Involment of adolescents in entrepreneurship in the Czech republic

(in English) The theoretical part of this Bachelor Thesis focuses on the option of including the youth into social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic, as an opportunity for the youth to adopt work habits, and, most of all, acquire experience necessary for integration into their life as a part of society. The Thesis focuses on the positives as well as the possible negatives, that the involvement of youth into the social entrepreneurship could bring. The evaluation was made based on the results of a quantitative research, which consisted of half-structured interviews with social workers, who work as staff in children's homes, half-way homes and lead workers of social businesses.
The impact of manager's education on managing an organization operating in the field of social work

(in English): This diploma thesis focuses on the impact of top manager's education on managing organization. Specifically, it focuses on directors who have studied in the field classified as helping professions and also have experience in managing an organization operating in the field of social work. The entire thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part introduces a definition of helping profession and presents field of education that a helping worker could study. It also introduces reader the theory of management, from historical development, through introducing management as a management process or as a group of managers. The last chapter of theoretical part presents a theory of management styles, a theory of communication or a theory of intentional influencing through control or support. Aim of the practical part is to find out whether and how education could affect for example manager's crisis management, communication in the organization, employee evaluation, attitude to employees or attitude to clients. A qualitative method was chosen for the research survey, specifically a form of semi-structured in-depth interview. Social Care in Camphill Community. Forces Eroding Social Care

This bachelor thesis is focused on camphill communities located in the vicinity of Scottish city Aberdeen. The aim is to describe the effect of negative factors formulated by theoretician Robin Jackson on social care provided by camphill Cairnlee House. The thesis is consisting of theoretical and empirical parts. The beginning of the theoretical part is dedicated to general concept of community work at first. Then the describtion of camphill community follows with its principles, ideas, history and important persons behind. In the empirical part the camphill community Cairnlee House is investigated. The negative effects of factors formulated by theoretician Robin Jackson are discussed. Social work with the indebted client from the point of view of a social worker

The bachelor's thesis deals with social work with an indebted client from the point of view of a social worker who works at debt counseling service. The theoretical part of the work will focus on the definition of indebtedness and related terms, causes of indebtedness, options for debt solutions (execution, insolvency), debt counseling, organizations for indebted clients, used methods of social work, etc. The aim of the research part of the work is to find out how the process of working with clients takes place from the point of view of a social worker of a debt counseling service in Liberecký region. What are the problems in the process of solving debts (insolvency)? What are the competencies of a social worker? This will be researched through qualitative research, interviews with social workers of debt counseling service.
Dignified old age - evaluation of the project "Don't get lost in old age"

The topic of the diploma thesis is evaluation of the project "Don't get lost in old age". This project is focused on education and counseling in topics of aging. In theoretical part, I focus on description of current situation of old age and aging, summarize old age associated key problems to which the project tries to respond. I also describe the concept of dignity, clarify the needs of seniors and their families. I also mention the possibilities of social services that focus on the elderly or support the carers. The main topic of the work is to introduce and evaluate the consulting portal and all its activities. The project includes many professionals such as a lawyer, nutritionist, financial expert, psychologist and social worker. Range of areas of consultations is therefore wide. However, in order for the project to reach the public as much as possible, it is necessary to direct activities right, to promote the consulting portal and increase interest in the topic of old age and aging with it. In practical part, through interviews with experts and project participants, I evaluate the functionality of the project and I map where improvements would be appropriate. The representation of socially disadvantaged groups in the social sector of buisness in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of social enterpreneurship in the Czech Republic and is specifically focused on the work integration of particular needy groups (such as ex-convicts, long- term unemployed, disabled persons and former alcohol or drug addicts etc.). The aim of the thesis is to identify patterns and regularities between specific groups and types of social enterprises they work for. The secondary data analysis explores social enterprises registered at czech social enterpreneurship website as well as the groups they employ and compares different approches of the enterprises. The qualitative empirical research uncovers enterpreneurs' motives and furthermore explores connections between the types of social enterprises and the target groups they employ.
Community work at church

This bachelor thesis covers the topic of community work in churches and aims to show how we can use community work in an ecclesiastical environment, which values community work brings to the ecclesiastical environment and what can be achieved with community principles. This thesis is comprised of a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, this paper describes the basic concepts and principles that are essential for community work and then applies this knowledge to the church environment. The practical part provides an examination of the congregation of The Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren in Prague 8 - Kobylisy and evaluates community activities from the point of view of the congregation's key personalities involved in them. The research is qualitative and was conducted through interviews.
Intergenerational programs realized by persons over 50 years of age in other people's families

This bachelor thesis will focus on the topics of intergenerational programs realized by people over 50 years in different families. The theoretical part characterizes families who have a need for intergenerational contact with other people. It will clarify the needs and advantages of the generation over 50 years. It will also describe the general features of intergenerational programs and explain their history. The practical part will mainly deal with the 3G-three generation program and compare its variants in the Czech Republic. The vision of this program is to connect people over the age of 50 with other families for a long-term friendly intergenerational relationship and mutual assistance. The main issue that this bachelor thesis will focus on is the difference in program delivery depending on local conditions. Furthermore, it will compare the Prague center with other centers in the Czech Republic. In the practical part, qualitative research will be conducted based on the interviews. Finally, recommendations will be offered for its further development in the Czech Republic.
Social farming

The aim of the thesis is to present the concept of social farming and to see if it is a suitable method of social integration of people with health and social disadvantages. It is an innovative approach that brings together two concepts: multifunctional agriculture and social services. The theoretical part of the thesis clarifies the idea of social economy and social business. It also focuses on social farming in the Czech Republic and Europe. It defines its theoretical background, actors and sources of funding. The thesis examines the link between agricultural activities and social work, benefits and limits of the concept for employees, farmers and the local community, and further focuses on the current problems that social farming in the Czech Republic is facing and that hinder its development. The data was obtained through semi- structured interviews. The results of the research showed countless benefits for all involved. The biggest disadvantage was the ignorance of the concept and the associated underestimation in society.
Public service as an opportunity to return to the labor market

This thesis "Community service as an opportunity to return at the labour market" deals with the topic of public services offered to receivers of jobseeker's allowance as a voluntary possibility to increase their incomes from social benefits. It focuses on the question whether community service for the long-term unemployed can be a means for their integration in the labour market. In the theoretical part different concepts of labour are introduced with emphasis being put on the importance of labour for people when it comes to their human needs, basic rights and at the same time to freedom of choice. The thesis deals with the problems of unemployment and mentions consequences of loss of a job. It introduces the development of unemployment, labour market policy and focuses on social policy in the area of support for people in material need which is connected with involvement in community service. This thesis also tries to introduce the application of community services in the Děčín region in a complex way. In the practical part the author makes a survey and compares evaluation of community services in four categories.
