Position and Perspectives of the Company BUKOCEL, a. s. on European Markets

The only non-integrated pulp mill in Slovakia BUKOCEL, a. s. is 100% exporter of its product short fiber kraft bleached paper pulp. Pulp is intermediate product, which is used primarily in paper sector. Export of this company is mainly directed to European markets. The aim of this paper is to state the position and perspectives of this company on European markets. The evaluation of its status is based on paper sector's point of view. And by analysing the European pulp and paper industry, its evolution as well as by outlining future prospects, together with the evaluation of Slovak market and by comparing the company with its competition and stating its weaknesses and strengths, as well as, its opportunities and threats and lastly, analysing European environment by conducting PEST analysis, fulfills this paper's goal of stating the position of this company on the pulp market, as well as its further growth opportunities. Pulp and paper industry is showing up to be a perspective industry with broad possibilities of growth of its product portfolio, mainly in segment of packaging and tissue paper as well as in innovative ways of using cellulose fibre outside of paper sector.
Social entrepreneurship as a trend in the issue of employment of people with disabilities

This bachelor thesis focuses on the employment of people with disabilities and social entrepreneurship. The aim is to familiarize the reader with this issue and to introduce social entrepreneurship as a suitable form of enterprise in the employment of people with disabilities. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the employment of people with disabilities within the EU. The second chapter deals with the employment of people with disabilities in the Czech Republic. The third chapter is focused on social entrepreneurship. Lastly, the final chapter discusses Ergotep, a cooperative of disabled people. Ergotep demonstrates good practice of social enterprise employing people with disabilities.
Human resource management in Linet company, Ltd., focusing on employee motivation

The thesis deals with the human resource management from theoretical and practical view. In other words, what should the right human resource management look like and how it works in the case of real company LINET. The thesis takes closer look at specific part of human resource management - work motivation. The questionnaire survey among current as well as potential employees was used as a main method to gain reliable data. Results of the survey showed minor imperfections that may have a direct influence on motivation, satisfaction and performance of employees.
World oil market

In my bachelor thesis I deal with the situation on the world oil market. The aim is to get closer to the historical and current data of world oil consumption, its supplies and prices, and to outline the future state of the market and also to study alternative energy sources that could replace the currently widely used fossil fuel. To analyse world oil market I have used statistical reports, which are issued annually by the world important world organizations such as OPEC or IEA. Carried out research work is in progress to assess the current supply and demand for oil and at the same time it is estimated the possible scenario in the future oil trading. Biofuels and hydrogen are highlighted among the renewable sources which surely will play a major role in the coming years in search of other alternatives to oil and in which conceals a lot of potential. The view of this work is the outlook of the other years in terms of oil consumption and price trends and approaches the issue of alternative energy sources. Although they promise a bright future for these resources in the form of a reduction of our dependence on oil, research in this field has still many unresolved issues.
Czech-Brazil Commercial Relations

The bachelor thesis deals with the Czech-Brazil commercial relations from the beginning to the present. In the first part it presents basic informations about both countries and brief history of the development of mutual relations. The second chapter concentrates on commercial relations during the 20th century, describes the commodity structure and the contract base. The third chapter focuses on the present trade between both countries, describes Czech foreign direct investments in Brazil and the Brazil in the Czech Republic, deals with Czech exporters, Brazil trade barriers and their solution. The fourth chapter presents potencial branches for the Czech exporters and some recommendations for the negotiation. The attachement includes statiscs data of the mutual trade from 1919 to 2015.
The export strategy of Jitex Comfort, s. r. o. on the German market

The diploma thesis is about export strategy of Jitex Comfort, s. r. o. on the German market. The first part is about characteristic and current situation of Jitex Comfort on the Czech market, its history, organizational structure and business strategy. Followingly the thesis states the reasons why Jitex Comfort wants to enter the German market. In the next part is analysis of German market. The last section is about suggestion of the export strategy.
The Investment Climate and FDI in South Africa

The diploma thesis deals with the flows of foreign direct investment and the investment climate of South Africa which is introduced in its context as one of the most significant African economies and the leader of this region who not only receives foreign investment, but also implements many projects by himself. The result of this paper is besides the description of the inflows and outflows of foreign direct investment mainly the comprehensive evaluation of the investment climate through the analysis of strengths and weaknesses of the South African economy. Mentioned are the risks related to possible investment and also opportunities that are supported by the government through a variety of incentives and programs for the development of specific sectors of the economy. The information gathered in this diploma thesis can help foreign companies as a basis for their decisions on implementation of foreign direct investment to South Africa or surrounding regions.
The analysis of the retail market segment of a healthy food in Hradec Králové

The bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of the health food market in Hradec Králové. The work is divided into three parts. First section aims to characterize the organic food market in the Czech Republic in terms of producers, distributors and consumers with an estimate of future development. Another part is dedicated to the analysis of the market in Hradec Králové in order to define the typical customer of specialized health food stores and his shopping behavior using quantitative research.The last part deals with the analysis of the competition of selected health food shop for the purpose of choosing an appropriate competitive strategy. Competition is analyzed on the theoretical basis of Kotler's competitive analysis and Porter's five forces model.
Support for small and medium enterprises in the Visegrad Four countries

This work is focused on supporting of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Visegrad Four (V4), i.e. the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Poland and Hungary in 2007 - 2013. The work analyzes the governmental support of SMEs in each of these V4 countries, which includes the situation of the SMEs, institutions providing support and individual programs of support. This part is followed by the SWOT analysis of support systems in V4 countries. The final chapter is devoted to the practical application of support system of SMEs in the V4 countries on the example of state assistance to entrepreneurs affected by the floods in June 2013. This work gives a comprehensive look at the issue of support of SMEs in the V4 countries and provides detailed understanding of their position and importance of small and medium-sized enterprises at both, national and international level.
Franchising in the Czech market conditions

Business franchising is a form of business present in the Czech market since the first half of the 1990s. Franchising has known dynamic growth both in the world and the Czech Republic. This bachelor's thesis is structured into two main chapters, the first of which provides a comprehensive outline of the major advantages and disadvantages in operating business under franchise, along with key principles behind franchising. The second chapter seeks to provide a practical application of the theoretical background for franchising introduced in the first chapter. Accordingly, it concentrates on two franchises that have succeeded in the Czech Republic.
