application and basic development documentation.
Image data segmentation
Feature extraction from image data
Uher, Václav ; Beneš, Radek (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
Image processing is one area of signal analysis. This thesis is involved in feature extraction from image data and its implementation using Java programming language. The main contribution of this thesis lies in develop features extractors and their implementation in the program RapidMiner. The result is a robust tool for image analysis. The functionality of each operator is tested on mammogram images. A function model was developed for the removal of artifacts from the mammography images. The success rate of removal is comparable with other similar works. Furthermore, learning algorithms were compared on example detection of ventricle in ultrasound image.
Recognition of emotions in Czech texts
Červenec, Radek ; Smékal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
With advances in information and communication technologies over the past few years, the amount of information stored in the form of electronic text documents has been rapidly growing. Since the human abilities to effectively process and analyze large amounts of information are limited, there is an increasing demand for tools enabling to automatically analyze these documents and benefit from their emotional content. These kinds of systems have extensive applications. The purpose of this work is to design and implement a system for identifying expression of emotions in Czech texts. The proposed system is based mainly on machine learning methods and therefore design and creation of a training set is described as well. The training set is eventually utilized to create a model of classifier using the SVM. For the purpose of improving classification results, additional components were integrated into the system, such as lexical database, lemmatizer or derived keyword dictionary. The thesis also presents results of text documents classification into defined emotion classes and evaluates various approaches to categorization.
Image filters for evolutionary programming
Zavadil, Miloš ; Beneš, Radek (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
Image filters is a subset of signal processing. Image filtering is mainly used for highlighting an information. It can be useful for reduce noise, smooth pictures, enhance contrast or for edge detection. Image filter design itself is a time-consuming process. It is suitable to automate the process and give up the function of filter designing to preprogrammed system. Designing komponents for that system is aim of this work. It is part of an whole expert system. A set of information is given on input which are used for generating new image filters. Subsequently it will evaluate the relevancy of concrete image filter for subsequent use.
Comparison of Linux and Windows networking performance
Novotný, Radek ; Burget, Radim (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
My Bachelor’s thesis aims to provide a comparison of the performance of servers, i.e. measuring the load of their processors, physical memory, and the whole operating system over network communication using UDP protocol. For this purpose, I developed my own programs. Theoretical part of this work concentrates on the general overview on computer networks and their categorisation according to the ISO OSI and TCP/IP network models. Main differences between network interfaces for both models are provided; the TCP and UDP structures, layers, communication and protocols are explained. The choice was made to measure values for a Linux server with Linux SUSE 10.3 distribution, and a Windows server with Windows server 2003 R2. A program was created so that clients could send data via the UDP protocol on servers. The program is also capable of measuring packet loss which is caused by increased load on the servers from communication itself. It is essential to determine which operating system can eliminate this issue in a better way as this a crucial parameter when selecting a data server. Measurements are comprised in charts comparing load and data loss for a given number of users.
