Music Instrumental Ensembles at Primary Schools

The thesis is focused on the activity of children instrumental ensembles in the region of the capital city Prague. In the first chapter we are studying the role of a musical instrument during the development of musical education in Czech schools. The next chapter concerns with psychological aspect of the human personality. Musical skills and abilities acquired by playing musical instrument and especially engaging in an ensemble, where it is important to perceive every other person and instrument support its development. The teachers are also an important part of an ensemble. We are dealing with use of the musical instruments that are currently available for teachers at schools. The research part of the thesis is dedicated to the particular ensembles in the region of Prague. Our goal was to map and summarize what motivates children to play in the ensembles and to find out what leads people to found musical ensembles, what they expect their work to be like and what they would appreciate in their pedagogical experience.
Musical life in the Spa Town Teplice

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na hudební život lázeňských hostů v Teplicích. Přehledné zpracování historie počátku lázeňství v Podkrušnohoří až po současnost. Konkrétnější zaměření na nejvýznamnější hudební instituce a tělesa spojené s lázněmi v Teplicích. Poslední část je věnována významným osobnostem, které navštívily zmíněné lázně. K vytvoření práce byla použita literatura Bohumila Plevky, brožury Severočeské filharmonie Teplice a Konzervatoře Teplice, rozhovory s lidmi působícími v oblasti kultury v Teplicích a anonymní dotazníky s odpověďmi, které se týkaly hudebního života současných lázeňských hostů. Vyhodnocením dotazníků jsem došla k závěru, že lázeňští hosté vyhledávají mezi procedurami hudební akce, a tím pozvedají všeobecnou kulturnost populace, která jinak není v Teplicích příliš vysoká.
School for soprano fipple flute for elementary schools

This dissertation is concerned with the matter of teaching to play on soprano fipple flute the children at first degree of elementary school within the lessons of Music. In its theoretic part the dissertation gathers known pieces of information about this instrument, teaching, possibilities of learning and it introduces to compendium of the most used student books and publications teaching how to play the instrument. Practical part sets the target to describe and map this problems as one of possible methods of teaching process on the base of own experiment trying to create own publication of how to learn to play instrument.
Instruction on the Soprano Recorder for Pre-schoolers

The thesis leads into research of fipple flute teaching mode in preschool age. The specifics of preschool age period in the area of musical development of a child and his psychological dispositions for musical activities are shown in theoretical part. Chapters describe some external and methodical aspects of education leading. Practical part of the thesis presents some results of monitoring the fipple flute teaching, which have been observed in selected kindergartens. The main topic of the diploma thesis is comparison of selected interpretations of St. John's Passion by Johann Sebastian Bach. The part about life and work of Johann Sebastian Bach is followed by short analysis of libretto, choice of instruments and historic performances of St. John's Passion. The Final chapter deals with selected recordings of Bach's St. John's Passion - Karel Richter (1970), Nakolaus Harnoncourt (1985), Masaaki Suzuki (2000) and Raphaël Pichon (2013). The content of this Diploma Thesis is dedicated to the listening activities in Music lessons at primary schools. The Diploma Thesis summarizes the history of listening activities in Music lessons. It deals with the position of Musical education in Framework Educational Programme. The Diploma Thesis comprises the overview of all the most frequently used music textbooks for primary schools. The textbooks are sorted according to the publisher. The Diploma Thesis examines whether the music textbooks for primary schools include listening activities, which music pieces appear in the music textbooks, how the textbooks dispose with the music pieces and whether the textbooks provide enough amount of topics for a creative work with listening to music. The following part of the Diploma Thesis describes the general structure of a music lesson focused on listening to music. It deals with an integrative approach to teaching Music and curricular relationships. Milan Uherek Personality as the Founder of Children's Choir Severáček

The thesis focuses on introducing the personality of the choirmaster Milan Uherek, a founder of the Severáček children's choir. In the first chapters, it tries to capture the importance and specifics of children's choir singing in the pedagogical sphere (with respect to ethical, esthetical and hygienic aspects) and in the specialized, educational sphere. They show that the success of choir work and internal harmony of the choir are dependent on the choirmaster's personality. The following chapters therefore deal with the description of professional, character and organisational prerequisites that should be represented in the choirmaster's personality. Based on the identified general findings, the personality of Milan Uherek is introduced, his life story and lifelong artistic activity associated particularly with the foundation and leadership of the Severáček children's choir. The last chapters of the thesis try to capture both musical and non-musical principles on which Milan Uherek built the many-year successful activity and existence of his choir.
