The use of Creative Reminiscence Techniques in Work with Seniors
Fendrychová, Alena ; Čížková, Hana (advisor) ; Janečková, Hana (referee)
The bachelor thesis "The use of creative reminiscence techniques in work with seniors" is based on the premise that reminiscing is very important not only for personal integrity and identity of the individual but also for the relationships with others. The thesis discusses reminiscence as a focused work with memories of seniors aimed at improving the quality of their life. Various attitudes to reminiscence are described as well as the multitude of its goals. The focus is particularly on the creativity-based reminiscence. The practical part of the thesis describes a series of creative reminiscence sessions in four families. The purpose of the sessions was to enhance the intergenerational communication and relationships within the families through provoking a common activity. The author evaluates effectiveness of this type of reminiscence work with seniors on the basis of the feedback given by the participants of the sessions.
The Needs of Families Carying for Seniors Suffering by Dementia
Vintrlíková, Lucie ; Vorlová, Marie (advisor) ; Čížková, Hana (referee)
The needs of families carying for seniors suffering by dementia. The needs of families carying for old persons with dementia are serious social issue. The goal of my bachelor s work is to describe those needs with respect to their fulfilment by the field respiting care of Czech alzheimer society (later ČALS). I try to investigate if carying families know their needs and how are their needs fulfilled by the field respiting care. I ve chosen the field respiting care provided by ČALS. I ve organised four personal sessions with families members carying for the senior with dementia. On the basis of sessions I have established specific needs of families members carying for this kind of seniors and I have described how were their needs fulfilled by the field respiting care by ČALS. There are enclosures at the end of my work containing literal transcritions of all four sessions, description and characteristic of involved persons. My work discovery allows another point of view of carying persons needs by care providers.
The Transition from the Working Process to the Retirement
Štanclová, Marie ; Čížková, Hana (advisor) ; Dočkal, Jan (referee)
This work deals with the changes that take place in people already have retired. It addresses in particular the impact on their life in the last stage of life. Subsequently, a managing retirement as it is when people feel, describes the changes that take place in humans. Then mentions about retirement, pension types. Describes how it can be prepaired, adaptation. It talks about the roles that one has prior to retirement and beyond. Describes the reaction of older people themselves, their perception of this stage and at the same time, how they react to their surroundings. All information has been collected from respondents who have passed retirement. The structured interview was made with them and the obtained informations were subsequently processed.
Earth as a dynamic body
Dlask, Martin ; Čížková, Hana (advisor) ; Drozd, Zdeněk (referee)
This thesis is devoted to teachers and students of high schools. Its purpose is to deepen the knowledge that students may gain during geography lessons and to relate it to the information obtained during lessons of physics taught in high schools. The aim of this thesis is to introduce the most recent problematic of geophysics to students and to briefly explain the effects of physical laws, which they may encounter. This work is mainly focused on the description of the interior structure of the Earth, the Wave propagation thru the Earth, the heat movement of heat within the Earth and the rise of the magnetic field of the Earth. This thesis is divided into two parts, the first part is composed by study scripts in which are summed up and explained the geophysical findings about the Earth. For pedagogical purposes, physical findings that are needed to understand this thesis are also repeated and explained. The second part consists of a included presentation in PDF format that serves as medium for presentations about the Earth for teachers. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Leisure Activities for People with Disabilities in the Region of Tabor
Hlavatá, Zdenka ; Čížková, Hana (advisor) ; Klípa, Miroslav (referee)
In this bachelor paper I deal with free-time activities of people with disabilities in Tabor region. First, the description of characterization of physical disability is noted then the periodization of old age is described next the various opptions of different authors on free time are analyzed using quotations. Further, the survey of people with disabilities is presented. I mention their option on free time and what they consider the limits for spending free time. Moreover, the offer of free time activities in Tabor region is compared to expectations of the interviewed people and evaluated by the author. In this paper the satisfactions with spending free tiime of people with disabilities who live at home and of people with disabilities who live in institution is compared. In the final part the charts and graphs of the whole research are presented and are followed with my final evaluation.
The Implementation of the Standards of Quality in a Community Centre of the Salvation Army
Vopeláková, Pavlína ; Vorlová, Marie (advisor) ; Čížková, Hana (referee)
The title of thesis: 'The Implementation of the Standards of Quality in a Community Centre of the Salvation Army' The theme of the theses deals with the implementation of the standards of the quality of social services in a selected project providing a social service to elderly and disabled people. The text consists of four parts. Part one offers a theoretical delimitation of social services and their legislative frame. It pays attention to the Law on Social Services which, along with the Standards of Quality, has newly set the conditions and influenced the quality of provided social services. The thesis deals with the protection and observance of basic human rights within the area of social services. Part two deals with the issue of aging, changes during the old age, and considers the specifics of work with seniors while fulfilling their needs in social services. Part three presents a specific provider of social service and points at possible drawbacks and difficulties involved in the process of fulfilling the Standard on the Protection of Rights. Part four describes the areas in which the protection of user's rights could be violated. It suggests prevention measures aiming at avoiding problematic situations, e.g. a conflict of interest or a discrimination of users. The contribution of this thesis is a...
Influence of depth dependence of the Earth's mantle properties on thermal-convection characteristics
Šustková, Hana ; Matyska, Ctirad (advisor) ; Čížková, Hana (referee)
Aim of this work is a systematic investigation of the modes of thermal convection (onset of convection, stationary solutions, periodic solutions, chaotic states) in a material whose properties vary with depth like the material of Earth mantle; the problem was solved in Cartesian geometry. The Stokes equation set was consistently formulated in the spectral region not only horizontally but also vertically, and thus in the model consisting of layers with a constant viscosity but with general course of velocity and temperature in each layer. This equation set was solved with matrix method for each wave vector. Thermal equation was solved in the spatial domain and the transition of velocity and temperature between spectral and spatial domains was performed using the fast Fourier transform. This procedure allows a straightforward parallelization, thereby opening the possibility of not only two-dimensional but also three-dimensional modeling and modeling of chaotic regimes. On the basis of the numerical difficulties of method presented here an model investigated in finite elemens was used. The basic modes of thermal convection were then investigated using model assembled in the software Comsol. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Teleseismic earthquake occurrence and subduction-induced volcanic activity along island arcs
Kuna, Václav ; Špičák, Aleš (advisor) ; Čížková, Hana (referee)
This diploma thesis studies seismo-volcanic interactions at convergent plate margins. Its aim is to establish a statistical apparatus appropriate for analyzing seismicity patterns be- neath volcanoes. At the beginning, the thesis summarizes basic concepts of volcanism at convergent plate margins and basic seismological issues. The thesis takes advantage of so called EHB catalogue of hypocentral determinations based on data of the International Seimological Center. The analysis of combined space-time correlation dimension of the EHB catalogue established limits for a definition of seismic sequences related to co-seismic as well as post-seismic stress transfer mechanisms. The analysis of b-value of the Guten- berg-Richter law was carried out to estimate degree of heterogeneity of rock environment. Seismicity pattern beneath subduction-related volcanoes at 14 island arcs was studied by means of seismic sequence density analysis and the b-value analysis. The thesis concentrat- ed on submarine portions of the volcanic arcs, the magmatic/volcanic activity of which is poorly understood. We constrained areas with specific seismicity patterns and distinct sea- floor morphology in order to find potential volcanic structures. Five areas with specific seismicity pattern and pronounced morphological structure...
