LabVIEW graphs generation via DIAdem
Kučera, Karel ; Čala, Martin (referee) ; Kunz, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a program, which will create charts and safe using DIAdem. The program is divided into two parts, one in LabVIEW and the second as a script in VBS. The resulting solution can create and parameterize the graph purely from the LabVIEW environment without the need to run the script directly.
Gas Flow measurement
Majvald, František ; Kunz, Jan (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focussed on thermal flow meters. There are shortly described basic characteristics of flow and basic terms in flow measurement and its opportunities. The principles of operation of thermal flow meters and its implementation is described closely. With sensors developed by the company of IST AG called FS2 and FS7 was done series of measurements, like measurement of time responses, supply demands, and measurements in the view of determining of mathematical models of the sensors. Mathematical models were determined in a few different ways and its dependence on ambient temperature was found. Thanks to measurement were designed universal electric circuit controlled by microcontroller Arduino Mega 2560. Microcontroller keeps sensors in constant temperature difference mode. There were made trial measurements with designed electronics and the suppression of temperature was checked.
Thermal Flow measurement
Beneš, Jiří ; Kunz, Jan (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with verification of properties of termo anemometric sensor P1K0 / 50. The first part consists of a theoretical description of termo anemometric principles, their evaluation, parasitic influences on the sensors and an overview of the most important features of the sensor. The second part of the thesis deals with the design and implementation of the measuring track for measuring these properties. The result of this work is to verify the properties of the P1K0 / 50 sensor, to create its mathematical model and to determine the possible applicability of the sensor in laboratory teaching.
An Allan Variance Computation From Very Large Datasets
Kunz, Jan
This paper deals with calculating an Allan variance from a large datasets, which does not fit into a RAM memory. For this reason a parallel method is implemented in LabVIEW 2015 and tested on four different configurations of personal computer. An execution time was measured for a dataset of 2 754 448 000 samples. The time varies in dependence on calculated samples and the configuration of the computer. For the faster computers execution takes several minutes, whereas on the slower one the longest tested calculation of 100 samples per decade takes about two hours, which is still practical.
Field Instrument with HART Interface
Kunz, Jan
This paper describes design and development of of creating field instrument demonstration module. Module is capable of measuring multiple sensors such as thermocouples, RTD, or pressure sensor, analogue sensor simulation is also provided. Sensor’s side is isolated from output, which is composed of 4 - 20 mA current loop and HART interface. Current loop also provides power supply and module can communicate via HART also when alarm current (3,2 mA) is set. Basic safety features like open wire detection, over and undervoltage protection are also implemented.
Flow measurement
Pátek, Tomáš ; Kunz, Jan (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with thermal flowmeter design. In the theoretical part are briefly described flow types, general formulas of fluid mechanics and different flow measurements methods. Second practical part this bachelor thesis deals with design of thermoanemometric gas flow sensor with FS7 sensor by IST AG. Design is based on many measurementrs to get basic features of sensor IST FS7 like heater warming depending on flow, heat transfer in zero flow and basic characteristic. Based on measurements, it is designed mathematical model of sensor by two methods. So it is designed universal performing electronics, which can be used with IST FS7 or IST DFOOL sensors. It is based on development kit Texas Instrumens MSP-EXP430FR2311. Firmware and MATLAB script which processing measured data is included.
Measurement of MEMS gyroscope parameter changes
Raichl, Petr ; Beneš, Petr (referee) ; Kunz, Jan (advisor)
The thesis is aimed on determination of parameters of MEMS gyroscopes with Allan variance. In the introduction, there is principle of gyroscopes described. The first part describes deterministic and stochastic parameters. Methods for determining these parameters are also described. In the practical part, stochastic parameters of two gyroscopes are determined with Allan variance. In the next part, thesis describes determination of changes of stochastic parameters after vibrations and shocks.
Design of a complex automated system for aquarists
Hedvíček, Michal ; Kunz, Jan (referee) ; Uher, Miroslav (advisor)
Thesis deals with the theoretical design of an automatic control system for the aquarium and following simulation software environment Proteus ISIS. Due to simulation program can verify the behavior of the microprocessor in the specified functions, the correctness of electrical connections and errors in source code. The second part is analysis of commercial systems, their characteristics and applications. Apart from available commercial systems, there is a basic overview of commonly used peripherals in the aquarium, including their comparison and evaluation. Furthermore, the implementation of a complex system is done and the procedures and methods needed to set up the system are described. This topic also deals with cooling and reliability tests.
Methods for measuring frequency of vibration
Kunz, Jan ; Šedivá, Soňa (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis deals with methods for measuring frequency and phase and comparison their qualities. Thesis describes requirement for these methods and problems occuring during measurement. The part of the work is devoted various types of methods for measuring frequency and phase including a more detailed description of the counter method, weighted least square method and Fourier transform's method. The practical part of this thesis contains comparision of these three types of methods which was implemented to LabVIEW program from National Instruments company. Afterwards they were compared according to proposed methodology and tested on real signals.
