Translation of ASP into ASP.NET
Vilímek, Jan ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this dissertation is to implement an application for ASP to ASPX conversion. The ASP pages should be written in the VBScript language, the target language for ASPX will be C#. The application is developed on the .NET platform. The conversion process should be automatic. There should be no need to alter the converted files by a programmer. The first part of this dissertation introduces the whole problematic. It shows also current solutions. The next part is the analysis and the design of the application itself. The main part of this dissertation is the VBScript grammar conversion, problems while conversion and its solving.
Application for Alignment of DNA Parts
Kašpárek, Tomáš ; Žák, Jakub (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with DNA sequences alignment methods with focus on execution speed of given task and its optimality. The outcome of this thesis results in multiple programs, which presents DNA alignment algorithms and their versions programmed with OpenCL libraries, which are optimized on calculation rate. Text of this thesis apprises reader with DNA alignment problematic and its importance in biology. Further, algorithms for DNA alignment and options of their speed-up using libraries like CUDA or OpenCL are presented.
Comparison of Systems for Monitoring of Computer Networks
Vozdecký, Lukáš ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (referee) ; Čejka, Rudolf (advisor)
This thesis is comparison of three open--source Linux/Unix network monitoring applications Nagios, Zabbix, Big Sister. Every application is described according to its basic fundamentals. The comparison is done through managing series of tests based on real environment experience. Solution to these problems and specific procedure differencies are described for each application.
Design of Distributed Filesystem
Ďulík, Jan ; Michal, Bohumil (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
Main goal of this work is to design and implement distributed file system for storing data of project. There can be more geographical separated work groups involved in the project. Big deal is done with analysing the situations, which can occur while using the distributed file system. The work is concerned with choosing suitable data replication politic while considering miscellaneous work models and drain. The last part describes implementation of distributed file system for Linux operating system with use of FUSE and rsync.
RedirFS - Application on Data Encryption
Zůna, Pavel ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on design and implementation of a cryptographic filter for the Redirecting Filesystem Framework (RedirFS for short) in the form of a Linux kernel module. It starts by giving the reader a general overview of modern cryptography and encryption. Before diving into the filter specifics, it takes a tour of the most important features of RedirFS. When done with introductory chapters, it describes the design choices made considering their benefits and limitations. The final chapter is completely devoted to cipherflt: a proof of concept implementation of the cryptographic filter.
Porting Netflow/Combo6 Probe from Linux to FreeBSD
Grešša, Pavol ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (referee) ; Čejka, Rudolf (advisor)
The thesis deals with the problem of developing device drivers for FreeBSD operation system and explains particular steps necessary for their implementation. Furthermore, it describes modularity of drivers and basic technologies used in this operation system. Its purpose is to create a device driver for the principal card Combo6x of the Liberouter project. The output of the thesis should be a complete device driver supporting DMA transfers ant interrupts.
Wherigo Client for webOS Platform
Jelen, Jakub ; Kubíček, Radek (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
In my thesis I focus on the design of hybrid application for webOS platform and on study and understanding of structure of the Wherigo system from programmer's point of view. I deal with compatibility problems between webOS devices. Another issue is an insufficiency of documentation available for the Wherigo library. The result is fully functional and tested application for Wherigo that meets the requirements and is available in the webOS App Catalog.
System for Virtual Server Administration
Karban, David ; Čejka, Rudolf (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
There is coming trend of virtualization on modern computers. One computer may act like host for several guest virtualized computers. This has many advantages, like for kernel development, software testing, virus behaviour testing, saving HW resources. On the other hand, complexity of computer maintenance is growing too. This bachelor thesis describes a system, that can be used for management of many virtual servers and lower the manageability overhead. This work will create a generic control interface for virtualized computers. Interface will be adaptable and extendible. The development of this system is described from specification through analysis to concept and implementation of application.
Unix Tools for Application and System Profiling
Dressler, David ; Chalupníček, Kamil (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis was to demonstrate usage of tools for application and system profiling. Initially, these tools was found and studied. They was also divided into categories according to their purpose. After that, these tools was compared according to their complexity of use and invasiveness. As the result of this comparison, these tools was divided into three groups, that express measure of complexity and invasiveness. As technology, used for creating models, was chosen Apache server and NFS server. Virtualization by hyper-v technology was used for putting these models into operation. There was created four virtual machines. Fist one for Apache server, another one for NFS server. Third was for mirroring content of Apache server and the last one for load generation. The last part of this thesis was to demonstrate usage of found tools on the created models.
IPv6 Hosts Monitoring
Rapavý, Martin ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (referee) ; Lampa, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is dedicated to network layer protocol IPv6, purposes of its creation and penetration. Former chapters briefly describe IPv6 protocol format and protocols, methods and technologies related to IPv6. The thesis summarizes security risks and flaws in IPv6 and ICMPv6 protocols. In context of the risks and flaws the thesis describes several of local ICMP attacks. It also mentions security incidents resulting from exploiting those security flaws and means of countermeasures. One of the used countermeasures is passive monitoring of ICMP messages. Thesis contains brief description of tool used to achieve this - NDPMon with its advantages, disadvantages and concepts of usage. Rest of the thesis describes design and implementation of monitoring tool similar to NDPMon, but with some improvements.
