Gynaecological Problems which Occur in Little and Teenage Girls

In this master thesis we have been concerned with gynaecological problems which occur with little and teenage girls. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. In the theoretical part we have tried to highlight the differences which concern with a child's organism. It is necessary to be aware of the fact that a child's patient is not an adult one. There are also described most often gynecological illnesses of the child's age and basic investigation methods used in child's gynaecology. The closing of the theoretical part is devoted to psychosocial aspects in particular age-periods and family education at basic schools and secondary grammar schools. The empirical part is focused on the research. It was carried out at basic schools and a secondary grammar school. Our aim was to obtain information in what way girls are informed in the sphere of sexual education. The result is that the prevalent majority of girls at the age of 13-15 have good background knowledge in sexual education.
The nurse's role in patient care elimination methods

The aim of thesis was to map the care of nurses and paramedics for patients on continuous renal replecemant therapy. Find out what nurses/paramedics have difficulty taking care of the patients and what would have welcomed into practice to improve care. The theoretical part focuses on the description of the method of elimination, nursing care and competence of health professionals in the care of patients on elimination method. The research was compiled by the method of quantitative research, for whose realization was used a questionnaire. The questionnaire was intended for nurses and paramedics caring for patients on continuous elimination method. For statistical data processing was used responses from 105 respondents working in the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine. The results of the survey indicate that nurses and paramedic extensively involved in the specialized care of patient with continuous elimination method. Medical staff perceived as the most difficult managing a large number of skills associated with the preparation and handling of elimination device in this area. On the basis of these findings was prepared brochure focusing on continuous elimination method, which is the output of this work. Turnover of nurses in the intensive care unit

The aim of this thesis is to determine the causes of turnover of nurses and executives view to map of turnover and its possible solutions. The work also includes an overview of turnover of nurses in selected departments of the Central Military Hospital (UVN) in the period 2005 - 2009. The theoretical part deals with the very concept of fluctuation and is dedicated to its causes, prevention, and its aftermath, which is dealing with the syndrome. Work covers not only demotivating factors, but also analyzes the concept of motivation still evolving role of nurses and public perception. In the introduction to the practical part, which I sought to meet the objectives of the work I've already mentioned survey indicated fluctuations in selected departments of the Central Military Hospital in the period 2005 - 2009. I verified the hypothesis through a questionnaire and guided interviews with managers in the workplace also the Central Military Hospital. The results are summarized in the discussion and conclusion.
Community Mental Health Care

1 Abstract This thesis deals with community mental health care. We focus on patients with affective disorders because we assume that community mental health care services would be salutary for some of them but these patients do not use the services yet. A theoretical part describes the mental health concept and its specification, both in conceptual materials of Czech organizations and in World Health Organization documents. The thesis analyses affective disorders, their social impact and community mental health care situation in the Czech Republic. An empirical part consists of two empirical researches, which are interrelated. The questionnaire survey among hospitalized patients with an affective disorder has been focused on the level of awareness of community mental health care services, on patients' interest in these services and on use of these services. The on-line survey has been conducted in Prague's community mental health care organizations to determine a proportion of clients with an affective disorder within these services and to determine the possibility of their placement. Perception of own health by un-professional public

The thesis deals with the problem of general public's attitude to own health. Its aim consists in mapping the motivation towards one's own health, finding out the factors influencing human health and revealing the causes of passive attitude in relation to gender in smaller as well as larger groups of population. The theoretical part deals with the definition of health and introduces the basic overviews of theories related to health. Furthermore it provides the determinants with a significant impact on health - prevention and support of health. Special attention is paid to the quality of life and motivation, which are closely related to care for health.To examine the research issue quantitative method was selected. Necessary data was collected by a questionnaire enquiry. After the analysis of individual questions and complex evaluation, it could be concluded that although it is health problems which constitute the main incentive for a change of the life style of respondents, the main factors refraining people from care of their own health still consist in lack of motivation and willpower. Attitude of Trained Nurse Towards a Possibility of Academic Study

The diploma work deals with an attitude of trained nurses to a current possibility of studying nursing care at university and gaining graduation degree from a university. The main aim of the diploma work is to find out a current attitude of trained nurses towards academic study of nursing care and to survey readiness of nurses to study at a college. Another aim is to evaluate extension of support for academic study of ward nursing staff of the part of ward and head nurses. The work is conceived as theoretic-practical. In the theoretic part I summarized the initial state of nurse education up to the current transformation nursing care educational system in our country. The other part is exploring. I compare the attitude of trained nurses from general and teaching hospitals towards a possibility of gaining graduation.degree from university. Some Aspects of Communication with a Blind Patient

This diploma work deals with some aspects of the communication with sight disabled patients. The theoretical part is dedicated to the problems of a sight disability, general definition of a communicational idea and and communicational specialities of sight disabled patients. It describes some particular sight defects, psycho - social aspects of a sight disability and it also deals with a training of generally educated nurses, nurses with a diploma and health assistants for a work with sight disabled people. In an experimental part the diploma work makes an inquiry of sight disabled people when visiting Health Centers and on the contrary the experience of nurses with these patients. For this research work two questionaires were made and used. One of the questionaires was used for sight disabled people, another one for nurses. Two experimantal groups consisted of 104 sight disabled people and 100 nurses working in outpatients department. From this research it is perceptable that all the nurses working at all the health workplaces should know how to work with sight disabled people.The research proved that the problems appear in dealing nurses with patients, these problems concern especially the nurses lack of effort to solve the situation with a companion or an unsuitable accompaniment. Animal-assisted therapy

Animal-assisted therapy Introduction into the topic: Animal-assisted therapy is a collective term for rehabilitation methods and methods of psychosocial support of health, based on a positive contact between human and animal. It lies on the border of several disciplines, for example occupational therapy, nursing, psychology or education. This thesis deals with animal-assisted therapy from the perspective of a nurse as a participant in therapy nad its effects, which are reflected in nursing care. Goal This thesis aims to find out what are the experiences of nurses with animal assisted therapy and the extend to which nurses participates. Research questions: What are the experiences of nurses with zootherapy? To what extent the nurse can participate in animal assisted therapy? Which effects of therapy can reflect in nursing care? Methodology: Data collection was conducted semi-structured interview technique that was analyzed with using coding. Results I found that a participation of nurses on canistherapy is rather passive. The nurse tells the canisterapeut necessary information about the current status of the client, in some cases accompanied the therapist to the patient.
