Comparison of Standards of Living in Czech republic before and after year 1989

The main objective of this study is to compare living standards in our country before 1989, when in charge were the communist party and the standard of living at the moment. Study seeks to build on theories and practices mentioned authors who have studied the issue, but only marginally. The theoretical part explains the concept of living standards and define the right tools for exploring the area. In the practical part by consumer basket compare the periods, and to confirm the hypothesis that over-applied to the case study.
Analysis of social housing in the Czech Republic in 2014 and the possibilities of its future development

This Bachelor Thesis is focused on the situation of social housing in the Czech Republic in 2014 and on the possibilities of its future development. Analysis of the housing market brings result that housing expenditures are increasing year by year, simultaneously grow the numbers of social benefits of housing allowance and allowance for living, and so the state expenditure on this politics are increasing. As emerged from the analysis of social housing in the regions of the Czech Republic, the number of social housing is unbalanced between regions. This thesis recommends connecting social housing with the income poverty rate and with the unemployment rate, it also suggests possibilities of future development regarding the specification of duties of the state and municipalities and greater involvement of the regions in the system of social housing. Moreover, it suggests the possibility of future application of the market principle in the form of social rental agencies.
Analysis of the impact of the implementation of regulative out-of-pocket payments on health care system in the Czech Republic after 2008

This bachelor thesis deals with the impact caused by the implementation of regulatory out-of-pocket payments in health care in the Czech Republic since 2008. The theoretical part introduces the financing system of health care in the Czech Republic. The practical part analyzes individual indicators which, according to the Ministry of Health, had an influence on the introduction of regulatory out-of-pocket payments. The objective of this thesis is to determine whether the effect of these indicators was different than planned, and whether that was the reason why the regulatory out-of-pocket payments have been revoked. The results of this analysis show that the impact of the regulatory out-of-pocket payments was, for the most part, as expected, and that their dissolution thus had a different reason.
Impact of chosen state social support benefits on birth rate in the Czech Republic after 2000

This thesis focuses on the impact of chosen state social support benefits on birth rate in the Czech Republic after 2000. It aims to analyse development of governmental expenditures on social support benefits and to find mutual influence. The thesis describes development of social support benefits in detail, development of governmental expenditures and development of birth rate in the Czech Republic. The task was solved using numerical comparison and liner regression. The outcome of this research is that there might be correlation and also that social support benefits and birth rate declines in the second half of the period under review. Based on the correlation found, it is possible to assume, that these factors might affect each other. The conclusion indicates, which way a future research might continue.
Comparative analysis of the foster care system in the Czech Republic and Denmark in 2015

The subject of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the system of foster care in the Czech Republic and identify areas for potential improvement on the basis of comparison with the foster care system in Denmark. Firstly, this thesis deals with the historical development of foster care systems in mentioned countries and their social background. Furthermore, this thesis compares systems of foster care in several aspects. Comparison shows that there is more power left to the non-state actors in the area of foster care in Denmark. Denmark also has more types of foster care and spends more money on this area. Denmark, in comparison with the Czech Republic is characterized by individual approach in determining the level of foster care and greater variability of individual contributions. Based on this comparison there are suggested improvements for the Czech Republic.
Comparative analysis of primary and secondary education in Finland and South Korea from 2012 to 2014

The Bachelor thesis deals within its theoretical part with international education evaluations and assessment. It shows latest data from PISA 2012 and Pearson's Learning Curve. It further explains essential theoretical background especially the International Standard Classification of Education, the national curriculum theory, models of education systems and basics of an educational environment. Practical part of the thesis focuses on data analysis from OECDs' sources and outputs from studies of other authors. It elaborates the functioning of education systems in Finland and South Korea. Subsequently it brings results that education systems of both countries operate on the opposite principle. The Finnish education system works with positive motivation and collaboration while the Korean educational system works with negative motivation and competition. A common feature is the quality of teachers and an uniform school model without selective education.
Nowadays influence of social politics on Czech families.

This bachelor thesis describes nowadays influence of social politics on Czech families. The theoretical part describes the system of social security scheme and its inner benefits for families with children. The practical part applies these benefits on model families and study their influence. This part also examines the impact on different families such as university educated people, couples with minimum salary or single mothers. The research shows the difficulties of inequitable system. On the basis of this research the last part suggests measures to improve the system.
Transformation options for the current Czech pension system, emphasizing the problem of re-distribution rates and long-term sustainability

This thesis describes anticipated development of the Czech pension system and the impact of population ageing on future pension benefits. The theoretical part describes the characteristics of the basic pension system models and the current pension system in the Czech Republic. It factors in the current political situation, current policies and debated changes. Using this data, the practical part estimates the future amount of pensioners in upcoming decades. The research results show that the number of pensioners in future decades will be significantly growing. The replacement ratio for future pensioners is decreasing and the average amount of money that Czech citizens are saving up in the III. pillar is insufficient to keep the ratio stable without taking additional measures.
Is it appropriate to cancel the second pillar of the current pension system in the Czech Republic?

The main subject of this bachelor thesis is the pension system in Czech Republic, primarily its second pillar which was introduced in 2013. First part of thesis is focused on the characteristics of pension systems divided into selected criteria, followed by the description of historical progression of the system in Czech Republic. This progression led the spring of this thesis to the reasons which has led to needs of a change. This part is followed by analysis of reforms in past years. The main part of this thesis is focused on the second pension pillar and analysis of its failure in the Czech Republic, compared to the other countries in V4 group. Constituent part of the main section is also made by general analysis of a second pillar. Answer to the question of cancellation of the second pension pillar is based on those analysis. Last part of this thesis is focused on proposing changes which should be covered in designing of the future progression of the Czech pension system.
Comparison of pension resources for self-employed and employees in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis compares current pension resources for self-employed and employees in the Czech Republic. The core of the thesis is the calculation which compares the advantage of minimum deposits for pension insurance and their influence on the total pension amount. Using analytical methodology, the thesis compares the advantages of minimum deposits in combination with alternative savings for pensions or in an open shared fund. This work evaluates the minimum deposits, when combined with alternative savings as being profitable when we have long time for savings.
