Pedagogic Model of Teen Challenge
Láník, David ; Dočkal, Jan (advisor) ; Klimešová, Anna (referee)
This work is trying to describe a pedagogic model of Teen Challenge organization. The program is focused on helping drug addicted people. In the process after a man becomes addicted his personality could become completely disintegrated. A journey back from this condition of bond is really difficult but not impossible. Teen Challenge declares the necessity of renewing a spiritual aspect of personality and furthermore to keep focused on personal relationship with Jesus Christ. That is a way how to bring change which should be visible in other aspects of life as well. Further more education and pedagogic help is needed, too. Education and pedagogy should form the individual to reach positive results. The target of this work is to find our to what extend Teen Challenge pedagogic model influences an individual in the process of learning skills necessary to be able to live new lifestyle without drugs, alcohol and destruction and other unwanted elements. Since I consider "living the good values" a key factor in the therapy of the drug addicted, the work is focused on estimating a list of values necessary after finishing the program, its manifestations and ways the program contributed to it. Motivating Alcohol Addicts to Change
Oswald, Eduard ; Dočkal, Jan (advisor) ; Klimešová, Anna (referee)
The aim of this work is to show that the theme of motivation is a central topic in case of an alcohol addict. Dependence has many dimensions as well as a man has. It hits and changes the whole personality and represents a complicated structure of factors which transcends any medical concept. The goal of this work is to confirm both theoretically and practically dependence concerns human spirituality. Furthermore, it aims to show how complicated the phenomenon of motivation is and to point out connections between the factors influencing changes of an addict and his will and effort to change as well. That is why I focus on personality as a whole at first.. Secondly, I put forth a survey of possible approaches to motivation which I regard acomplicated and complete structure, not only within a frame of psychology but regarding philosophy, sociology and spirituality as well. Like I did on the topic of dependence, I focused on links between motivation and spirituality, too, aiming to account on pastoration possibilities in this field. The goal was to show that as for working on addicts pastoration has both theoretical and practical reasons. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The Crisis Moments in the Voluntary Service
Votrubcová, Marie ; Sivek, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Klimešová, Anna (referee)
My thesis deals with types of crisis moments of volunteers working in foreign countries. Their life there is influenced by many different factors (political, economical, cultural, environmental etc). Their behavior is also influenced by different perception of values, experience and habits to which they were accustomed at home. The cultural shock could show not only on their presentation but could have influenced on their personalities and performance. Feelings of homesickness, isolation, communication problems, frustration, desperation, anxiety or even fear for their life could be found easily between them. The first theoretical part describes the problems of volunteering while it's second, deals with problems of crisis and it's differentiation. I had searched for the common reasons of crisis while interviewing volunteers while backhome asking them about their experiences. It is hardly possible to describe here all posible factors that could trigger crises. What is crisis and what isn't, also depends on the status of every individual, his backround, resistence, training, experience and suitability for this type of work Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Importance of Community Care in Rehabilitation of People with Schizophrenia
Ondráková, Jana ; Klimešová, Anna (advisor) ; Najbrtová, Tereza (referee)
Psychosis is a word for illnesses with similar symptoms. Schizophrenia is also a psychosis. It is a serious mental illness starting in early age and that is why it can influence the continuity of life of disordered person. This is the reason why it is very important that the disordered person can easily get the right and early help by rehabilitation. I make a difference between two kinds of community in this thesis. First community is civic which is natural environment where everybody lives. The other community I am witting about is therapeutic one. For me the importance of civic community is mainly in prevention of mental disorders and early interception of psychotic disorder. The therapeutic community helps the disordered schizophrenic person with fixing relationships and getting self-confidence in communication and in life between other people, members of community. The other priority of community care is to integrate handicapped people back to the society. The easiest way to provide the helps is in the natural environment of disordered person. The aim of community care is to minimize the number of hospitalizations and shorter the period if hospitalization is necassary. The advantage of community care is orientation in after-care after the release from bed care. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
