Bořík, Milan ; Šťastný, Petr (advisor) ; Kregl, Jan (referee)
Title: Training of offensive game activities of an individual during games in a small space in the 5th class (category U10) Goals: The main aim of these bachelor thesis is to create modern exercises, which are combination of games and skills in one unit. The exercises are focused on the development of two game activities of an individual and on the basic movement skill of skating. For each of these skills, I assigned ten exercises in small area games. Methods: In my bachelor thesis I used a qualitative description of exercises, which are focused on two skills that fall into the game activities of the individual and one basic movement skill skating. The stack of exercises is therefore focused on these skills in the U10 category. The exercises were created by combining games and skills together, so the exercises are very varied and suitable for the category. To create, I used the theoretical basis of the work itself, which I combined with the methodology of the Czech Hockey Association and my own experience, which brought me mainly movement games. Each exercise has a given form of difficulty, according to which we include the exercise in the training plan. The meaning of work: Efforts to improve training units, as games in a small space are known to many coaches only as 1vs1 or 3vs3. Kids need more variety, so...

The effect of various breathing variations on intra-thoracic pressure, bar kinematics and muscle activity in bench press exercise.
Blažek, Dušan ; Šťastný, Petr (advisor) ; Vágner, Michal (referee)
Title: The effect of breathing technique on intra-thoracic pressure, kinematics of barbell, and muscle activity during bench press exercise. Objectives: The main aim of this study is to determine relationship between breathing technique and bench press exercise. Furthermore, determine which breathing modification leads to overcoming highest resistance and how each individual breathing techniques (Valsalva maneuver (VM), Hold breath (HB), Lung packing (PAC), "reversed breathing" (REVB)) affects kinematics of barbell, and muscle activity, during different intensity (1 RM, 4RM, 8RM, 12RM). Methods: Experiment of cross-sectional character, with usage of our-calibrated sensor, for intrathoracic pressure measurements, 3D kinematics with passive markers and surface electromyography. For measuring anthropometric measurements was further used goniometer, digital scale, and measuring tape. Comparisons of the breathing techniques was done by analysis of covariance ANOVA, while particular parameters were compared by Pearson correlation. Results: Except of REVB technique, which indicated significantly lower load, there was no significant difference between techniques in lifted resistance. Similar effect was observed at results of intrathoracic pressure, where REVB technique showed significantly lower pressure,...
Strength asymmetries in female soccer players depending on the player's post.
Lisoň, Maroš ; Ižovská, Jana (advisor) ; Šťastný, Petr (referee)
Title: Strength asymmetries of female soccer players according to playing position Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis was to characterize the unilateral and bilateral asymmetries of knee flexors and extensors in elite football players based on player positions and to define the characteristic isokinetic strength profile for each playing positions. Methods: The research group consisted of 66 female football players who play in the highest czech league. The players completed laboratory testing under the supervision of qualified experts, which took place according to the standard conditions described in the methodological part of this study. In the case of players, we examined the strength asymmetries in the flexors and extensors of the knee and compared them between the 4 basic positions in football. Results: After summing the data from all angular velocities (60ř.s-1 , 180ř.s-1 , 300ř.s-1 ) we found that 33% of our attackers had quadriceps asymmetries above 10%, which was the most of all posts. This is followed by goalkeepers with 28% and midfielders with 25%. The lowest percentage of quadriceps asymmetries was recorded in defenders 22%. Even in the case of hamstrings, we recorded the most asymmetries (> 10%) in attackers, up to 46%. For midfielders and defenders, it was the same result for...
The significance of link between selected off ice tests and agility ilinoa on ice test in youth ice hockey players from the highest Czech competition
Chvátal, David ; Musálek, Martin (advisor) ; Šťastný, Petr (referee)
Title: Relation between selected off-ice tests and performance in on-ice Illinois Agility test of ice hockey players between 14-17 years old in Czech elite category. Objectives: The main goal of this thesis was to determine whether the somatotype and selected off-ice tests are significant predictors for performance in the on-ice agility test in ice hockey players in the youth elite category. Methods: The research group consisted 28 ice hockey players (8 forwards and 18 defenders) x̅ = 14,88 ± 0,57. Players played highest youth league during the measurement period. The method of Heath and Carter (1990) was used to determine the somatotype. Squat Jump, Countermovement Jump, Free Arm Countermovement Jump, Sit and Reach, pull-ups and off- ice Illinois Agility with a ball were used as off-ice tests. The Aspin-Welch two-samle T-test with Effect size (ES) Hedges' g was used to evaluate the degree of difference in performance between forwards and defenders. Pearson's correlation coefficient with ES coefficient of determination R2 was applied to determine the tightness of relationships between selected variables. Evaluation of the significance of predictors for performance in on- ice agility tests was performed through multiple regression analysis. The significance of the model was assessed according to the...
