Complex evaluation of the basic school ski courses in the Czech republic

Name: Complex Evaluation of Primary School Ski Courses in the Czech Republic Objective: The objective of this diploma thesis is a complex evaluation of a representative primary school ski courses in the Czech Republic according to the five following criteria, which are staffing of the course, content and organisation of the course, health and safety of the pupils, methodology of the training and economic side. The crucial aspect of the evaluation is the fact whether the working hypotheses will be proved or disproved. Methodology: Our thesis has the character of a qualitative research. Data that refer to the topic are collected in the form of non anonymous survey of at random chosen primary schools in all regions of the Czech Republic. For this purpose, a non-standardized questionnaire is used. It consists of open-ended, semi close-ended and close-ended questions. The questionnaire is compiled to enable a complex evaluation of ski courses in accordance with the areas of interest, which are staffing of the course, content and organisation of the course, health and safety of the pupils, methodology of the training and economic safeguarding. 1 Abstract Name: Complex evaluation of the basic school ski courses in the Czech republic Objective: The objective of this diploma thesis is to evaluate complexly a chosen basic school ski school courses in the Czech republic according to five above mentioned criteria and to confirm or dismiss hypothesisses. Methodology: I created a non-standardized questionnare with open-ended, semi close-ended and close- ended questions to evaluate ski courses according to the above mentioned criteria. This questionnare was sended non-anonymously online via survio.com to randomly chosen basic schools in every single province of the Czech republic. Collected data were statistically analysed in the Survio and Microsoft EXCEL® programm and the results were eriched with graphs and commentary. Results: In this diploma thesis basic school ski courses were evaluated according to determined criteria, at least one hypothesis was related to every criterion. I could confirm that the majority of ski course leaders are ski instructors (50 hours training, no trade licence). Methodology of telemark skiing

Title: Methodology of telemark skiing Aim of the study: The aim of this thesis is to create educational, methodological and motivational film, which will include design of metodology of telemark skiing. Methods: In developing this thesis, we used a combination of methods of critical analysis of documents and the author's own empirical experience with telemark skiing with the method of comparison of selected knowledge, methods and participating and uninvolved observation and cinematographic film processing method. The work is a synthesis of theoretical research and dynamic field work. Results: According to this thesis was created teaching methodology and motivational DVD that in addition to the metodology also out lines the historical aspects and current concepts of telemark skiing. The text of the thesis in theoretical part complements the DVD detailed information from the history and information about telemark equipment. Nutritional status of seniors depending on their dietary habits.

The title of the work: Nutritional status of seniors depending on their dietary habits. The aim of the work: The aim of my project is monitoring of nutritional status of women in the age group between 55-74 years old. Methodology: This work is a case study and is composed as a qualitative research. The main method for determining the nutritional status and dietary habits of the women was interwiev, clinical and anthropometric examination according to a standardized protocol input of Survey Project-Health application (Fiala, 1998). As for data collecting, it is a prospective study. The obtained data regarding nutritional habits, alcohol consumption, smoking, level of physical activity, psychosocial stress, family anamnesis, blood pressure, anthropometric and biochemical parameters of individual respondents were processed by a computer program Survey (Kozina, 2001). The results are in output protocols, which contain charts, scales, tables and text with graphic design program options within Excel. Outcomes: Nutritional status of women in the study (55 - 74 year old) shows the overweight or even obesity. Title Diagnosis of the nutritional status focused on overweight and obese population. The aim of the work The aim of thesis is to summarize and describe the methods that are used for determining the nutritional status of overweight and obese individuals. Methodology The thesis is a theoretical work with a search character. The main method in the creation of this type of work is a critical content analysis of available resources for the work, and the subsequent comparison of selected findings about diagnosis of nutritional status of overweight and obese population. Results Review article shows that in the clinical practices of identifying a person's nutritional status of overweight or obese at the first contact with the examined using BMI. The orientation index is also used index WHR. Due to the approximate nature of these indexes, however, provides for additional precise examinations body composition, which are for example caliper measurements or bioimpedance. Essential components of a diagnosis of nutritional status are also constitutional typology, family and personal history, immunological examination, biochemical tests and monitoring dietary habits. Title: Cross-country skiing usage within the educational process at Children's Home with School Vrchlabi. Objectives: The objective of the bachelore thesis is the movie production, where I document and evaluate the specifics of cross-country skiing training and related attendance of students of Children's Home with School Vrchlabi during the Winter Olympic Games. Methods: Methods used for the purpose of this bachelor thesis were the observation and video documenting of students ski trainings and participation at Educational Institute & Children's Home with School winter games and method of conducted interview with Children's home with school Vrchlabi teachers. Results: The final videodocument from the ski camp and attendance on the WOH shows practiacally used metodics during the crosscountry ski camp. The second part presents the process of WOG, atmosphere and disciplines. Healthy nutrition for children of young school age (Healthy diet for children of young school age/pupilage)

7 Abstract Title: Healthy nutrition for children of young school. Objective: The objective of this thesis is to create a clear summary of current general expert/professional dietary recommendations for children of young school age. Methodology of thesis: This is a search paper in which I firstly analyse expert opinions on healthy nutrition and right eating habits of children of young school age. General overview of current nutritional recommendations for children of young school age are created by synthesis and comparison of selected expert opinions. Outcomes: Diet of children at pre-school age should be varied and divided into five smaller portions per day. Size of a single portion for the individual groups has been defined in the text. Recommended share of sugars should comprise 55-65% of the overall energetic in-take. However, children should avoid consumption of monosaccharides. Cereals should be represented in six portions per day in children's diet. Ideally, three portions of vegetables and two to three portions of fruit per day should be consumed. Fat should consist between 30 and 35% of the overall energetic intake. Current trends in teaching children skiing

Name of the essay: Current trends in teaching children skiing Aim of the essay: The aim of the study was to gather available instructional materials, documents relating to skiing preschool and young school children. Methods: This is a literature search based on an analysis of documents. Results: The sources obtained showed that ski lessons preschool age and school age can be done three different ways, namely: skiing under the guidance of parents, participation in the "schools" ski course or paid teaching in commercial ski school. When teaching skiing led by parents, parent participation benefit the most will appreciate the youngest children in full started. It is suitable for positive incentives to attract more skiing skills. The disadvantage of skiing with my parents is the possibility of non-professional teaching at a child that can lead to unmotivation. In the school skiteaching is the course led by school teacher, backed by a professional instructor, ensuring quality teaching methodical sequence. The advantage is that the teacher knows the children's long and can have individual access. Another advantage is that the ski skills to meet a group of unsportsmanlike children who would not come into contact with skiing. Difficulty of this course is to motivate unsportsmanlike children. Ski training program of the older school age beginners and the evaluation of acquired skiing skills.

Title: Ski training program of the older school age beginners and the evaluation of acquired skiing skills. Objectives: The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to prepare a concept of the ski training program for school age beginners, including the schema how to evaluate a succes of created program as well. This program should be verified in my diploma paper Methods: The main processing method used in this bachalor thesis is the analysis of documents. I created a concept of the ski training program for older school age beginners based on analysis and synthesis of theoretical information. I created a schema, how to assess a level of acquired skiing skills of the course attendants. Method used in this schema is a subjective assess scale, standard scale, based on a video-analysis of well defined test runs of the attendants on the beginning and the end of the course. Results: I created in a table form a ski training program of the older school age beginners and a thorough description of the considered excercises. The video of the course attendatns will be evaluated and analysed according to the standard scale with well defined five test runs to assess acquired skiing skills of the course attendants.
