Stereoscopic Face Images Matching
Klaudíny, Martin ; Kršek, Přemysl (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is dedicated to the problem of 3D face capture. A majority of current face capture systems exploits a pattern projection. The goal of thesis was to develop the 3D face capture system based on the passive stereo photogrammetry. The high-resolution images of a face are captured by one pair of the calibrated digital still cameras. The image pre-processing consists of the removal of lens distortion, rectification of image pair and face extraction. The stereo image matching is accentuated. Three different approaches to the stereo correspondence search are presented - the local technique, the global technique using a graph cut and the hybrid technique merging previous two. At last, the 3D model is reconstructed according to the found correspondence. The results show that the high-quality 3D face models can be obtained despite traditional difficulties with matching pattern-free face images. Also it is possible to keep the computational demands on the acceptable level, although the high-resolution images are processed.
Changing Object Appearance by Adding Fur
Relativně velká množina technik použitých v této práci zahrnuje obrazy s velkým dynamickým rozsahem, metody extrakce 3D tvaru z obrazu, výsledky výzkumu vnímání tvaru a osvětlení a fotorealistické renderování.
Recognition of Poses and Gestures
Jiřík, Leoš ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis inquires the existing methods on the field of image recognition with regards to gesture recognition. Some methods have been chosen for deeper study and these are to be discussed later on. The second part goes in for the concenpt of an algorithm that would be able of robust gesture recognition based on data acquired within the AMI and M4 projects. A new ways to achieve precise information on participants position are suggested along with dynamic data processing approaches toward recognition. As an alternative, recognition using Gaussian Mixture Models and periodicity analysis are brought in. The gesture class in focus are speech supporting gestures. The last part demonstrates the results and discusses future work.
Object Tracking in Video Sequences
Mlích, Jozef ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
In this master thesis, image processing methods and methods for statistical modeling of motion are presented. First, description methods of image processing, such as background subtraction method used for object detection, are presented. Next, description of morphological operations, such as dilatation and erosion, is done. Finally, methods for statistical modeling, such as Kalman filter and particle filters, are shown.
Fast Ray-Triangle Intersection
Havel, Jiří ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
Triangle is the mostly used primitive in computer graphics. Calculation of its intersection with a ray has many applications and is often a bottleneck of a program. This work focuses on its usage and various methods of calculation. It tries to combine these techniques to achieve high performance on modern processors.
HDR Image Processing
System for Management of Photographic Collections
Marcelyová, Andrea ; Juránková, Markéta (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with design and implementation of a selected feature to manage a collection of photos. The history and development of photography is described as well as digital image representation, ways to modify photos, metadata in digital photos and two existing applications for managing and editing photo collections. The choice of feature, design and implementation description follows. I have chosen the Exif data editing in a digital photography. The method of proving the application functionality is suggested. At the end of the thesis there is a discussion about results and further extension options.
Radar Signal Processing
Komora, Matúš ; Maršík, Lukáš (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This work is devoted to signal processing and evaluation of Doppler radar. By Signal processing is specifically means to calculate the velocity of the object based on the responses received from the radar. Mathematical method used is a discrete Fourier transform, which is one of the standards in the analysis of signals. Because of the radar signal is random, discrete Fourier transform itself is not sufficient to obtain accurate results, so it is necessary to use other methods that try to minimize weaknesses.
Optical Field Evaluations for Hologram Synthesis
Fedorko, Matúš ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
The primary concern of this work is computer generated holography, in particular accelerating computation of synthetic holograms by means of modern-day massively parallel graphics chips. It starts by introducing fundamental holography principles together with mathematical and physical concepts behind it. Following discussion then deals with OpenCL, which is a relatively new, but well recognized standard for GP-GPU programming. Finally, the last two chapters of this work give an overview of problem analysis and its implementation in C++.
User Interface for Monitoring and Control of Visitors
Nosek, Petr ; Žák, Pavel (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This document contains a description of a design and implementation of a user interface for monitoring and control of visitors. Information about incoming visitors and assigned guest cards are recorded in this electronic evidence. Guest card allows a user free movement inside the object. Receptionist has always a summary of current visitors and the length of their stays. In the document there are also mentioned techniques and procedures which speeded up program development and  reduced number of errors.
