The category of competence and its interpretation by teachers in practice
Kargerová, Jana ; Doležalová, Jana (referee) ; Lukavská, Eva (referee)
This dissertation deals with issues related to the realization of the concept of key competencies as educational goals which are being brought about by curricular reform. The theoretical component is aimed at researching the way key competencies are treated in the relevant literature and in European and Czech curricular documents. This section deals with the conception and implementation of key competencies in national educational programs in the EU countries. Various procedures in these countries are compared and evaluated in relation to curricular reforms in the Czech Republic and in conjunction with the interpretation of key competencies in the Framework Educational Program for Basic Education. The research component of the dissertation focuses on mapping out the understanding of key competencies on the part of the ‚main players' of curricular reform (teachers, teacher trainers, school inspectors) whose responsibility it is to bring this new concept into pedagogical practice.

Category of competence and its understanding by practicing teachers
Hydrogen peroxide and the abiotic formation of chlorinated organic compounds in forest soil

Equestrian tourism is the perfect combination of time spent healthily, outdoor activities, environmental protection and creating friendships with animals. Recently, this interesting activity is becoming popular. It contains a movement component and experiences of natural, cultural and historical attractions which are typical for different regions. It has many options so it allows the development of tourism. Equestrian tourism belongs to a 'soft form' of country tourism in green tourism. The main areas of interest in this part are horse trails and riding stations. Marking of horse trails is uniform for the whole Czech Republic and it is performed by the Club of Czech Tourists. Tag is a white square 10 x 10 cm with the colour wheel in the middle. The colour of the wheel corresponds with the level of the trail. Riding stations are places which provide overnight accommodation for horses and their riders. This stations are divided into three levels, according to the offered range of services. Another part of this thesis includes the development of equestrian tourism and the current status of horse trails in the Czech Republic. There is also declared an overview of equestrian tourism in some foreign countries. The last part is focused on Vysocina Region. There are pleasantly rugged landscape, beautiful nature and one of the cleanest environment in the Czech Republic. There are also protected areas which offer education trails. This region is located in a moderately warm climate with all four seasons. Tourism is also varied. The most widespread are biking and skiing and there are opportunities for canoeing, mountain climbing or agrotourism. Lovers of culture and history can also apply their interest. At present, the Vysocina Region has well-function network of horse trails with a total length over 860 km and 150 certified riding stations. Regional management realize the importance of the equestrian tourism and they work on improving its involvement in tourism.
