Social and Demographic Development of the Manor Blatna in 17th-19th Century

The topic of this diploma thesis is the social and demographic progress in manor Blatna in the 17th-19th century. During almost three hundred years' period the various demographic indicators are monitored, such as natality, nuptality, mortality but there are also described other detailed problems (f.e. illegimate children, multiple births, causes of death, sizes of individual villages, etc.) In addition to information obtained from the register books the thesis author uses all kind of different sources, such as seigniorial registers or censuses, which enable to study the population social status of this south-czech manor, especially their occupation, or the actual amount of dependants. In the final section of the diploma thesis there is presented the list of all cognomens and surnames, which occured in that period in manor Blatná. Guilds in Uherský Brod

The Abstract The present work deals with the guilds, which operate on the territory of Uherský Brod from its inception to the year 1859, when the guilds were replaced by trade licensing crafts. The introductory part brings the history of the city itself and guild system. An important milestone in the life of the guilds became the release of the general guild patent and articles. Said instruments are described in separate chapters. The main part is divided into five groups according to the orientation of individual trades, which is an attempt to answer questions about the formation of the guild and its development from archival sources. Diaries of Josef Volf as a Probe into the Czechoslovak Librarianship

Resource basis for this work will be thee editorially still unprocessed diary parts of librarian, historian and teacher Josef Volf (1878 - 1937) - from the years 1925, 1933 and 1935. Thematically, the work will build on previous bachelor thesis Library of the National Museum in the first half of the 20th century through the eyes of Josef Volf. Now, however, will dela with personalities Josef Volf from the perspective of his teaching at Charles University, and especially at the State Library School. In this connection, will focus on the establishment and functioning of the educational institutions and the general process for creating a library legislation at the beginning of the first Czechoslovak Republic. Volfův diary should help reveal the specific difficulties of implementation of the Law on public libraries, discussions among experts in an informal level and the impact on the field of librarianship and library development and organization after its introduction. In addition, work will reflect the daily work issues, events, insights and finally Joseph Volf relationships with coworkers and acquaintances that are reflected in the records. It also represents one of the oldest Czech scientific institutions, the National Muzeum. Author describes development of important Czech scientifically periodical, Journal of the National Muzeum. Based on source she presents bibliographical view and accents significant moments in its history. She's trying to describe and to introduce personalities, which have led this periodical and its authors. Brotherhoods and Guilds of Tradesmen and Craftsmen in Prague Cities from Late Mediaeval Period to the End of Guild System

(in English): This master thesis follows the history of Prague guilds from the very beginning of their system to the end in 1860. Research was focused on cities which created former Prague - Old Town, New Town, Lesser Town and Hradčany. At first, used sources and their evaluation for the above mentioned research are described. There are reflections of the most important moments in the history of guilds in the Czech Lands, especially in Prague towns at that time, in the next chapters. Main goal of this thesis is to reconstruct a picture of all historical guilds and brotherhoods in the cities of Prague. My own research reflects knowledge of previous researchers. These were thereafter compared to some new sources and revised. Unknown parts of the history of Prague guilds were elaborated, such as history of this system in modern period. Based on some particular knowledge of history of singular guilds new hypotheses of general evolution of guilds in Prague were formed. Attached are glossaries of names of professions (Latin, German and Old Czech), that were in Prague towns in the past.

This thesis investigates the Journal of the National Museum since its origin to the sixties of the 19th century. Based on work with historical sources presents the Journal's contribution to development of Czech literature and science effort in this period. The Journal was for decades one and only of its kind in Czech countries. The Journal reflects stabilization of Czech language and the development of specialized scientifical terminology. Furthermore, this thesis presents institution of the National Museum and the Treasury - Matice česká and their connection with the Journal. This important connection shaped Czech scientific and literary scene in the early thirties of the 19th century. Thanks to the National Muzeum and its collections of old Czech literature monuments, Matice and the Journal began publishing various historical sources, which are very important for historical knowledge. Space is given to the editors who participated in the Journal's creation and who greatly influenced its final appearance. Thesis contains detailed informations on the founder and first editor of the Journal.

This bachelor's thesis deals with the person of JUDr. Karel Hostaš. The aim of the thesis is to map the scope of activities of JUDr. Karel Hostaš while focusing on his historiographical and archaeological activities. JUDr. Karel Hostaš was born, lived and worked in Klatovy and is therefore inextricably linked with Klatovy's region, however, his work, with its significance, has transcended regional borders. Following a chapter with his biography there are chapters that focus on the work of JUDr. Karel Hostaš: he was universally oriented person engaged in advocacy and notary, public political activities, collections, museum and ethnographic researches, archival science and literary activities. This is followed by the main section, which is devoted to historiography, archival and archaeological activities of JUDr. Karel Hostaš.
Legislation in the area of records management, analysis and revision of records management in municipal office of Sušice

The aim of the bachelor theses is to provide complete overview of contemporary legislation, directives and methodical manuals which regulate the implementation of records management. The next part is focused on regulations prescribing form of records management in an environment of municipalities with extended scope. One of the sections of the theses will also be practical part focused on analysis of established records management of the municipal office of Sušice and also making or actualization basic methodical manuals and directives according to requirements of contemporary legislation. The effort of the work is to sumarizing the course of preparated works on the edition, first the work of Josef Emler, his methods and its results - two publicated volumes of edition. Except this the aim of this work is preparing of background for the publication of the remaining part of the material, collected by Emler for never publicated continuing of the edition, as a necessary presumption of any other search into this direction.
