Government Information Campaign "Against Missiles

This thesis deals with the communication campaign of the government of the Czech Republic with regard to the possible Czech participation at the project of the US anti-missile defense system. The project was implemented by the Czech government following the official request from the USA on January 19, 2007, consequently the Czech answer to this request on March 28, 2007. From the foundation of the Czech Republic it was the third communication campaign related to the question of the Czech sovereignty and to the position of the Czech Republic within the international community. The previous campaigns referred to the acceptance of the Czech Republic to the EU and NATO. The objective of the thesis is focused on tracing methods and specifics of the Czech governmental communication of that issue towards the Czech public. Content and formal features of the particular communication materials were analyzed by quantitative and qualitative content methods. The governmental information campaign on the radar device, respectively on the issue of the anti-missile defense system can be framed in the time period of May 25, 2007 and March 31, 2008, when the governmental commissioner for the communication of the project, Tomáš Klvaňa, was in charge. Cluster analysis methods and their applications in marketing

In this work we study algorithms for cluster analysis and their application to the real data. In the beginning, the various types of data are presented. We define dissimilarity measures for each type of data and for clusters to be able to do the clustering and evaluate the separation quantitatively. In the Chapter 2, there are described partitioning algorithms and some criteria to determine the optimal number of clusters. A part of this chapter is devoted to the fuzzy cluster analysis which is a generalization of partitioning techniques. Hierarchical algorithms are characterized in Chapter 3 as well as criteria for choosing the appropriate method. In the very end of this chapter, there is a comparison of all the methods in terms of various types of the separation functionals. Archetypal analysis, which is another data mining instrument, is described in Chapter 4. All chapters include illustration examples of usage. The main application part is the last chapter of this diploma thesis and it's based on the lifestyle survey in the Czech republic.

Diversity in the labor market

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the issue of diversity of the labor market in the Czech Republic on the example of specific organizations, evaluate the implementation of the concept of diversity in the workplace on the basis of selected factors. When analyzing diversity is an emphasis on primary and secondary characters of diversity: age, gender, ethnicity, mental and physical abilities, marital status, religion, work experience. The work consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines concepts: diversity, equal opportunities, primary and secondary characters of diversity, acceptance of the importance of diversity as a value. The practical part deals with the implementation of diversity into practice on the basis of the analytical methods (analysis: workforce, documents and research positions) and draft incorporation into relevant strategic processes of the organization.

Age management

This thesis processes the concept of the human resources management with respect to the age structure of employees in the intentions of the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part, there is outlined the history of the application of the principle of age management, focusing on current demographic trends, forecasts of population age structure, the aging workforce and the need to preserve the ability to work into old age. Points to the need to adapt corporate strategy, personnel management trend of an aging population. It presents ideas for the main underlying programs and legislative measures which form the basis of the latest concepts and strategic plans in the Czech Republic and Europe. The empirical part deals with a specific level of allowance organization established by TSU and two sub investigation. The first is a case study of age management staff. The resulting data are confronted with the results of a survey among employees of the organization. The second investigation are interviews with members of management and employees of the HR department on the issue of the introduction of age management, their awareness of the concept of age management, the question of age discrimination, the issue of maintaining the continuity of knowledge in the organization and their views on these topics. The outcome of this survey indicates a willingness and readiness of the organization has already received age management principles adhere to and develop further.

Methods of measuring the power parameters of diesel engines

The thesis deals with the performance measurement of tractor engine through four used different methods. In the first theoretical part of thesis is analysis engine design with its main groups and the second part explains methods of measuring performance and measuring equipment. In the practical part of thesis is the explained methodology of applied methods of measurement, together with their evaluation. The first applied method is performance measurement on the dynamometer, the second method is measurement of these parameters during free acceleration, the third method is measurement of parameters during free acceleration with load and fourth method is measurement of parameters using GPS. In conclusion of this part is to compare the results of each used measurement methods between themselves and the conclusions drawn from it.
