Forgiveness and reconciliation from the psychological point of view

This work aims to introduce readers to the issue of forgiveness, reconciliation and their common aspects and provide basic knowledge. The literary overview of the text in the first two chapters separately deal with the phenomena of forgiveness and reconciliation. Chapters begin with a general introduction, the theoretical definition of phenomena and their possible types. Unforgiveness is also described. The following describes the process conditions, factors and implications. The third chapter covers common aspects that are preceding events, the attribution and option strategies. The conclusion of this chapter contains a description of the combination of these phenomena and their therapeutic uses. The second part contains the proposal for a qualitative research project. Its aim is to analyze the role of reconciliation and forgiveness in the reconciliation process. Psychological aspects of foster care for a temporary period

This bachelor thesis is dedicated to the psychological aspects related to foster care for a temporary period. Firstly, it describes the position of this type of care in the system of foster care in the Czech Republic and it also defines this type of care in detail. Furthermore, it deals with important psychological connections, such as contradiction between professionalism and parenthood, the topic of short-term duration of this type of care and psychic needs of a child, especially the need of an open future and positive identity. It also emphasizes the issue of attachment and, at last but not least, psychological aspects from the view of a foster parent for a temporary period. The aim of the thesis is to identify and describe the psychological aspects and to connect certain facts and figures with a proposal of our own qualitative research. The exploratory aim is to find out whether there are any specific aspects or expressions in which the children who spent the first year of their lives in temporary foster care will differ from children who spent the first year of their life in a different type of care. Mental development of children with low birth weight

The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the specifics of mental development of children of preschool and school age with very low to extremely low birth weight. The theoretical part is focused on prenatal and perinatal factors, the most common health problems and specifics of psychological development. Low birth weight, especially in the category of very low and extremely low birth weights poses a significant risk factor in somatic and mental development of these children. There is an increasing tendency in children with low birth weight to show the impact of immaturity in the areas of neurocognitive and psychosocial maturation. The aim of the empirical part is to evaluate the cognitive and socio-emotional development of children with very low to extreme low birth weight in two age groups (preschool and school age). The primary target group are children with perinatal stress, which are monitored and maintained therapeutically in the Center of complex care for children with perinatal stress at the Clinic of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, General University Hospital and 1st Faculty of Medicine at Charles University. Hyperactivity (ADHD) - releasing and protective factors

The bachelor thesis focuses on the phenomenon of ADHD which is in our society with ever increasing intensity and frequency. It focuses on terminology connected with this phenomenon and on the factors that trigger ADHD (genetic and nongenetic, with focus on describing basic knowledge about possible causes of this disorder) and also on protective factor - how can we work with children with ADHD and how we can influence and moderate behaviour connected with this disorders. The empirical part focuses on the design of a research project that would be interested in a sample of younger school children. Within several interviews, facilitating and protective factors of ADHD (that could lead to improving care of children with ADHD), should be discussed and found.
