Autonomous Race Car Control System
Knop, Petr ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This master's thesis describes the hardware and software implementation of autonomous control system for RC toy car. This autonomous car had the task to follow a black line drawn on a white background. Car was enriched with wi-fi for data transfer to computers and the black line is detected by the camera. The main control module was implemented using a single board computer Raspberry Pi.
Genetic Programming for Design of Digital Circuits
Hejtmánek, Michal ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Gajda, Zbyšek (advisor)
The goal of this work was the study of evolutionary algorithms and utilization of them for digital circuit design. Especially, a genetic programming and its different manipulation with building blocks is mentioned in contrast to a genetic algorithm. On the basis of this approach, I created and tested a hybrid method of electronic circuit design. This method uses spread schemes according to the genetic algorithm for the pattern problems witch are solved by the genetic programming. The method is more successful and have faster convergence to a solution in difficult electronic circuits design than a common algorithm of the genetic programming.
Applied Artificial Immune Systems
Dolejší, Petr ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Schwarz, Josef (advisor)
This final year thesis introduces the principles and properties of the artificial immune systems to the reader, then abstracts the principles from this knowledge and applies the real artificial immune systems on them. It provides a view at the practical applications that use and extend given ideas.
Traffic Connection Searching in Transport Schedules
Žižka, Ondřej ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
Everyday need of modern society is a mass personal transit on a regular basis. For this purpose, mass transit systems exist which obey aforethought schedule. This thesis' goal is to examine the means of automatic search of connections from one place to another, implement such search, and to advance the search algorithm using the soft-computing paradigms. Minor goal would be a research of SQL language procedural capabilities, which could support mass pseudo-parallel computations.
Combustion Engine Pocket PC Diagnostic Terminal
Kubiš, Ján ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Růžička, Richard (advisor)
My bachelor work, in which am had create programmatic system working under operating system Windows CE 2003 with under-used to be revenue and data processing, which sending control unit of engine Tatra T613/4i. Programme work with receive single table, which kontrol unit sending. Quantity single table is possible represent in practice textual or numeral data. System also can represent error report, which kontrol unit can sending.
Cellular Automaton in Evolutionary Process
Hejč, Michal ; Herrman, Tomáš (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this master's theses it to focuse on the usage of genetic algorithms in combination with a technique of biologically inspired development in cellular automata. The principles of the proposed method is described. The main part of this work deals with the design of combinational logic circuits. The genetic algorithm is utilized to design a nonuniform one-dimensional cellular automaton (in particular, the local transition functions) which serves as a circuit generator. Experiments have been conducted to design of basic types of combinational circuits and polymorphic circuits. Finally, the results are presented and compared with the results obtained in the previous work in which a uniform cellular automaton was applied.
Evolution of Complex Behavior in Cellular Automata
Kontra, Matúš ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
Celular automata are one of many alternative models of computation. Massive parallelism and the posibillity to describe their local behaviour in a simple way are of particular interest. This thesis describes a different way of representing the local transfer function of cellular automata, which is particulary suitable for use in genetic algorithm. This representation is based on simple model, mirroring the way instruction based register machines operate. The aim of this publication is to analyze and assess applicability of proposed method.
Identification and Decoding of Wireless Communication Using SDR
Matulka, Filip ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create the system that uses concept of software defined radio. This system is capable of automatically identifying the communication parameteres and subsequent decoding of wireless communication. The thesis focus on the wireless system operationg in unlicened frequency band and cosidering fundamental modulation metods. The result is tested on two independent wireless systems that verify ability to automatically identify the communication parameters.
Modified Genetic Algorithms for Cellular Automata Design
Magdolen, Matej ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis aims to examine possibilities of designing a transition function enabling a cellular automaton to solve a given problem using a genetic algorithm. It contains an introduction to cellular automata, evolution algorithms and conditionally matching rules, a method of descripting a transition function suitable for evolutionary development. A set of experiments is conducted using the standard version of genetic algorithms to determine its optimal configuration. Additionally, modifications of this standard algorithm are proposed, effect of which on the algorithm’s performance is then evaluated by further experiments.
System for Programming Minerva Platform
Dohnal, Michal ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
Theoretical part of this thesis studies several concepts and interfaces being used for programming microcontrollers (MCUs) and reconfiguration of field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) with closer look at those, which are available for MCU Kinetis K60 and FPGA Spartan-6 in circuitry given by the architecture of educational kit Minerva. This knowledge is employed in practical section which describes deployment of the supporting firmware belonging to group of firmwares so-called bootloaders. Finally the application QDevKit3 is introduced, that is based on this firmware, representing effective and fast way for easy programming of FLASH memory on Kinetis MCU using USB interface.
