Recognizing the historical period of interpretation based on the music signal parameterization
Král, Vítězslav ; Mucha, Ján (referee) ; Kiska, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this semestral work is to summarize the existing knowledge from the area of comparison of musical recordings and to implement an evaluation system for determining the period of creation using the music signal parameterization. In the first part of this work are describe representations which can music take. Next, there is a cross-section of parameters that can be extracted from music recordings provides information on the dynamics, tempo, color, or time development of the music’s recording. In the second part is described evaluation system and its individual sub-blocks. The input data for this evaluation system is a database of 56 sound recordings of the first movement of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony. The last chapter is dedicated to a summary of the achieved results.
Musical instruments recognition from audio records using Music information retrieval techniques
Kárník, Radoslav ; Mucha, Ján (referee) ; Kiska, Tomáš (advisor)
This paper discusses design and implementation of classifying system for recognition of musical instruments from audio records with use of Musical Information Retrieval techniques. In the first part, paper describes parameters used for instrument classification, calculation of said parameters from records and reduction of feature vector. Next part is devoted to tuning and implementation of various classifiers with focus on neural networks. These classifiers ar further tested on records from IRMAS dataset wchich contain 11 musical instruments playing solo or with other instruments. Results of classifiers tested on different parameters and different numbers of instruments are discussed in the last part.
Web application for training and validation of machine learning models
Svoboda, Jan ; Mucha, Ján (referee) ; Galáž, Zoltán (advisor)
The delegation of resource-intensive operations to the server-side computers is an ongoing trend. Containerized applications serve as an abstraction over the servers and provide needed scalability. The architecture of the implemented application utilized as a platform for an asynchronous execution of training and validation of machine learning models is heavily influenced by the containerization. Individual users of a web application are given a separate container with prepared environment for running a model with selected parameters. Status of the training process is monitored by the application. After the result is obtained the analysis takes place and components providing visualization are rendered in the user interface.
Application for dysarthria examination using test 3F for Android
Sarker, Joy Tomáš ; Mekyska, Jiří (referee) ; Mucha, Ján (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on diagnosing dysarthria thru a diagnosis apparatus called “Test 3F dysarthria profile“. During an examination with the apparatus the examined person undergoes 45 exercises that are meant to test respiration, phonation, phonetics, and the volubility of certain speech organs. The examiner, a clinical speech therapist, assesses the execution quality of each exercise with a number from 0 to 2. On the grounds of received points from all the exercises the level of dysarthria is diagnosed. The 3F test in this bachelor thesis is implemented as an Android application for Android devices and is supplemented by a partial automation of the examination based on an acoustic analysis of recorded speech of the examinee. The recorded speech is pre-processed by segmentation into 25 ms long frames using Hamming window. From this aforementioned speech recording we can determine speech fundamental frequency, jitter, and shimmer. The main goal and outcome is the creation of a modern mobile application for Android devices which, with the help of the 3F test, will make diagnosing dysarthria easier.
Virtual reality as a tool for therapy in medicine
Pecháček, Vilém ; Mekyska, Jiří (referee) ; Mucha, Ján (advisor)
Virtual reality is increasingly the subject of scientific studies dealing with the therapy of neurodegenerative diseases, and its use in combination with conventional therapy appears to be beneficial. The aim of the work is a research of the available literature on this topic and an analysis of commercially available headsets and their technologies. Another of the objectives of the work is the design and implementation of an application for the therapy of motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease with an emphasis on data collection. The application will be developed in the Unreal Engine 5 environment for the Meta Quest 2 headset.
Web application for online handwriting data acquisition
Fiala, Marek ; Mikulec, Marek (referee) ; Mucha, Ján (advisor)
The aim of this work is the implementation of a web application for the acquisition of handwritten signal (online handwriting) using the Wacom digitizing tablet. The solution of the current possibilities of implementation of web applications was performed and the most suitable variant for implementation was chosen within this work. The application allows user to export data to a * .json file and display the following recorded exercise. The application is constructed in the Django framework and its main functionality is rendering handwritten data. The stored data has a spacific notation structure for compatibility reasons for possible data analyses.
Web application for online handwriting data visualization and analysis
Šebová, Vladimíra ; Galáž, Zoltán (referee) ; Mucha, Ján (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor thesis is to deals with the research of current options for the implementation of web applications, the choice of the most suitable variant for implementation, the design and implementation of a web application for the visualization and basic analysis of handwritten speech recorded using a Wacom digitizing tablet. The work describes several technologies that were used in the design and creation of this web application. The application will be able to read data from a file of a predefined format and play the font using a time stamp. It will also provide basic analytical information about the played data, such as speed, acceleration and number of strokes. The analyzed data will be able to be exported as a video file.
Differential analysis of online handwriting versus pen and paper handwriting.
Plaček, Ivo ; Mekyska, Jiří (referee) ; Mucha, Ján (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis presents a basic introduction with the writing and its development, writing disordes, used devices for online writing and their software. It also contains the collected data, which is then analyzed to determine the difference between the tested devices. The main part of the work is devoted to the evaluation of the differences between writing on paper and digitizing tablets, both from the point of view of the differences in individual parameters, and also from the point of view of the influence of the differences in these parameters by the age groups of the respondents and their gender. In the course of the work, a comparison of individual parameters was performed, a T-test was performed between parameters in individual groups created according to the age of the respondents, but also between their genders. Subsequently, a correlation analysis was carried out and, at the end of the work, an evaluation of the results, when differences were found in the speed of writing, its width and the pressure on the pen when writing on individual devices..
Exploring the Contribution of Isochrony-based Features to Computerized Assessment of Handwriting Disabilities
Gavenčiak, M. ; Zvončák, V. ; Mekyska, J. ; Šafárová, Katarína ; Čunek, Lukáš ; Urbánek, Tomáš ; Havigerová, Jana Marie ; Bednářová, Jiřina ; Galáž, Z. ; Mucha, J.
Approximately 30–60 % of the time children spend in school is associated with handwriting. However, up to 30 % of them experience handwriting disabilities (HD), which lead to a decrease in their academic performance. Current HD assessment methods are not unified and show signs of subjectivity which can lead to misdiagnosis. The aim of this paper is to propose a new approach to objective HD assessment based on the principle of movement isochrony. For this purpose, we used a database of 137 children attending a primary school, who performed a transcription and dictation task, and who were associated with a BHK (Concise Evaluation Scale for Children's Handwriting) score. Employing a machine learning model, we were able to estimate this score with 18 % error. An interpretation of the model suggests that the isochrony-based features could bring new benefits to the objective assessment of HD.
Assessing Economic Situation of a Company and Proposals for Its Improvement
Mucha, Jakub ; Ponížilová, Veronika (referee) ; Doubravský, Karel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the economic situation Šálek s.r.o. in the years 2013 to 2020. The theoretical part describes the financial indicators, time series, regression and correlation analysis. The analytical part contains calculations of financial indicators, some of which are subjected to static analysis, which is designed to determine the expected development of indicators in the next two years or to show the dependence between selected indicators. The last part of the thesis deals with proposals to improve the current economic situation of the company.
