Comparison of the current development of the Chinese and Indian economy
Procházka, Jiří ; Žamberský, Pavel (advisor) ; Hasík, Gabriel (referee)
The goal of this bachelors thesis is to find the cause behind current uneven economic landscapes of China and India. I have achieved this goal through utilising comparative analysis. Through the analysis, I have determined that both economies developed in a similar fashion up until the 1960s. After this period I have compared the economic development of both countries until the end of the Indian transformation period in the year 1998. I focused on the transformational process of both countries, specifically the aspect of opening up of both economies to foreign trade and capital i.e. I compared their trade and investment policies. Via the content of these policies which I confront with the macroeconomic reality I determined their effectivity and I searched for key differences that are responsible for the current uneven economic state of the two countries. The main differences that I describe in the paper are the differences in sector structure (Indian focus on services as opposed to Chinese focus on manufacturing), opposite approaches to producer surplus and the execution of the transformational process (the aspect of opening up).
Reporting of socioeconomic data using R Markdown
Sládek, David ; Sobíšek, Lukáš (advisor) ; Procházka, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor thesis does theoretical as well as practical research in R Markdown tool. The practical part should serve as a guide for new users of this system. The description of features of this tool is shown directly at this thesis, because it is completely written in R Markdown. The second part investigates the possibility of quantification of religious belief's strength in several European countries and comparison of this belief among them. For this purpose has been used basic tools of contingency analysis. The results show different tendencies of strength of belief among some countries.
Analysis of criminality in regions of the Czech Republic
Marková, Markéta ; Procházka, Jiří (advisor) ; Bílková, Diana (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of criminality in regions of the Czech Republic. Data related to the issue was obtained from the mapakriminality.cz web site maintained by the Czech Police. The thesis is divided into 3 chapters. The first chapter focuses on the general introduction to the concept of criminality. The second chapter defines three regions which, according to the results of the investigation, should be more prone to commit offenses. The third chapter contains the used time series methodology applied in the other three subchapters, which deal with the detailed analysis of three subjectively selected offenses. The aim is to obtain basic information of criminality in the form of selected offenses, to identify problematic regions and to create predictions of criminality in individual regions for the year 2017.
Data Visualisation Methods in the Statistical Computational Programme R
Hanková, Monika ; Procházka, Jiří (advisor) ; Malá, Ivana (referee)
Visualisation is a key element for analysis in statistics. This thesis describes data visualisation methods in the statistical computational programme R which, thanks to add-on packages, contains several tools for plotting. Data visualisation may be much more complicated than it seems to be, the focus is aimed at the general connection between packages as well as the particular visualisation of base graphics, ggplot2 and lattice package. These packages are built based on the traditional graphical model in R, grammar of graphics and trellis plotting. The interactive shiny app provides an overall view about how the data are visualised by each package.
Time series analysis of uninsured vehicles accidents
Vagenknecht, Martin ; Procházka, Jiří (advisor) ; Sobíšek, Lukáš (referee)
Thesis is focused on a time series analysis of uninsured vehicles accidents in Czech republic between years 2003 and 2011. The objective is to create a time series model with appropriate statistical methods to detect and quantify seasonal patterns in given data. The goal is to find a season or period within a year where significantly different levels of accidents occures. Final model belongs to the category of dynamic regression, containing dummy variables, deterministic trend and ARMA component.
The design of revitalization wiring of the house with the construction of the cabinet-making workshop with the creation of project documentation
Procházka, Jiří ; Novotný, Jan (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of the electrical installation of a family house with a joinery workshop. The thesis consist of 3 parts. In the first part, the reader is acquainted with the heavy current and low-current installation, where the individual types of distribution are described. The second part deals with fire protection of buildings, which describes ways of protection against fire. At the end, the reader is familiarized with the current state of the electrical installation and with the main design. The main design includes distribution diagrams, switchboard design, technical report and budget.

Procházka, Jiří ; Hanel, Lubomír (advisor) ; Řezníček, Jan (referee)
The Abstract The main purpose of my thesis is to make summary of conventional and unconventional livestock and their importace to man. My thesis brings in survey of the most significant kinds of breeds and their economic exploitation. A separate section is devoted to Czech breeding of essential kinds of livestock in reference to their conditions and animal production capacity. Out of unconventional groups of livestock, the attention is devoted to birds from out superorder runners. The importace of meat in man's nutrition is widely discussed. As a part of thesis, a public inquiry was compiled and analysed. It was interpreted on samples of students and workers of educational institutions. The inquiry discovers the influence of respondents'demografic field and other circumstances upon meat consummation. As a suplement to the biology education at primary and secondary schools, a CD- ROM is made containing questions to systematic zoology of birds from among superorder runners. Key words: domestication, livestock, runners, meat, inquiry
