Pišová, Linda ; Sátora, Josef (referee) ; Kopáčik, Gabriel (advisor)
The project follows two previous semesters when the analysis of river Svitavy in Brno was elaborated together with colleagues Lenka Gulačovou and Zdeňka Sedláková. It dealt with the river's values and potential problems and subsequent recovery. Important aspect of the thesis is that it does not have the traditional form of urban study. The project extends into the theoretical plane, which is dedicated to the waterfront, the river in an urban environment and in particular to the issues of brownfields, that are substantial for the area of Svitava river. For this work I chose a site located close to the northern edge of the city (Obřany, Maloměřice, Husovice). Three sites are selected, their central motifs are islands and brownfields. Both of these phenomena have their values, problems, but also large potential. At selected locations (Obřany, Maloměřice, Husovice) I try to illustrate the options that are presented in the form of interventions. Selected locations continually follow each other and are connected by a series of interventions that improve the quality of the space.

My project is directed at social housing given position, surroundings' character and inhabitant's current necessaries. Selected place is the eastest part of urban project because of it's connecting with urbanized compact city and there is a possibility to build it in the first phase without respect to next realization according to urban project. There is designed a block of three buildings instead of a few separate buildings, the mass is simple and compact considering huge concrete high-rise block stand nearby and considering economical accessible social housing conception. The mail access is from Vídeňská street over Celní street, during building further housing development there is planned connecting with Vinohrady street and Jihlavská street. All houses are independent with having their own entry and accessories. Altitude differences of terrain are utilized for undergroung parking to enable using exterior place for inhabitants relaxation in the inner yard. Majority of flats meet the requirements to gain grant from Ministry of regional development or State fund of housing development.

The bachelor thesis assignment handles the project of the multifunctional house, located in the southeastern part near the Brno city center. The object is located between the Kopečná street and the Studánka street under the Šilinger square. Surrounding development consists of residential and office buildings. The proposed solution is based on the current parcel situation and of the overall situation of place. Location of parcel in the given locality reflects overall character and incorporation of the building to the existing built. The object is accessible through the both streets. Material solution of the object is based on the irregular height of neighboring buildings. The building is designed as a longitudinal wall system. Layout of the interior is designed as a dispozitional double tracts. Architectonic solution and interior layout reflects the nature of the neighboring low-rise buildings situated on the south side. Guesthouse Repechy - renewal and extension of farmhouse
Mokrý, Stanislav ; Janok, Jakub (referee) ; Sátora, Josef (advisor) ; Matějka, Libor (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is the reconstruction of a neglected farm in a small village Repechy at Drahany Highlands. The original layout was traditional square with an inner courtyard. Later the building was completely rebuilt inappropriately (demolition of interior walls, roofing over the courtyard) and used for breeding cattle. The investor intend to reconstruct and extend the building so it can be used as a guesthouse providing additional features – a restaurant, a gym and an indoor pool with whirlpool, which are accessible to accommodated and external visitors. Estimated capacity is approximately 50 beds and the same number of seats in the restaurant. Due to the poor state of the majority of structures, only a small part of the original building is preserved, namely the northeast wing which was originally used as a residential area. The original walls and beamed ceilings are complemented by a new reinforced concrete shear ring and a new ceiling slab (for comparison height levels of floors in the 2nd floor and probably insufficient bearing capacity of the original ceiling). New parts of the building are built using the NOVATOP construction system of prefabricated panels made of solid wood. Under this system are resolved both outer and interior walls, ceilings and roof. Roof covering is made of fibre-cement roof tiles. Insulation is made mostly of wood-fibre boards by STEICO. The design of exterior of the building is using two colors - pure white plaster uniting old and new parts and platinum gray highlighting selected elements (cornices, window and door jambs).
