HOUSE ON THE EDGE – Valašské Meziříčí, Sokolská Street
Záthurecká, Zuzana ; Kristek, Jan (referee) ; Makovský, Zdeněk (advisor)
The goal was to create a multifunctional house at a very convenient plot that connects the two boroughs. The house will perform the same function- connection.

Truncová, Eva ; Bartůšek, Ondřej (referee) ; Kristek, Jan (advisor)
In my thesis I had focused on the future development of an area which will be imminently affected by the construction of a new city highway. Based on the research, which I have made in the first weeks, I am designing a mixture of functions: a hotel, parking house and dwellings. By combining those divergent functions together I came up with a solution for such a problematic site.
LIBRARY plus - Multiporpouse Building with Library
Mráz, Ondřej ; Vítek, Jiří (referee) ; Kristek, Jan (advisor)
The library is a display of the world by systematization Symbol and image. The library is also a tool for Cognition of the world. Like the library, the Internet can be considered For the image of the world that arises from the systematization of the symbol and Image and even the Internet is a tool for its discovery. Searching for information has changed in crawl With plenty of picture. Loss of significance One particular object - instead it is the result Information meat. Searching for information on the Internet The search engine has become a full-fledged human activity. Searching for information by an internet search engine is Way of discovering the world where the image of the thing is torn apart Its physical reality. Man needs a material environment to Dematerialized knowledge? How should a house look like, Whose existence is based on a typology whose content is Moved to the virtual cloud?

The place of the archive is connected to me with the mystery theme and the attractive inaccessibility. With the rise of digitization, man's access to the archive changes and so do his feelings about manipulating archival records. In the comfort of the digital world, the idea of prudence and secrecy is lost. By designing a new type of archive, I am trying to create a closed world of the researcher, separated from the surrounding city. There is no access reserved for the privileged group, but the spatial concept does the natural filtering of public visitors
The House Anatomy and the Digital Regionalism
Boušková, Linda ; Magnusková, MA et MA Eva (referee) ; Kristek, Jan (advisor)
Robotics and digital design are associated with the creation of free forms. The thesis deals with the potential of new building technologies in the sense of an opportunity to build on the foregoing regional architecture, disconnected by an industrial mass production. A creation that can reinterpret the charm and diversity of Moravian houses, preserving the continuity between old morphology and today’s housing requirements.
Between the Landscape and the City
Čenovská, Kateřina ; Kristek, Jan (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
My bachelor project is a study of a multifunctional building of Faculty of Science Palacký University in Olomouc, Holice. This building will be a new space for feeding and spending the free time not only for academic community but also for public visiting the nearest neighborhoood for example Holice forest. The building is the main entrance to the premises of the faculty. In the first floor we can find café, cafeteria and library, we can visit the lectures in the auditorium in the second floor and last but not least we will find accommodation for summer school students, teachers and foreign visitors in the second and third floor. Surroundings and the shape of the building are designed to create a new public space for assembly which is now absent.

ANNOTATION The proposal of a household reacts to the current problematic situation in today’s public space and transport. More problems meet in a place under Tomkovo square in the brownfield place of former engine factory: construction of a new Dukel street and project of flood protection. These two linear elements in original proposals will have a great impact on future urban evolvement and public space. The transportation as a noisy barrier exceeding from the new large city circuit to the new “Zbrojovka” and even more regulated Svitava waterfront will act unpleasantly to its surroundings. It will cause impossible transfers from surroundings, and also an expression of these construction interventions would evoke a sewer or a channel. Reaction to this fact is translated into an urban concept, which deals with a street front at the place of New Dukelska as well as Svitava waterfront. There are new and quality spaces for recreation proposed. The extending and folding of the street front create pleasing spaces for isolating from noise and rapid traffic. New street for a flood wall solves widening of a waterfront and incorporates the wall to the building objects along the full length, in a way that an architectural value would be achieved and could be used in alternative ways not just against the flood.

Šana, Václav ; Hora, Jan (referee) ; Kristek, Jan (advisor)
The proposal deals with the architecture archive concept on a wider social scale. The goal is to treat the information as a certain relative value, when the individual spaces are conceived with emotional surprise. There is a controlled collision between old and new approaches where attractive spaces serve purely rational mechanical systems. A person going through the archive should perceive emotional experiences and, after leaving the archive, perceive information in a more complex way.
Dexterity, or build your house
Netrefová, Klára ; MA, Klára Zahradníčková, (referee) ; Kristek, Jan (advisor)
The design of anthropoid / metamorphosis loosely follows the pre-diploma project Fortel or so called "build a house" when I decided to "put my hand to the work, cut, drill, fold…" and to rediscover the imprints of work and tools in the mass from which they disappeared due to the mass production. The output of the project was an eclectic, crumbling garden of prefabricated bricks. Capillary (open) porosity usually occurs in brick products. It allows the penetration and retention of a relatively large amount of water. The bricks are made of natural mineral raw materials, as well as expanded clay, which is commonly used as a hydroponic substrate. At the same time, the porosity of the brick blocks causes future degradation of the material in the exterior. The disrupted "worked" ceramic blocks in the garden burst, mix with the substrate and create a breeding ground for plants. In my diploma thesis I move away from materials formed into modules, imported to the construction site, and I deal with matter in its freest fluid form and forms arising in-situ. The work is permeated by three fluid media, water, clay and concrete. Concrete - initially a fluid material, takes the form of two other materials, solidifies. Clay - as a semi-solid - semi-fluid material Water - infinitely fluid material, still present, rapidly transforms, and periodically comes and disappears, transforms the other two materials. The materials mix together, form into matter, then drain and disintegrate and disappear when their time comes. With these nature-friendly processes, the design works on three scales. On a micro scale, matter decomposes into gravel, sand, loess, which nourishes soils and plants, and allows an environment suitable for a variety of animals. In the middle scale, these are small objects that shape and manipulate the landscape. And in a big scale, it is co-working with the landscape itself.
