Language management in Japanese-Czech corporations in the Czech Republic

Since 1990, Japanese enterprises have been opening branches in Central Europe. The Czech Republic has been one of the most attractive markets for them and their investments have accelerated, especially since the Czech Republic joined the European Union in 2004. At the end of 2003, I began working as a Czech-Japanese interpreter and translator in several Japanese-Czech corporations in the Czech Republic. As I was involved in the multilingual situations of the economic subjects, I was interested in examining whether the multilingual situations had any effects on the economic activities. This study presents a survey of the language situations in three Japanese-Czech corporations in the Czech Republic, where I conducted semi-structured interviews with eleven respondents and recorded two meetings. I demonstrate how the communication between Czech and Japanese workers is practiced and I analyze the acquired data from the perspective of Language Management Theory (LMT). In addition to the semi-structured interviews and audio recordings, the data inc1udes participant observation based on my own activities as an interpreter and a translator. Social life of young people after the rise of communist regime in Czechoslovakia

This thesis is focused on the life of young people in the 50's of 20th century in Czechoslovakia and on the possibility of its self-realisation through the young organizations controlled by the communist regime. In the first part I am going to define communism, social and cultural environment in the 50's and I will try to build an overwiev of the youth organisations and their characteristics. The aim of this research through questionnaires is to create an impartial view over the social life of young people orientated on the organized aktivity.
Parts of human body in Czech and Russian phraseology

In this bachelor thesis we are exploring an occurrence of concerning human body phrases and idioms in a particular area of human head in Czech language comparing to Russian language. This material was acquired from CNK (český národní korpus - Czech national corpus) SYN 2005 and RNK (ruský národní korpus - Russian national corpus). We claim big alliance between the two languages, we are also noticing different frequencies in phrases. Following material can be used for translation or interpretation purposes.
Anglicisms in economic terminology in contemporary Czech and Ukrainian

This Bachelor thesis deals with the manner of incorporation of anglicisms in the area of economic terminology into the Ukrainian and the Czech language systems and its word-forming analysis with the aim of tracing the current tendencies of the adoption of anglicisms. The thesis also deals with the analysis of occurence of loan-worded terms in the specialised economic and professional texts in the Czech language and their comparison with the Ukrainian language.
The Czech verb and teaching Vietnamese students of Czech

My BA thesis is focused on the Czech and Vietnamese verb because verb is the basis of a Czech sentence. It is divided into three chapters. In the first two chapters of my work I used information gained from the sources listed in the bibliography. I compared the two languages with respect to typology. I discussed the differences between flexional and isolating languages. The third chapter is focused on a method of presenting the Czech verb to Vietnamese learners of Czech.
Comparative aspects of Czech and Ukrainian proverbs

This graduation work is dedicated to the problems of Slavonic paremiology on the base of comparative analysis of the Ukrainian and Czech proverbs. In my work I inaugurate theoretical, paremiological, comparative and gender questions of the selected sphere of proverbs. My work sconcetrates on female's proverbs. The basic aim of this graduation work is to determine paremiological minimums in both language areas, to analyze the structure of proverbs and to compare gender stereotypes.
Verbal phrasems with the verb "to be"

Cílem této práce je zjištění textových funkcí verbálních frazémů se slovesem pohybu jít a chodit. Vybrané frazémy pochází ze Slovníku české frazeologie a idiomatiky (SČFI) a jejich užití je sledováno v korpusu českém (SYN2000). Výsledky jsou porovnané s informacemi ve slovníku. Součástí práce je přesnější vymezení sloves pohybu. Práce je rozdělená do šesti kapitol. Na začátku jsou vysvětlené základní pojmy frazeologie s upřesněním místa verbálních frazémů v rámci této disciplíny. V kapitole III následuje strukturní klasifikace nalezených frazémů. IV kapitola upřesňuje užití frazémů v textu a ukazuje shody a rozdíly v gramatické informaci mezi slovníkem a korpusem. Kapitola V se zabývá sémantikou a funkcí sledovaných idiomů. Příloha obsahuje abecední a frekvenční seznam frazémů a tabulku zahrnující souhrnné informace o sledovaných frazémech.
The overview and the evaluation of the technical specifications of transparent materials for the production of composite wood panels

Work includes: general introduction to the components of the wood-based panels with a transparent layer, the history of their production. It includes requirements for individual components of composite wood panels and requirements for wood and other wood-based materials, which serve as reinforcement. Also mentions claims potting material, which serves as a matrix. It includes a description of the technology of wood-based panels with a transparent layer. This paper introduces the most commonly used material serving as a matrix, their distinctive characteristics essential for the production of composite plates. Compares parameters resins based on polyester, polyurethane and epoxy resins and analyzes the choice of a suitable material for producing a composite board based on user requirements. Part of this work is to design materials for the manufacture of composite board with controlled light distribution.
