BAKALÁŘSKÉ PRÁCE V AJ Author: Michaela Klásková Supervisor: Mgr. Markéta Gerlichová, Ph. D. Opponent: Title of bachelors thesis: The effect of music therapy on patients with Parkinson's disease from the perspective of a physiotherapist Abstract: The thesis focuses on music therapy in persons suffering from Parkinson's disease from the perspective of a physiotherapist. The theoretical outcomes of search studies declare that Parkinson's disease is characterized by motor and non-motor symptoms which have a significant impact on the quality of patients' lives. Furthermore, this work provides us with the search of available literature sources from the area of music therapy, which is one of the methods affecting a range of symptoms of the disease and thus contributing to the improvement of patients' self-reliance and independence. The theoretical part also concentrates on the results of foreign studies carried out in the field of music therapy. In addition, it offers a list of options of the use of music therapy in persons with Parkinson's disease. As a result, we have become aware of the possibilities of music therapy and their utilization in persons' suffering from Parkinson's disease. Evaluation of therapy cognitive and motor functions with technical equipment
Arimiyawu, Lenka ; Gerlichová, Markéta (advisor) ; Janatová, Markéta (referee)
The thesis evaluates the effect of four-week home therapy using stabilometric platform Nintendo Wii Balance Board and tablet with integrated software HomeBalance in patients with brain injury. Software HomeBalance has been developed for the treatment of balance disorders and cognitive function. Manipulating the platform and the tablet may also develop grip and handling abilities of hand, both will be evaluated in this work as well. The theoretical part describes new trends in rehabilitation of cognitive-motor interference, dual-task therapy and therapy using technological equipments. Methods: A total of 9 subjects underwent four weeks of therapy using a therapeutic set HomeBalance. The control group of 12 subjects received therapy without any technological equipment. Patients participated in the initial examination, home therapy and final examination. As an evaluation of the therapy Mini-BESTest, Timed Up and Go test, Montreal cognitive assessment, 9- hole peg test, and also two games from HomeBalance software and questionnaire assessing satisfaction with therapy have been used. Results: After treatment the whole group improved in only two tests evaluated: in Mini- BESTest and the time of diagnostic scene in HomeBalance software. The research group had statistically better results in both tests...

The influence of music therapy on stability and reactibility of vertebrogenic patients as viewed by a physiotherapist Objectivisation by the posturography
Zajíčková, Jana ; Gerlichová, Markéta (advisor) ; Gueye, Tereza (referee)
The therapy of vertebral issues is nowadays (at the present time) an inherent part of the physiotherapist's work. The main aim of this study is to find out, if we are able to change stability and reactibility of patients with vertebral issues by using selected elements of musical therapy. As an ulterior aim I chose to evaluate respondent's subjective feelings about changes in their vertebral issues and to compare advantages and disadvantages of integrating musical therapy into therapeutical unit. In the theoretical part I am writing about musical therapy as a branch of science which is trying to find its place in our health care. I am also writing about postural motor skills, posturography as an objectiv evaluating method and about vertebral issues with its etiology. An important chapter in this theoretical part is about psychosomatics, which often causes back pain. For practical part of the theses I prepared 10 musical therapy sessions. Main aim of these sessions was to influent musculosceletal system, reactibility and stability of respondents. To evaluate objectively the results the posturography was used. Materials used to fulfill ulterior aims were taken by a questionnaire.
