Influence of Religious Services on Resocialization of Persons Serving a Prison Sentence

Bachelor thesis "Influence of religious services on resocialization of persons serving a prison sentence" initially describes evolution of prisons and spiritual development services from antiquity to the present. Subsequently, the personality of chaplain, his conjunction with ethics, activities of chaplain both while convict serves a prison sentence, so after the release of prisoners and documents on which the chaplain works in prisons, are introduced and with constitution Gaudium et spes. In the next section there will be introduced the civic association "Vezeňská duchovenská péče". There are mentioned basic informations about the association, conditions of membership in the connection with voluntary services in prisons, conditions of membership in the chaplaincy service and position of chaplain within the prison staff. The final section summarizes results of the polls, which were presented to convicts visiting their chaplains in four different prisons. According to these results there should be found the goal of this bachelor thesis - find out why people in prisons are motivated for attending the spiritual service and what is the impact of this service (according to prisoners). Aurelius Augustinus as a Teacher and Educator

The work presents pedagogical-educational approach of one of the most historically significant fathers of the Catholic Church Aurelius Augustinus. The bachelor thesis is based on his own writings which are available in Czech language. The introduction sets the direction and goal of the work as well as the reason why this work was written. After a brief presentation of the life events referenced in foreign literature published for the use within the religious Order of St. Augustine, the bachelor thesis focuses on Augustin's work - Christian Teaching. The approach to the following works: On Christian Doctrine, The Teacher and On Order is similar as in the previous chapter. The conclusion of all the findings for purpose of pedagogy within Augustin's works is listed in the chapter called Augustine's legacy. The final part of this bachelor thesis focuses on the question about the benefit of alternative concept of pedagogy by Aurelius Augustinus for today's Czech educational system, though only on a very general and subjective level. For inspiration the bachelor thesis mentions my own experience of participative observation at the school of St. Augustine in Prague.

Pastoral work with Adults in the Parishes of Prague 2

This thesis is concerning with pastoration of adults in Roman Catholic parishes in Prague 2. In this text are specified needs in certain age and defined activities and domains which can be filled with pastoral work. Further, this work is searching for criteria defined by Catholic Church in connection with pastoration of adult people and its subjects and objects both. On the basis of recognised demands of Church and needs of adults, there is critically assessed pastoration in seven parishes of chosen area. There are brought up ideas how to better answer the needs of adult people living in parishes in Prague 2.

Youth Pastoration in Church of Brethren

This Bachelor thesis is focused on the youth pastoration in the Church of Brethren. The goal is to provide sufficient Information on the Church of Brethren and its pastoral activities with the youth trying to find out if the young people there miss the spiritual authority, i.e. a pastor or other person dealing mostly with the youth. This thesis first outlines some basic concepts ("youth" and "pastoration"), the text is then divided into two sections (theoretical and practical) that are linked in a way to discuss the respective chapters and its topics. The last part of this bachelor thesis is summarizing the piece of information gathered through a questionnaire and provides a conclusion on it. This thesis is mainly aimed at providing a presentation of the Church of Brethren and its activity regarding the youth group and discovering needs and opinions of the young people in this denomination.

The Importance of Volunteering Work at the Salesian Oratory in Mexico

This thesis entlited The importance of volunteering work at the Salesian Oratory in Mexico. The aim of this thesis is to find out the function and importance of the voluntary work with children and youth in the surbubs of Mexico. This thesis is written on basis of my experiences of the volunteering in Ciuadad Juarez, Mexico. The first chapter of the thesis deals with the history of the Salesians and their founder Don Bosco. The second chapter is written about the history of the Salesians in Mexico with a description of some of the Salesian works. Third chapter is focused on the Salesian work in Ciudad Juarez, on the local situation and history. In fourth chapter term of volunteering is desribed, the benefits and difficulties and brief legislation. In conclusion, the research and evaluation of questionnaires on the importance of volunteering.

Social work student's view on the issue of homelessness

This thesis deals with issue of homelessness and homeless people. My goal is to describe students' opinions and attitudes towards homelessness and homeless people. I questioned this themas at the beginning of students' proffesional experience and also after attending practice. Students completed this practice in special facilities that help homeless people. They study discipline of social work on higher professional school or high school. They have not met homeless people during their practise so far, even though it can be assume that they have some knowledge about this issue, that is why I focused directly on students' changes of attitudes. I used two types of questionnaires. The results of this investigation are presented in the practical part, which begins with chapter number five. I found out that most of the students changed their opinnions and attitudes during my investigation.
