Applet for Playing the Go Game
Dosoudil, Jan ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Křena, Bohuslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with development of a Java applet for playing the board game of Go against computer as well as for playing Go by two human players connected by the Internet. The applet does not implement artificial intelligence for ruling and playing the game, however, it exploits an external Go engine trough the Go Text Protocol (GTP). The game of Go is probably the most complex board game and implementation of the engine is out of the scope of this thesis. The game of Go is not well know in Europe, so, there is given a brief introduction to history and rules of Go for the reader at the beginning of the thesis.

This bachelor's thesis is oriented on an implementation of homework for a subject Algorithms, which is taught in second year-class on Faculty of information technology of University of technology in Brno. For homework's correction is used system for automatized homework correction. A modification of this system is part of this submission too.
Chess Program with Various Chess Variations
Mydliar, Ján ; Křena, Bohuslav (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
The main task was create a program allowing human play against the computer and computer to computer with the option selected variants of chess. To start work describes algorithms for playing games and their various features. The following is a copy of selected options, evaluation function, the changes on top of the program and the graphical user interface.
Static Analysis of Java Programs
Vyvial, Pavel ; Hýsek, Jiří (referee) ; Křena, Bohuslav (advisor)
The project SHADOWS has started research which is developing software for automatic bug healing. We work with self-healing software, which looks for concurrent bugs. If the~detection software finds a bug, the healing action will be performed. After every healing action, one would like to know whether this action has fixed the detected problem and, perhaps even more importantly, that it has not caused any other, possibly even more serious, problem. Therefore this paper describes a technique which gives the answer for this question after automatical healing. One can fix some concurent bugs by adding healing locks. One does healing assurance by searching monitorenter instruction and uses Control Flow Graph analysis over Java byte-code. The prototype uses static analysis (tool FindBugs) for this purpose.
Module for Electronic Communication with the Czech Tax Administration
Havlena, Jan ; Jurka, Pavel (referee) ; Křena, Bohuslav (advisor)
Bachelor thesis "Module for Electronic Communication with the Czech Tax Administration" has aim at the creation of module for electronic communication with the Czech Tax Administration (CTA) and implementation of one pilot electronic declaration of taxes for this office. It deals with legislation and methods used for declaring tax. It analyzes the used technologies: XML, methods of creation of digital signatures, signed certificate, certificate authority and HTTPS communication. Next, it describes procedure of layout, implementation of module for communication with CTA and problems solved during the implementation.
Preparation of Homeworks in the Course Algorithms
Trávniček, Jan ; Dvořák, Radim (referee) ; Křena, Bohuslav (advisor)
This bachelors thesis describes creation of homework in the course Algorithms. Three newly implemented homeworks form the most important part. A modification of a system for automatic homework evaluation is a part of this thesis too.
Comparison of Programs for Scheduling
Kubalcová, Monika ; Martinek, David (referee) ; Křena, Bohuslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with timetabling issues at the Faculty of Information Technology, Brno University of Technology. It focuses mainly on scheduling of lectures and exams for students. In first part, the current situation, restrictive conditions and actual procedure are described. Afterwards, theoretical aspects of scheduling problem are discussed. In the second part of the thesis, selected software application for automatic generation of timetables are compared. The most suitable application is then evaluated by producing a real timetable. The achieved results are discussed and the future directions are suggested in the conclusion.
Chess Program for Various Chess Variations
Jadrníček, Zbyněk ; Křena, Bohuslav (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis describes process of creating chess program allowing human play against computer. First part explains chess rules, next parts are about artificial intelligence. Thesis deals with nontraditional chess variants and also with changes, which were made in implementation in comparasion with classical game. It compares usual chessboard representations in computer, methods of playing games and techniques of evaluation chessboard state. The aim was to achieve high artificial intelligence by using of effective algorithms.
BiBTeX Style for ČSN ISO 690 and ČSN ISO 690-2
Pyšný, Radek ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Křena, Bohuslav (advisor)
This thesis describes the creation of a BibTeX bibliographic style which could be used for the typesetting of bibliographic references according to the ČSN ISO 690 standard. The requirements of the ČSN ISO 690 standard are discussed, followed by the format of the interaction between the LaTeX typesetting system and the BibTeX tool. The structure of the bibliographic database and the bibliographic style that is required by the BibTeX tool is further elaborated. Electronic Mail Room of the BUT
Tomášek, Milan ; Křena, Bohuslav (referee) ; Marušinec, Jaromír (advisor)
The main purpose of this master's thesis is to create electronic mail room of The BUT. First of all I described problems concerning a digital signature, its use and safety, and as well as sphere of qualified certificates and method of their issuing by certification authority. The next part of the thesis deals with systems enabling electronic submission (so-called "Electronic Mail Room"). I have focused on available applications providing electronic submission service to civil offices, and subsequently analyzed functions that individual applications offer to the Mail Room clients as well as to authority staff. On the basis of gained knowledge and according CVIS requirements I created project of electronic submission for needs of the Brno University of Technology. Result of this thesis is the application of electronic mail room, implemented in BUT portal.
