1 This thesis concerns separation axioms in point-free topology. We introduce a notion of weak inclusion, which is a relation on a frame that is weaker than the relation ≤. Weak inclusions provide a uniform way to work with standard separation axioms such as subfitness, fitness, and regularity. Proofs using weak inclusions often bring new insight into the nature of the axioms. We focus on results related to the axiom of subfitness. We study a sublocale which is defined as the intersection of all the codense sublocales of a frame. We show that it need not be subfit. For spacial frames, it need not be spacial.
Development of vital lung capacity in children
Navrátilová, Nela ; Sedlak, Petr (advisor) ; Novák, Jan (referee)
Deficiency of physical activity can negatively affect the functional and morphological development of an individual. This bachelor thesis provides a basic overview of the anatomy of the respiratory system and the development of the lungs in the prenatal and postnatal period. It also follows up the development of lung function in children and the factors that influence this development. The parameters of the greatest informative value from the point of view of morphological and consequently also functional differentiation of the lungs are forced expiratory volume in t second, forced vital capacity and Tiffeneau-Pinelli index. These parameters of lung function are used by most studies that have evaluated the relationship between their level of development and the child's physical activity. The effect of physical activity on the development of lung function was recorded mainly in the pubertal and prepubertal periods. The health condition of the child is also limiting for the proper development of lung functions. Different values compared to healthy individuals occur, for example, in individuals with cystic fibrosis or asthma. Key words: Vital capacity of the lungs; spirometry; physical activity

Anthracological perspective on vegetation history in Roztoky u Prahy
Prach, Martin ; Novák, Jan (advisor) ; Beneš, Jaromír (referee)
This thesis researches forest history and human impact on it in prehistory and early Middle Ages by means of soil charcoal analysis, i.e. pedoanthracology. It focuses on a site called "Roztocký háj" with long-term human settlement near Roztoky u Prahy in central Bohemia. Pedoanthracology brings information about past woody vegetation that is very local and without much anthropogenic influence. On the other hand, archeoanthracology focuses on charcoal originating from archeological excavations directly from human settlements. These charcoals are therefore formed by human behaviour and provide general view on woody vegetation in wider surroundings of the site. Comparing results of these two approaches in Roztoky is allowed by long-term archeological excavations. They provided previously analyzed and partially published charcoal dataset. Newly obtained pedoanthracological dataset brings finer spatial scale, allows to find out the effect of local conditions on the charcoal spectra and also allows identification of possible purposefully selected taxa in the archeoanthracological assemblage. Another part of this work describes present-day vegetation around the soil profiles and examines it's possible continuity with the past vegetation. 4 soil profiles provided quite species-rich (17 taxa) charcoal...
Gait as a diagnostic marker for neurodegeneration
Pytlíčková, Kristýna ; Novák, Jan (advisor) ; Kotěrová, Anežka (referee)
This bachelor theis describes the relationship between gait and neurodegenerative diseases. The beginning of the work is devoted to the general definition of walking and factors that contribute to its variability. The strucutre of the walk cycle is described and what phases of the cycle look like. Subsequently, the evolutionary aspect of bipedia is outlined. The next part is devoted to the neural control of motor work. It describes which areas of the central and peripheral nervous system are involved in it and how the entire pathway from the central system, where the stimulus to motion is generated, through the nerve pathways to the periphery, where the movement is performer by the muscle unit. Then the thesis deals with individual methods used for quantification of walking. For the purposes of this work, these are divided into standardized ones that are routinely performer in a clinical setting, ie in hospital or laboratory, and real-life measurements, which are used for long-term monitoring in the patient's everyday life conditions. Standardized tests are further divided into non-invasive and invasive depending on whether or not the integrity of the individual is impaired. Practical application of these methods is described on four selected neurodegenerative diseases. Attention is focused on...
Immunological causes of female infertility
Bajerová, Kateřina ; Brynychová, Iva (advisor) ; Novák, Jan (referee)
Currently, up to 15 % of reproductive age couples struggle with infertility. Female infertility is the cause of conception issues in nearly 40 % of these cases. The origin of female infertility consists of wide range of causes and other factors. Immunological causes are certainly one of the most significant ones. In pathological conditions, defense mechanisms of female immune system can target alloantigens presented on sperm surface. Moreover, autoimmune response and antibody production can occur as well. Antibodies can target various parts of ovarian follicles and oocytes, phospholipids, nuclear antigens, enzymes etc. These antibodies can inhibit fertilization, maturation of oocytes and embryo, embryo implantation, and also recurrent miscarriages. The aim of this thesis is to summarize various causes of female infertility focusing on immunological pathologies. The thesis also describes functioning of immune mechanisms in the female reproductive tract and briefly touches on oogenesis and female hormonal cycle.
The case study of physiotherapeutical treatment of the patient with a diagnosis of spastic paraparesis as a result of intradural meningioma
Novák, Jan ; Nechvátalová, Vendula (advisor) ; Kolářová, Kateřina (referee)
Author: Jan Novák Title of thesis: The case study of physiotherapeutical treatment of the patient with a diagnosis of spastic paraparesis as a result of intradural meningioma Objective: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to elaborate theoretical knowledge about a spastic paraparesis as a result of intradural meningioma. The theoretical knowledges and findings were used as a base for creating proper physioterapeutical treatment for patients with diagnosis mentioned above. Methods: The thesis is devided into two parts, the theoretical part is aimed to spinal and spinal cord anatomy, its physiology and patophysiology. Moreover information about spinal cord tumors, their symptomatology, diagnostics and treatment are included. The practical part contains the case study of patient and includes in kinesiological analysis, detailed description of all the therapeutic units, out kinesiological analysis and the conclusion. This part gains its practical findings from specialized experience at rehabilitation department in Fakultní nemocnice Královské Vinohrady in period from 21st January to 15th February, 2019. Results: Patient's health condition has been improved. We could observe better muscle strenght and range of motion of lower extremities and participation of core muscles. Moreover quality of sitting,...
Analysis of Brewery Management
NOVÁK, Jan
The thesis deals with the analysis of the management of the Dalešice brewery. The thesis is focused on the financial aspect of the company, which is analyzed by using financial analysis tools and the non-financial factors that influence the existence of the brewery. The results of the financial indicators are compared with the results of the whole brewing industry. Based on the analyzes, solutions are proposed to eliminate possible inefficiencies and recommendations for the future development of the brewery.
