Differentiation within yeast populations of Saccharomyces cerevisiae: influence of cultivation conditions

Long-time research of chronologically aging yeast populations of Saccharomyces cerevisiae laboratory strains revealed that yeasts are able to differentiate into specialized cell types. Differentiation of liquid cultures growing in glucose rich medium and differentiation of colonies growing on solid glycerol medium has been previously studied. These populations create two fractions of cells with diverse morphology which adapt their metabolism and physiology to enable a long-term survival of the yeast population in environment with limited nutritional potential. In this study, yeast subpopulations isolated from colonies growing on solid glucose medium and liquid cultures cultivated in glycerol medium were characterized. Newly isolated cell types were compared with already known cell types isolated from colonies and liquid cultures. Selected metabolic processes and stress resistance were analysed in studied populations. Based on previous studies of yeast differentiation, a spectrum of GFP-labelled marker proteins was choosen and production and localization of these marker proteins was monitored within yeast populations. Criminality in the Říčany District in the Second Half of the 17th Century

Výzkum dějin kriminality, resp. hrdelního soudnictví, je v českých zemích neodmyslitelně spjat se jmény Jaroslava Pánka a Evy Procházkové, jejichž systematická a intenzivní činnost na tomto poli začala v první polovině 70. let a trvala přibližně dvě desetiletí. Ačkoliv - až na jednu výjimku - pracovali a publikovali tito badatelé samostatně, jejich výzkumy jsou úzce provázány nejen regionálním vymezením (jižní část dnešního středočeského kraje) a časovým záběrem sahajícím od konce 15. století přibližně do poloviny 18. století, ale i metodickými východisky. Jejich studie jsou totiž výrazným zlomem v do té doby obvyklém právněhistorickém pohledu na hrdelního soudnictví a prvním pokusem v české historiografii ukázat tuto problematiku jako součást sociálních dějin a dějin mentalit. Trvalou hodnotu si tyto práce uchovávají díky připojeným regestům pramenů, z nichž vycházejí a zcela mimořádný je jejich význam coby příspěvků к dějinám správy a raně novověké diplomatiky. The bachelor´s thesis deals with the analysis of contemporary motivation system at the company MONING BRNO, s.r.o. It contains proposals to improve the incentive system of the company to improve its corporate culture, motivation and job satisfaction of employees. Furthermore, it contains of recommendations for improvement of interpersonal relationships in the workplace so that employees work in the most efficient way, so the company could develop in the near future.

Usage of Attendance and Access control system in company

The thesis deals with the problems of attendance and access systems and their importance in the company. The main aim is to clarify the present topic both to IT consultants and the public in an attempt to show the role of its own system, its implementation and operation in corporate practice. The work is divided into two main parts. The first part describes the historical development of monitoring attendance both from the point of view of the paper version and its successive software solution, as well as in respect of the hardware. Next, we give the legislative requirements and restrictions for monitoring and recording of the attendance of employees, the main source being the Labour Code itself and the Office for Personal Data Protection. After that, updated current attendance and access systems are introduced. The second part contains the actual procedure of selection and deployment of a particular attendance system, its configuration and operation. The process is described in detail in the thesis supplement. Emphasis is placed above all on clarity and easy understanding of the present topic, its impacts and benefit of its use. The main contribution of this work is the unification of views on the present subject matter, a comprehensive view of the system and its important role as an independent system co-operating with other software and hardware resources in the company.

The evaluation of an impact of subsidies on a prosperity and calculations of agricultural companies in the czech republic

The principal aim of this thesis is to investigate the possible impacts of governmental interventions on the agricultural sector in the Czech Republic in order to propose possible deductions and identify possible gaps. Focus will be placed on the research results of a selected group of companies. Firstly, the most significant subsidies are outlined along with a brief overview of their acquisition. This is followed by an analysis of ratios and correlation coefficients of accounting information obtained from concrete agricultural companies in order to pinpoint possible connections with the aforementioned subsidies and their consequential governmental impact. Thesis also summarizes discussion between economists and offers its own logical deductions and explicates results of the analysis dealing with questionable topics.

Usage of Microsoft SharePoint in small and medium business

This thesis focuses on the possible usage of Microsoft SharePoint in small and medium size companies. The main objective is to introduce a system that came brand new in 2010 and is called the Microsoft SharePoint Foundation and is precisely designed for the given segment of market. The thesis describes the technology with regards to the division of the market, current financial expenses for the company and procedures for obtaining the software. It also contains necessary hardware and software requirements to ensure performance and stability in relation to business processes. Following is the description of a fictitious company in which the system is introduced virtually from the basic product installation, division of the costs needed for training employees to post functionalities suitable for use in a given environment. I find the added value in the practical experience collected during my work on this project. In particular, during installation, set up of rights, simple integration with Active Directory, SQL, and the pre-defined business processes.
