Wear on tires for passenger cars
Jurnečka, Ladislav ; Němec, Karel (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
The intention of this bachelor´s thesis is describing of the construction and tire wear for passenger cars. The part of this thesis includes consideration of the possibilities of subsequent processing and use of this material.
Optimization of the structure and properties of materials for motorcycle parts
Stárek, Jan ; Němec, Karel (referee) ; Juliš, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this study is to review the materials used on selected motorcycle components. The present bachelor thesis concerned with comparison of serial parts and alternative variants for racing. Describes the production of specific components and studying some of their material characteristics. Justifies the potential use of non-traditional manufacturing technologies. Each chapter is dedicated to elements pursued by the use of special attention during operation of motorcycle. The main part of the experimental testing of levers and sprockets from different suppliers. The work is also illustrated by the choice and use of two different materials on one component. The selected components are subjected to material tests.
Replacing of metal sheets with laminates
Ulrich, Josef ; Němec, Karel (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor´s thesis is composite material, specifically fiberglass. In the first part of this thesis fiberglass is described, their composition, chosen production technology and possibility of use. Mechanical properties and its advantages of fibreglass are compared with metal sheets. Fibreglass is described on example of particular component.
Heat Treatment of Forged Axles
Kaizar, Libor ; Němec, Karel (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
This thesis presents a production and heat treatment of forged axles. Additionally, there is the supplier selection procedures for the production of steel axles, mechanical and chemical tests, methods of preservation and packaging of axles. All procedures and technologies that are listed in this work are used in Bonatrans Group Inc., which is in production and processing of axles one of the largest companies in the world.
Carbon Fibre Composite Materials
Mikula, Martin ; Molliková, Eva (referee) ; Němec, Karel (advisor)
In the first part of a Bachelor's work there is a general introduction with composite materials. These materials are seperated on the basis of matrix kind. The production of composite materials is described as well. The second part is focused on the carbon fibre materials in more detail. The application of composite materials in aviation industry is in the third part of the Bachelor's work.
Titanic Destruction inTerms of Materials
Nedbalová, Radka ; Molliková, Eva (referee) ; Němec, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor work deals with the Titanic destruction especially of the material terms. It contains a summary of findings of the voyage and sinking, characteristics of the Titanic's hull material and the comparison then the material with current material. The work also describes material testing by Charpy impact tests and its historical development and evaluation of tests on specimens of the Titanic hull. Finally, also deals with design flaws of the ship's structure and results of all disaster.
Properties and the Use of Metal Foams
Křivánek, Robin ; Liškutín, Petr (referee) ; Němec, Karel (advisor)
In this thesis are summarized the findings of metal foams, with prevailing constraints on aluminum foam, because in them hides the greatest potential. The first part is described the production of porous materials, especially the way of floam production by thermal decomposition of floaming agent and melt gas injection. There are also written stress tests to gain a deeper knowledge of their properties, but also the latest exploring methods of foams, such as using a radioscopiy and CT scanner from which then creates a voxel model of foam. They are summarized here the basic ways of processing. Finally we must mention the possibility of using these materials with a focus on commercially produced foams Alporas® and Duocel®. Mass using foams mainly prevents high production costs and in some cases difficult reproducibility of properties.
Fatigue properties of titanium alloys
Horník, Vít ; Němec, Karel (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is concerned with fatigue properties of titanium alloys. The introductory part deals with basic information about titanium, its production, distribution of titanium alloys and their heat-treating. Next part then describes basic process of fatigue loading with the focus on the high-cycle fatigue stress and its application on some titanium alloys. The final part of the thesis includes optical and fractograph pictures.
The History of Non-Ferrous Alloys in Aircraft Industry
Dušek, Přemysl ; Gejdoš, Pavel (referee) ; Němec, Karel (advisor)
Main part bachelor work be concerned common description magnesium alloys, compare with aluminium alloys, benefits or disadvantages magnesium alloy, describe groups of magnesium alloys after alloying component, technological properties and heat treatment.Next part my bachelor work includes application magnesium alloys in aircraft constructions from second worl war in Germany to present day.
Aluminium and its Alloys for the Automotive Industry
Slavíček, Jiří ; Liškutín, Petr (referee) ; Němec, Karel (advisor)
The work deals with the description of alluminium and its alloys used in the car industry. It contains a basic division into foundry and wrought alloys with description of their character and application to the concrete components. The work also describes the production of a modern material - alluminium foam.
