Model of a Betting Office
Matúška, Peter ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Grulich, Lukáš (advisor)
Document analyses the betting office as economic subject. It shows how to make its model good to watch economic properties of this subject including commercial and other influence on customers. It also shows implementation of this model in C++ programming language with SIMLIB simulation library and results of simulating and experiments with this model.
Application for Monitoring System Resources of OS Windows
Holub, Ondřej ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Grulich, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the monitoring principles of the system devices in the environment of the Microsoft Windows Operating System. The emphasis is placed on the system services and functions which are utilizable for the system resources monitoring. Some aspects related to their functioning are discussed and specified. The implementation part is represented by an application for the system monitoring based on these services and functions. The evaluation of the work and a possible extension is mentioned in the conclusion.
The Generic Foreign-Language Dictionary
Grim, Ondřej ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Grulich, Lukáš (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis describes design and implementation of universal foreign language vocabulary. That means application which provils translation between two oferent languages, saved in attached database. It introduces reader with problematic and shows its processing in program part of this thesis.
System for Support of Dynamic Data Structures Learning
Trávníček, Jiří ; Grulich, Lukáš (referee) ; Křena, Bohuslav (advisor)
The main objective of this work is to design and implement an application that can be used as an aid for the education of programming essentials. Particularly, the attention focuses on the domain of dynamic data structures. The target application will be implemented with the use of web technologies so that it can be run in an ordinary WWW browser. First of all, a brief introduction recapitulates the data structures to be covered. Then the work summarizes the usable technologies available within the web browsers with the focus on the particular technology (which is DHTML) that will become the target platform. The most significant part of this work then discusses the design of the final application. This rather theoretical part is then followed by the description of the practical implementation. A short user manual is also included.
Application of Design Patterns in .NET Environment
Miško, Stanislav ; Grulich, Lukáš (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design patterns in .NET environment. The theoretical part consists of four chapters. The first one is about the code of enterprise applications focusing on readability, robustness and reusability. The second chapter briefly describes the structure of 3-tier applications. The rest of work is about the design patterns pointing out its help in designing large applications. The thesis also describes the implementation of chosen design patterns.
The Betting Agent
Bělohlávek, Jiří ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Grulich, Lukáš (advisor)
This master thesis deals with design and implementation of betting agent. It covers issues such as theoretical background of an online betting, probability and statistics. In its first part it is focused on data mining and explains the principle of knowledge mining form data warehouses and certain methods suitable for different types of tasks. Second, it is concerned with neural networks and algorithm of back-propagation. All the findings are demonstrated on and supported by graphs and histograms of data analysis, made via SAS Enterprise Miner program. In conclusion, the thesis summarizes all the results and offers specific methods of extension of the agent.
Experiments with the Swarm Intelligence
Hula, Tomáš ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Grulich, Lukáš (advisor)
This work deals with the issue of swarm intelligence as a subdiscipline of artificial intelligence. It describes biological background of the dilemma briefly and presents the principles of searching paths in ant colonies as well. There is also adduced combinatorial optimization and two selected tasks are defined in detail: Travelling Salesman Problem and Quadratic Assignment Problem. The main part of this work consists of description of swarm intelligence methods for solving mentioned problems and evaluation of experiments that were made on these methods. There were tested Ant System, Ant Colony System, Hybrid Ant System and Max-Min Ant System algorithm. Within the work there were also designed and tested my own method Genetic Ant System which enriches the basic Ant System i.a. with development of unit parameters based on genetical principles. The results of described methods were compared together with the ones of classical artificial intelligence within the frame of both solved problems.
Support of Learning the Lithuanian
Kunetka, Martin ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Grulich, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis analyzes the requirements imposed on applications for teaching foreign languages and proposes a structure and functions of a program fulfilling these requirements in a specific case of Lithuanian language. The proposal is afterwards implemented and evaluated in the respect of meeting the objectives.
Artificial Life Simulator
Popek, Miloš ; Grulich, Lukáš (referee) ; Martinek, David (advisor)
Area of artificial life is very extensive. Simulations with reactive agents are the target of this work. Simulator of artificial life and language for definition agent's behavior are described in this work. Porposals a results of simulation made are described in this work.
Application for Processing of a Photographed Text
Genčúr, Martin ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Grulich, Lukáš (advisor)
This work introduces main approches for converting a photographed text into black and white form. It analyses particular methods being used for this task. Following part describes implementation of the application performing a conversion. The program is tested with suitable data (coloured picture, a picture with various shades etc.) and illustrates the usability of the application. The thesis also contains an introduction to optical character recognition (OCR) and suggests potential ways of development of this application.
