Kuchařová, Miroslava ; Krejčí, Hana (advisor) ; Anderlová, Kateřina (referee)
The Master's thesis entitled "Gestational Diabetes Diet" deals with the issue of eating habits and a lifestyle of women diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus during pregnancy. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the definition, causes and a mechanism of origin, consequences for mother and fetus and also deals with the diagnostic procedures and all possibilities of treatment of this disease. In this part, the diagnostic method analyzed by using the oGTT stress test and a diabetic diet - that together with other preventive measures (mainly physical aktivity) is the first choice in the treatment of pregnancy diabetes - are described in more details. The practical part of this master's thesis contains the results of a questionnaire survey in two groups of pregnant women - with already diagnosed gestational diabetes and before its diagnosis in the oGTT test. It also contains the results of the analysis of women with GDM diets. The analysis were processed by the NutriPro Expert diet program and the results are then compared with the current nutritional recommendations of the Czech Republic for pregnant and nursing women. Low carbohydrate diet in type 2 diabetes mellitus therapy
Kábelová, Adéla ; Krejčí, Hana (advisor) ; Šeda, Ondřej (referee)
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) is a highly prevalent metabolic disorder, which substantially affects quality of patients' lives and simultaneously increases the risk of early death due to development of its specific complications. Current T2D therapy comprises mainly pharmacotherapy, however, lifestyle changes, particularly modification of dietary habits, also assume an important role in the process. While conventional dietotherapy of T2D primarily concerns reduction of dietary fat intake aiming to achieve caloric restriction, the low carbohydrate diet (LCD), recently often discussed in relation to T2D therapy, is based on the reduction of dietary carbohydrates, whereas fats and/or proteins are increased. The positive effects of LCD in T2D therapy and its comorbidities are summarized in the theoretical part of this thesis. The aim of the practical part of the bachelor thesis was to asses the effect of LCD on health parameters associated with T2D as well as the subjective sense of respondents' satisfaction with this diet together with their adherence and compliance. The results of the survey showed that LCD led to weight loss, decreased waist circumference, glycaemia and levels of glycated haemoglobin and led, in a number of cases, to medication reduction. The level of satisfaction with LCD in the...
Awareness of pregnant women about appropriate diet during pregnancy and lactation
Brandejsová, Olga ; Svačina, Štěpán (advisor) ; Krejčí, Hana (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the general knowledge of pregnant women about appropriate diet during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part summarizes the knowledge of preconception nutrition, important nutrients during pregnancy, dangerous substances for the developing fetus, gestational diabetes mellitus and also includes general recommendations for pregnant and nursing women. The main objective of the practical part was to verify the respondents' knowledge of appropriate diet during pregnancy and lactation. Next, confirm or refute hypothesis number 1, whether multiparae are more informed about a diet more than the primiparae and hypothesis number 2, how many women were using preconceptual folic acid. An electronic questionnaire was developed to collect data and was distributed through social networks in pregnancy-oriented groups. So the questionnaire could be filled by every pregnant woman in the Czech Republic at any time according to her time. In total 491 questionnaires were processed. The results were entered into a table in Microsoft Excel and then summarized and evaluated in the form of graphs and tables. The results show that the difference in knowledge of primiparae and multiparae of appropriate diet during...

The survey shows that the majority of respondents eat mostly varied food according to the principles of healthy nutrition with respect to vegetarianism. The greater part of the respondents tend to alternatives in relation to decisions about their own bodies. Metabolic specifics of women with a positive history of gestational diabetes
Jarošová, Adéla ; Vejražková, Daniela (advisor) ; Krejčí, Hana (referee)
Gestational diabetes (GDM) is a disorder of glucose metabolism arising for the first time in pregnancy and spontaneously receding after birth. The issue of GDM is very topical since, according to the latest update of diagnostic criteria, up to 17% of pregnant women is threatened by this disorder. The incidence of GDM correlates with the increasing prevalence of overweight/obesity and metabolic syndrome. It is proved that women who have had gestational diabetes have an enormously increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2T). The risk accosiated with a gestational diabetes pregnancy stretches beyond the host, and can affect the fetus both directly (e. g. macrosomia development), and epigenetically (increases susceptibility to obesity, DM2T development or cardiovascular disease). Significant influence on the development of GDM (or DM2T) is a body composition that is directly related to lifestyle (nutritional intake and physical activity) and genetic role i salso involved. Early intervention may help delay the risk of developing DM2T and other metabolic complications. In this diploma thesis we monitored metabolic profiles of glucose and lipids and body composition based on anthropometric examination and questionnaires of nutritional income and physical activity. For the complex...

Tesařová, Veronika ; Anderlová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Krejčí, Hana (referee)
7 Abstract The aim of my bachelor thesis, which deals with eating habits relating to gestational diabetes, is to discover potential effects of diabetic diet on eating habits of patients with diagnosed gestational diabetes mellitus. The main hypothesis is related directly to this aim. Other subsidiary aims and hypotheses reflect not only concrete changes of eating habits and constraints in comparison with previous habits but also diagnosis, education and treatment of gestational diabetes mellitus in concrete medical institution where the research took place. My work is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. Theoretical part aims at gathering available information about gestational diabetes - emergence of disease, manifestation, perils and complications, diagnosis and dietary treatment. There are briefly mentioned general rules and principles of healthy eating. Practical part contains evaluation of data which was gathered during questionnaire research at Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic of General University Hospital in Prague, where 30 patients of diabetic ambulance were addressed to be part of the research. The aim of this part was to discover if adherence to diabetic diet during pregnancy period and change of life style affected their eating habits and what was the most challenging part of...
The Use of Guerilla in Culture
Mitošinková, Barbora ; Černá, Jitka (advisor) ; Krejčí, Hana (referee)
The main topic of my bachelor thesis is the use of guerilla in culture and my research objective is to find out whether there exist assumptions, reasons, and inspirational positive experience supporting the use of guerrilla marketing in cultural organizations. I try to analyze guerrilla marketing in the context of cultural organizations and its possible application with respect to the decreasing efficiency of traditional marketing. Because of the strong interdependence between guerrilla and traditional marketing I explore this relationship by means of the marketing mix. Then I present the results of the survey based on responses from cultural organizations, contributory organizations in particular. The questions addressed to cultural organizations were focused on their knowledge of guerrilla marketing and their current, past or planned use of guerrilla marketing. I present two case studies: one from Italy, the other one from the Czech Republic to show inspirational and positive experience with guerrilla. In conclusion I deal with preparation, implementation and evaluation of my own guerrilla campaign. My desire to contribute to the discussion about guerrilla marketing in culture is, among other things, motivated by my personal favor and preference of imaginative, unique and functional marketing.
