Feasibility study of the small hydropower station
Patočka, Filip ; Neumayer,, Oldřich (referee) ; Dráb, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of the present master’s thesis is to explore the feasibility of small hydropower plant for cur-rent hydro energetic potential of the weir on Ohře river, located in the city of Terezín in Ústecký re-gion, Czech Republic. The target of the thesis itself was to design minimally two variants of constructional and technological part. Due to requirements related to maintaining of all functions of the weir construction was decided to design small hydropower plant completely under the water surface, with flap mounted to the roof of the hydropower plant. Part of the thesis was also an economical assessment of designed hydropower project.
Design of linear hydrotechnics structures using a digital terrain model
Libosvár, Marek ; Duchan, David (referee) ; Dráb, Aleš (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis focuses on the possibility of using the program AutoCAD Civil 3D to create a digital terrain model of interest locations. Then subsequently the design of linear hydraulic structures which serve as flood protection, as well as anti-noise barriers, retaining walls or for example various modifications of water.
2D numerical modelling of shallow water flow in floodplains
Monhartová, Pavlína ; Sýkora, Lukáš (referee) ; Dráb, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is hydraulic computation of shallow water flow in floodplains with using 2D numerical modelling. Processing river is Dyje in the south of Moravia in location Břeclav. For model creation is necessary to know the software, accumulate input data and prepare model input parameters. Output data are process to form of maps water depths and maps water flow velocities.
Feasibility study of the flood protection measures in the localities of Komín and Kníničky at the Svratka river
Šťastová, Barbora ; Golík,, Pavel (referee) ; Dráb, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of master‘s thesis is to assess the current state of the degree of flood protection on the basis of hydraulic calculations for different flood scenarios that correspond to the maximum culmination discharges Q1, Q5, Q20, Q100, Q100 unaffected in areas Komin and Kníničky on the Svratka at km 45.477 to 47.810. Hydraulic calculations were carried out using the coupled 1D and 2D numerical model. The outputs have been processed in the form of maps of depths and speed floodings.
Study of flood protection measures
Fiurášek, Marek ; Duchan, David (referee) ; Dráb, Aleš (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the assessment of the current and proposed state of flood protection on the left bank of the Moravia between the towns of Kroměříž and Hulín. Hydraulic calculations were performed using a 2D numerical model for peak flow Q100. The goal of the calculations was primarily the assessment of variant designs of inundation bridges, which form an essential part of the proposed anti-flood measures in the area of interest. The work also includes a comparison of different ways of entering the input parameters of the used 2D numerical models. The outputs are processed in the form of drawing documentation, map attachments and photo documentation.
Extreme hydrological events in the context of urban planning
Klimeš, Zdeněk ; Dráb, Aleš (referee) ; Duchan, David (advisor)
The purpose of the bachelor thesis was to describe known extreme hydrological events and potential attitudes to minimalize their negative impacts. The thesis was written as literature recherche from different points of view, not only from a one-sided technical or ecological point. It proceeds systematically from describing the historical evolution of the subject matter through the presentation of global ecological problems, outlining the legislative background and the findings from specialised literature, to the examples of current trends. In view of the fact that the issue is so broad, the thesis treats only certain parts in detail. The subject of interest is the demonstration of separate measures against floods and droughts and the effects of their synergy concerning the minimalization of the repercussions of extreme hydrological events.
Classification of measures for cultural heritage flood protection
Hanzlíková, Zuzana ; Kozubík, Jiří (referee) ; Dráb, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor work deals with classification of flood protection measures for protection of cultural monuments. First, there is a defin of possible danger of floods and some characteristic of progress of floods. After that, there is solved some impact of floods to cultural monuments and classification of vulnerability to several categories. Next part of this work is classification of methods of protection of cultural monuments against flood danger according to selected criteria. Last part is dedicated to three chosen particular localities in the area of the Czech Republic, where were made some anti-flooding arrangements of cultural monuments. Afterwards, there is made some description of an area of interest and there is also a technical description of implemented anti-flooding protection.
Risk flood analysis
Jauernig, Jan ; Dráb, Aleš (referee) ; Duchan, David (advisor)
This thesis deals with the processing maps of flood hazards, threats and risks based on available data in accordance with Directive 2007/60/EC and the methodology of the Ministry of Environment 2011 on the selected flow Říčka at kilometer 9,753 to 14,165.
Study of flood protection measures in the Kroměříž locality
Skokan, Jiří ; Golík, Pavel (referee) ; Dráb, Aleš (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design and hydraulic assessment of a dry retention reser-voir on the Kotojedka (IDVT 10202906) and Vážanský potok (IDVT 10189772) streams in Kroměříž. The basic designs of the dam parameters and the associated dry retention re-servoir flow control structure were carried out using hydraulic analytical calculations. A 1D hydrodynamic model was built by the author in the HEC-RAS software to assess the flow through this object. In the 1D analysis, some uncertainties could not be resolved, such as the formation and evolution of the hydraulic jump, the effect of the safety spillway and bottom outlet submergence, the capacity of the bottom outlet, the capacity of the apron and the water surface elevation in the apron. It can be assumed that, due to the lower significance of the proposed reservoir, it will not be subjected to research on the phy-sical model. Therefore, a hydraulic analysis with 3D numerical software comes into conside-ration, which in this case can provide results for the hydraulic design or optimisation of the desig-ned object parameters. Using the Flow - 3D hydrodynamic model, hydraulic calculations of water flow through the flow control object were performed. The results were compared with the values determined by the 1D model and analytical calculations. The results were compared in the selected profiles of the dry retention reservoir’s flow control object and the transformation effect of the reservoir.
Design of reservoir of hydroelectric power plants
Kadrnoška, Jakub ; Dráb, Aleš (referee) ; Duchan, David (advisor)
The thesis presents a design of an upper reservoir for a pumped-storage hydropower plant near the city of Ústí nad Labem. Topics concerned in the thesis include primarily the shape of the designed reservoir and its placement into the original landscape. The dam was designed as an embankment. Dam making as much use as possible of local soil. Based on the search of the available upper reservoirs, the design of a suitable sealing of the dam and the inlet of the penstock was made. After the design, an estimate of the volume of water in the tank and also of the cubes of excavations and embankments was made. The design was made in Civil 3D.
