Economic boom and fall of Baltic countries in 21. century

The focus of my work is to analyze the economic trend and development of the so-called "Baltic Tigers", from the beginning of the 21st century up to the present time. Here belongs the states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. I'd like to concentrate on their mutual economic boom in detail, due to which they became an example for other successful transit economics, and also I'd like to depict the main cause of their GDP slump in the last period, which is related to the inception of the financial crisis. I'll be describing the situation in Latvia in particular, their unfavorable economic condition and future outlook. My paper holds forth on certain issues, such as reasons of the overheated economy, emigration, GDP negative accrual, short-term debts participation, increasing unemployment and social disturbance. In the closing part I'll try to outline possible economic forecast and solution of the actual matters.

Legal aspects of usage of Renewable Energy Sources

This Bachelor Degree Final Paper is supposed to provide the reader with complex overview of specific legal regulation of use of renewable energy sources. The main focus is set on Czech legal provision. However basic description of law of the European Union in the respective field, as a corner-stone for the one of the Czech Republic, is also contained. Additionally former provision that regulated usage of RES before admission of the Czech Republic into the EU is included. The very last chapter of the paper offers brief study of most recent European directive concerning the respective field.

MONETARY STRATEGY EVOLUTION OF ČNB FROM 1993

The given topic I have chosen is for the reason the CNB form its' existence in 1993 has gone through a lot of changes and as the central bank of the Republic, has with its' monetary policies strongly influenced the economy of our country. In the theoretical part of my bachelor's work I have described the common characteristics of the central bank, the reasons and the functions. I have characterized the implementations, functions and the objectives of the central bank. In the next step I will introduce the functions and the influence of central banking and will compare the opinions of various economic schools on the standing of the bank in the economy. Following this I will describe the historical evolution of the central bank and the overall banking systems of our country. The analytical section will be dedicated to the classification and analysis of the monetary strategy of the CNB from its' beginning up to the present day with particular emphasis the individual periods which have recorded the greatest changes in central banking. The largest part of this section is dedicated to in depth explanation o the monetary policies of the CNB. This is followed by my description of the monetary policy after entering the European Union and how it is related to the case of admittance to the European Monetary Union. Primary objectives of this bachelor work is the analysis of the evolution and interpretation of the most considerable changes in central banking and especially monetary policy of Czech National Bank from beginning of her existence.

Verification of the Functionality of a Technical Analysis

The work presents techncical analysis and some of its tools. The purpose of the work is to test if the chosen technical analysis tools work during intraday stocktrading in the USA. In that intention the sample of five american companies was selected and monitored for five business days. Each company's price development was analyzed on a day to day basis on grounds of chosen technical analysis tools. The intention was to find the exact moments when all of the indicators signaled the clear future price trend. The conclusions suggest that the technical analysis is not the responsible tool for intraday stocktrading.

Public finances in CR and its context with Europen fiscal criterions

The study tries to analyze structural problems in the development of public finances in the Czech Republic in connection of mentioned Maastricht criteria, mainly Maastricht fiscal criteria. It focuses on the main planned goals in the Czech Republic from November 2007. These goals are compared to the results of the last research of structural problems in the Czech public finances presented by Working paper series: Czech Fiscal policy: Introductory analysis from 2003. The aim is tu judge the reality of the calculated goals presented by the updated Convergence programme of the Czech Republic from November 2007.

Měnová politika, opatření a nástroje Federálního rezervního systému v době Velké deprese

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na období Velké deprese v USA v letech 1929 - 1933, příčiny jejího vzniku, průběh a měnovou politiku Federálního rezervního systému (FED) v tomto období. První část práce se orientuje na stručnou všeobecnou historii, podstatu a důvod vzniku Federálního rezervního systému (FED), jakožto centrální banky USA. Záměrem práce v druhé části je stručně charakterizovat období před před Velkou hospodářkou krizí, zejména sociální vývoj, politické klima a hospodářské pozadí ve Spojených státech. Dále se práce snaží nastínit postupy FEDu v oblasti měnové politiky a jeho chování ve dvacátých letech, především jeho politiku ?levných peněz?. Poslední, třetí a závěrečná část se zaobírá myšlenkami, názory a pohledy předních světových ekonomů a jejich hodnoceními na podmínky, příčiny a důvody vzniku hospodářské a finanční deprese v USA v letech 1929-1933.

ERM II systém na Slovensku

Tato bakalářská práce má za úkol vysvětlil problematiku týkající se ?Mechanismus směnných kurzů neboli ERM II?, který je jedním z maastrichtských kritérií. V teoretické části popisuji jednotlivé historické kroky, které vedly k vytvoření ERM II a jeho roli v konvergenčních kritériích. V praktické části zkoumám makroekonomické ukazatele Slovenska jak před vstupem, tak po vstupu do ERM II. Jedním z cílu této práce bylo zjistit zdali ERM II má nějaký vliv na ekonomiku Slovenské republiky, proto analyzuji především dobu po vstupu do ERM II. Praktická část práce týkající se Slovenska končí současným stavem ekonomiky a nálady mezi občany na Slovensku. Na závěr stručně hodnotím Českou republiku a porovnávám se Slovenskou.

Monetary policy in Eurozone

The main subject of bachelor essay is monetary policy in Eurozone. First part is dealing with explanation of terms related to Eurozone and European Central Bank (ECB), it is also about their development and history. The second part is a length description of instruments of monetary policy of ECB and characterization of their main targets. Next part analyses influence of instruments used by ECB during particular years in Eurozone countries and related advancement in ECB's decision making. The end of chapter is dealing with development of indebtedness of countries, which are situated in Eurozone. Ending of essay is devoted to solutions to Czech republic's Euro currency adoption questions, this part contains description of important macroeconomic indicators, showing image of actual position of Czech republic's economy. Situation in Czech Republic is compared to other member states, which are situated outside the Eurozone.

Vplyv daňovej konkurencie na hospodársky rast v Európskej únií

Témou tejto práce je analýza vplyvu daňovej konkurencie na hospodársky rast v rámci Európskej únie. V úvode stručne charakterizujeme zdanenie a faktory ovplyvňujúce fungovanie daňových systémov, ukážeme vplyv rôznych daní na motivácie a ekonomickú výkonnosť. Ďalej charakterizujeme daňovú konkurenciu ako analógiu k trhovej konkurencií a podrobne rozoberáme jednotlivé argumenty v prospech a neprospech daňovej konkurencie. Snažíme sa predstaviť etapizovanú históriu daňových reforiem, najväčšiu pozornosť venujeme súčasným a nedávnym tendenciám daňových reforiem v strednej a východnej Európe ako forme konkurencie medzi jednotlivými štátmi Európskej únie. Následné empirickými dátami overujeme relevantnosť argumentov diskusie daňová konkurencia verzus daňová harmonizácia. A v závere ukazujeme závislosť hospodárskeho rastu od zdanenia a vývoj tohto trendu v čase.

Public - Private Partnership and Sport Infrastructure

My thesis is divided into two parts -- theoretical and practical. In first part I will show advantages and disadvantages which results from partnership of private and public sector. I mention also legislative restrictions which are associated with this type of business. Then I focus on spheres which are most common for PPP. Finnaly I will describe PPP from the view of political and economic condition in the country. In second part my main aim will be to discover if Brno has enough sport infrastructure buildings and find out some recommendations from PPP projects from other countries for project Ponava. For this I will use analysis of demand and supply of sport facilities in Brno and analysis of functional projects from other countries.
