Creation and Demonstration of Assets for VR Application
Zouhar, Marek ; Tóth, Michal (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the concept of virtual reality, its history, present-day possibilities and available devices and technologies for virtual reality and ways of creating assets such as models, textures and animations for virtual reality applications. The practical part of this work deals with design and creation of three-dimensional models, textures, animations and environment for use in interactive application in virtual reality and also with design and creation of such application to demonstrate their use.
VR Interactive Application
Novotný, Miroslav ; Tóth, Michal (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to learn about virtual reality and the aspects of the development for this platform. The next goal is to find well suited development environment for the application and test the capabilities and limits of them both. The thesis will be completed by designing, implementing and then testing the aplication using knowledge learnt.
Volumetric Efects Accelerated on GPU
Kubovčík, Tomáš ; Tóth, Michal (referee) ; Starka, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with simulation and rendering of fluid based volumetric effects, especially effect of fire and smoke. Computations are accelerated on graphics card using modern graphics API with motivation to achieve realistic visual results as well as physically correct calculations. Implemented volumetric effects are distributed as dynamic library which allows addition of these effects to existing applications.
3D Racing Game
Vlach, Jan ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Tóth, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on desing and implementation of 3D racing game with graphical effects. The goal of this thesis is to create a racing game with the help of particle emitors. For collision detection is used Bullet physics library. Because of it, all players react to other scene objects. Terrain is generated from height map and supports multitexturing technique, which allows for multiple textures to be applied to terrain's surface. Game's racing track is defined by collision map. In thesis, there is an emphasis on creating editor for easy map creation and editation. Editor allows for drawing Kochanek-Bartels splines, which are then used to determine the movement of the oponents.
Impacts of 2016 VAT cut on selected groceries in Slovakia
Tóth, Michal ; Štěpánek, Pavel (advisor) ; Hájek, Jan (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze the impact of the reduction of VAT on selected groceries in Slovakia in 2016. I am comparing the composition of the consumer basket and shopping lists of end-consumers before this legislative amendment and thereafter and consumer preferences, on which products they would like to have reduced VAT rate. Then I am also analysing the impact on the consumer prices of groceries with recured tax rate and on the groceries, which composition is similar, but they are encumbered with standard tax rate. The comparative analysis has shown that the tax reduction is reflected in the final price of approximately 96 %. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics and the system of value added tax, historical development in Slovak law and impacts of the tax rate cut abroad. Conclusion interprets the results of comparative analysis and questionnaire.
Rendering Performance Comparison in iOS and Metal
Pištělák, Radek ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Tóth, Michal (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is the comparison of the OpenGL ES and Metal graphical libraries on the iOS platform. To compare the performance of the two libraries, a particle system has been implemented. By profiling it has been determined that using instanced rendering it is currently possible to achieve higher performance using OpenGL ES. Based on the results and the theoretical part of the thesis it is possible to make a more informed decision between the two graphical libraries.
Artistic Scene Visualization
Benda, Jan ; Tóth, Michal (referee) ; Kobrtek, Jozef (advisor)
The goal of this work is studying of selected artistic scene visualization (cell shading, pencil sketch shading) and simulate these techniques in the rendering of objects in 3D space using OpenGL. Applications of these methods is wide - from graphical application, through computer games to animated films. This work describes design and implementation of these methods: cell shading, pencil sketch shading and watercolor shading.
Procedural Architecture
Roreček, Pavel ; Tóth, Michal (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
This Bachelor's thesis describes implementation of library used for procedural generating of architecture. The thesis describes way of handling input files containing rules and symbols. Generated model is shown using visual application that uses OpenGL library and the model can be exported.
WebGL Engine Exploitation for Rendering of Automobiles
Macků, Jiří ; Kobrtek, Jozef (referee) ; Tóth, Michal (advisor)
This paper deals with rendering of automobiles with use of WebGL technology. Aim of this paper is proposal and implementation of method for realistic and stylized rendering of 3D models of automobiles for internal use as a simple preview of automobile in development and presentation or for use in infotainment systems directly in automobiles. Part of this paper is implementation and outline of reachable options and properties of such implementation. This paper is created in cooperation with company SKODA AUTO a.s.
Light Propagation Volumes
Růžička, Tomáš ; Tóth, Michal (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of master thesis is to describe different calculation of global illumination methods including Light Propagation Volumes. All three steps of LPV calculation are widely described: injection, propagation and rendering. It is also proposed several custom extensions improving graphics quality of this method. Two parts of design and implementation are focused on scene description, rendering system, shadow rendering, implementation of LPV method and proposed extensions. As conclusion, measurement and several images of application are presented, followed by comparison in environment with diffenent parameters, thesis summary with evaluation of achieved results and suggestions of further improvements.
