Reading Beads - a Project to Support Prereading Literacy of Preschool and Early Primary School Children
Skálová, Kristýna ; Hník, Ondřej (advisor) ; Zimová, Lucie (referee)
The bachelor thesis is dedicated to promotion of pre-reading literacy. This thesis describes current projects focused on development ofreading and pre-reading literacy. The thesis highlights the importance and impact of family and nursery school on development of pre- reading literacy and presents various ways of working with literature, as well as listeners' preferences of preschool children. The didactic part of this thesis refers to "Beads of reading" project, which supports both pre-school and young school-age children pre-reading and reading literacy. KEYWORDS Pre-school literary education, pre-reading literacy, preschool children, young school-age children, cooperation of school and family, project supporting reading, work with a book.
Work with immigrant children in teaching Czech in primary school
Bryndová, Adéla ; Horáčková, Klára (advisor) ; Zimová, Lucie (referee)
This thesis is focused on an education of students with different mother language (OMJ) at the first degree of primary school. It's consist of two parts. The terms specified in the theoretical part are related to student OMJ, influence of foreigners in Czech republic. This part is also focused on educating student with OMJ at Czech primary schools. The practical part of thesis describes research which was implemented in various schools. Qualitative part of this research was made on sample of five students with different mother language, who each visits different primary school. The goal of the whole research was the obtain data about education of students and also the way the teachers works with their language goals of teaching. KEYWORDS Pupil with a different mother language, migration, education, czech as a foreign language, inclusion, integration, observation, casuistry
The role of charged residues in the activation and modulation of the TRPA1 ion channel
Zímová, Lucie ; Vlachová, Viktorie (advisor) ; Doležal, Vladimír (referee) ; Rokyta, Richard (referee)
Important receptor for sensing painful stimuli is ion channel TRPA1, which is expressed in peripheral endings of nociceptive neurons, where it serves as transducer of physical and chemical environmental signals to the language of the nervous system. The effort to understand the mechanisms of its activity on a molecular level is driven by the vision of progress in treatment of chronic pain in humans. Our work focused on C-terminal cytoplasmic domain of TRPA1 receptor, where we described i.a. the probable binding site for calcium, which is the most important TRPA1 modulator. Using the combination of homology modeling and molecular dynamic simulations with electrophysiological measurements we were able to explain molecular basis of familial pain syndrome caused by TRPA1 point mutation. We contributed to the understanding of the TRPA1 voltage-dependent activation mechanism by describing the amino acids in proximal C-terminus and in S4-S5 linker of transmembrane domain that are directly involved in voltage-dependent gating. Project of the optional seminar for grammar schools focused on extending the theoretical knowledge and the interpretation skills of poetry based on the production of Czech poets publishing after 1989
Roldánová, Šárka ; Hník, Ondřej (advisor) ; Zimová, Lucie (referee)
The objective of the thesis is to enhance the role of poetry within the literacy education at grammar schools, which has been on the edge of teacher's and student's interest since a while. Following the existing binding rules of education the thesis is made to build up a positive attitude to poetry in students and targets to improve their knowledge and personal approach to this part of literature. While being focused on that its content struggles to extend their theoretical skills of literary interpretation as well as practical ones. Last but not least the thesis would like to avoid the stereotypes teachers keep about poetry and its application at school.
The role of TLR-4 receptors for modulation of nociceptive signalling.
Slepička, Jakub ; Paleček, Jiří (advisor) ; Zímová, Lucie (referee)
The ability to feel pain is subjective, but a crucial factor allowing us to maintain life with minimal body impairment. However, if the pain crosses the physiological signalling function it becomes a life restrictive symptom that is often difficult to treat. Development of pain and its change into pathological chronic symptom and the role of different molecular and cellular mechanisms in this process are best to be studied during its development, nociception. In this work the basic characteristics of nociceptive signalling, with focus on neuropathy, a state originating from nervous system damage is given. The exact mechanisms of neuropathic pain development are not known, which is one of the reasons why these painful states are difficult to treat. Neuroinflammation was lately shown to play an important part in the neuropathy development. In this context a review of Toll-like receptors is given. These receptors have a fundamental role in the innate immunity and their role in the nervous system was documented recently. In this review a focus is given on TLR-4 subtype that was shown to be involved in a modulation of nociceptive signalling. The basic features of this receptor and information about its involvement in neuropathic pain development are given. Studying the role of TLR-4 in different models...
Relationship between the parents of pre-scholars to the children book
Zelinská, Barbora ; Hník, Ondřej (advisor) ; Zimová, Lucie (referee)
This thesis deals with pre-reading literacy and focuses on the factors and actors that it develops. The first chapter deals with the theoretical definition and importance of education to the reading. The second chapter outlines the literary form of preschool education and how the literary education is included in the general educational program for preschool education. The third chapter is devoted to the primary and most important factor that the development of a child's reading act, and that is the family. It shows the possibilities of how children can relate to the books in the family to support the role of the relationship of their parents to read and stresses the importance of reading and storytelling in the family circle. The following chapter deals with the cooperation of nursery school and family in the development of a child's reading, closer is about the influence of teacher's personality and it offers opportunities to work with the book in full day kindergarten regime. The last two chapters of the theoretical part characterizes the specifics of children's literature and provide an overview of the typology of literature for preschool children. The research part describes the process of investigation, which is aimed at determining the important criteria in the selection of children's books....
