Methods of assisted reproductive technology and their use in selected European countries Abstract The objective of the presented study is to introduce methods of assisted reproductive technology (ART) and to evaluate the trends of their use in selected European countries between 2006 and 2012. The first part of the study is devoted to the theoretical introduction to the methods of assisted reproductive technology, factors influencing the effectiveness of the cycles ART and to give a comprehensive overview of law governing the conditions and availability of assisted reproductive technology. The second, analytical part of the study deals with the number of applied ART cycles, the number of embryos transferred and the proportion of live births after ART. Furthermore, the change of the age structure of women undergoing ART and the development of multiple births after ART. These selected indicators are first evaluated across the European region, using data from the reporting states of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). Finally, the results are compared to each of the five selected countries, specifically the Czech Republic, Denmark, Italy, Slovenia and the United Kingdom. Social housing in social policy

Social Housing in Social Policy Abstract This diploma thesis focuses on the current system of social housing in the context of the social policy of the Czech Republic. It deals with individual problem groups using social housing, involves the research of social housing situation in other European countries and the overall historical context that has led to the current social housing situation in the Czech Republic. The theoretical framework aims to the housing itself and family policy issues, all closely associated with the main topic. Since the subject is complex and broad, the analytical framework concentrates on social housing issues of the Prague 7 district. Current population in this particular territory is largely influenced by increased number of immigration of people mostly aged 20−45. As a result, the overall population is younger than in other parts and the number of seniors living in Prague 7 municipal district has been continuously decreasing. The outcomes of the population projection to the year 2050 suggest the proportion of age groups will probably change, and a high population growth is likely to happen under given assumptions. Mortality from infectious and parasitic diseases in selected countries of Latin America at the turn of the millennium Abstract This thesis deals with a group of causes of death called Certain Infectious and Parasitic Diseases defined by The International Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate mortality of this group of causes of death in selected Latin American countries at the turn of the millennium. It is generally known that in developing countries mortality rates from infectious and parasitic diseases are higher than in developed areas, where in the context of an epidemiological transition, when infectious diseases tend to be replaced by degenerative (civilization) diseases, mortality rates from infectious and parasitic diseases are significantly decreased. The main task was therefore to find out whether there is a reduction in mortality rates from infectious diseases in selected Latin American countries (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Peru). The intensity of mortality is expressed by standardized mortality rate and age-specific mortality rate which reach different values across countries, but a downward trend in mortality rates has been found in all countries over the reporting period. Comparison of demographic development of countries with different religions

The bachelor thesis tries to map the demoghraphic developement of the chosen countries and to find out or deny the links between the religious environment and the demographic situation during the 100 years period / from 1950 to 2050/. In total the analysis studies 77 countries in which most of the inhabitants belong to the one religious group. Religious afiliation of the inhabitants of the chosen countries is taken from the UN (United Nations) and CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) databasis. Demographic situation mentioned above is presented by the concrete demgraphic indexes - total amount of the inhabitants in the chosen countries, total fertility, life expectancy, infant mortality, total dependency ratio and sex ratio. The one hundred time year period allows to study not only the current situation but also its developement in the past as well as the presumed developement in the future. The bachelor thesis is based on the assumption of the stable ratio of believers belong to the dominant religion in the chosen countries from to 1950 to 2050. Population development and emigration of Maghreb's countries Abstract The main aim of diploma thesis is to map the migratory situation and trends of all area since 1990 up to the present in context of the population development in region of Maghreb's countries. This all is in connection with the population growth of the states - natural and total. Apart from the analysis of the whole Maghreb as one unit, the demographic parameters are in detail assessed on the example Tunisia. It is estimated that migratory streams of the inhabitants of North Africa's countries are largely directed to Europe. The analasis is focused on the breakdown of the target countries, emigrants and on changes during the reporting period. The analasis uses conventional demographic indicators, its own methods of processing often difficult available data at the same time and empirical investigation. The initial basis of analyzing given issues show the theoretical conception of population development in Arabic countries, with emphasis on demographic transition and dependent migratory transition. Analysis revealed that none of Maghreb's countries has not yet completed demographic transition, the second stage of the demographic transition since 2000 suspended. Family policy of Královéhradecký region in the context of population development

The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the Conception of family policy in Kralovéhradecký region for the period 2012-2016. At first bachelor thesis contains theoretical basis of family policy at national and regional level, then it evaluates issued Conception of selected region according to foundations and in comparison with conceptions of other regions of the Czech Republic. The analytical part focuses on the analysis of demographic indicators which relate to family policy, as well as evaluation services and other realted areas. The second part of analysis is the questionnaire survey, which was realized for the extension of this bachelor thesis and also to find out about awareness about Conception among residents of the Kralovéhradecký region.
