New movements and their liturgy focusing on the Eve of Sunday

Title: New movements and their liturgy focusing on the Eve of Sunday In its first part, the thesis deals with the phenomenon of the liturgical celebration of the Eve of Sunday and with its importance and development from the beginning of the church. It also discusses here in general the phenomenon of the new movements emerging after the Second Vatican Council, their influence on the renewal of the church and on the implementation of the lay apostolate. In its second part, the thesis brings a description of the chosen movements - the Community of the Beatitudes, the Neocatechumenal Way and the ecumenical community of the brothers of Taizé - regarding their distinctive celebration of the Eve of Sunday. This part brings also a description of their celebration of the liturgy of the Eve of Sunday itself: of the Vespers of resurrection, the Sunday Eucharist and the Light celebration. In the last, third part, the thesis gives a analysis on the common moments of the liturgical celebration of the Eve of Sunday from the theological-liturgical and also from the pastoral point of view. Anglická anotace PEOPLE'S RELIGIOUNESS AND LITURGY THE RENEWAL OF THE PLACE OF PILGRIMAGE IN SMRŽOV This work focuses on the relation between people's religiousness and liturgy. In the theoretical part it deals with their defining and mutual relation. One of the chapters pays attention to the Czech special characteristics of this relation and of the historical development. Futher, this work deals with selected forms of people's religiousness, e. g. pilgrimage, places of pilgrimage, stations of the Cross and awe of the Virgin Mary and some of its forms. Awe of the Virgin Mary is detailed dealt with for the time between 1850 and 2007. This is the time of building and life of the Smržov Chapel. This chapel is the subject of the practical part of this work. The selected forms of people's religiousness are described in their complexity of the historical development. The practical part focuses on the description of manifestation of people's religiousness and liturgy at a country Marian place of pilgrimage and its renewal after 1989 in the light of church documents. It also pays attention to the possibilities of laymen to take part at these activities. It offers an excellent opportunity to show the link between the secular and church life. Baptismal Ceremonies of Christian Churches The diploma thesis Baptismal Ceremonies of Christian Churches deals with baptismal ceremonies of Roman Catholic Church, Greek Catholic Church, Orthodox Church and Czechoslovak Hussite Church; and Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren. The phenomenon of the baptismal sacrament will be taken in of historical view of baptismal ceremonies and itself in the process of baptismal liturgy. The thesis which is on the ground of historical studies and of contemporary forms of worship will demonstrate common and different elements of baptismal liturgy and to what extent the baptismal theology incorporated into ceremonies varies or resembles. The Holy Mass and Young Children

This Bachelor thesis entitled Holy Mass and small children is aimed at families with children taking part in Mass and it also outlines some possibilities how to bring the Mass effectively to small children and how to get them involved. When writing about small children I mean the children up to the age of six. First, this thesis deals with liturgy in general, the Eucharist, Mass and its structure, highlights celebration of Sundays in families including participation in Mass. It also deals with various ways of celebrating Mass and mainly Mass with small children and forms of children`s active participation in the Eucharist. From the point of view of developmental psychology the thesis specifies children`s abilities in different ages. Next part of the thesis evaluates questionnaires filled in by parents and priests in Litoměřice diocese. The questions can be divided into several categories: an ideal place, an ideal parish, an ideal priest and an ideal form of celebrating Mass. All interviewed people could think about their idea of an ideal Mass with small children. The influence of using military boots on the power of front kick

Title The influence of using military boots on the power of front kick Objectives The aim of this work is to identify and compare front kick while using military boots to front kick with no usage of those boots. Methods This bachelor work can be described as empirical and observational. A multicomponent force plate was used to detect the power of the front kick. The powers of the kick with the boots and without the boots were compared with the aid of a statistic method called paired t-test. Results In four cases the power of the front kick decreased by the influence of the boots, in one of these four cases was the declension statistically significant. In two cases was the power of the front kick increased due to usage of the boots, while in one of these cases was this increase statistically significant. The result of the interpersonal comparation was statistically insignificant. It was ascertained, that a previous experience with combat activities, which use kicking techniques, and also experience with usage of boots while kicking do affect the power of the front kick. Liturgy and popular piety at Marian Shrine. Svatá Hora, Litmanová The presented thesis deals with the liturgy and popular piety, as it is realised at the Marian shrine. By mapping the liturgical life I am looking for answer, whether the relationship between liturgy and popular piety is beneficial and in line with the recommendations contained in the Directory on popular piety and the liturgy of the year 2007. About Marian veneration in the Church testifies a great number of Marian feasts that are celebrated during the liturgical year and the popularity of pilgrimages. The introduction discusses the general phenomenon of pilgrimage, spirituality and the importance of pilgrimages. It is mentioned the role of Mary and her special status in the history of salvation. I also deal with the liturgical life and the popular piety at the place of pilgrimage. There are presented two important shrines - Svatá Hora at Pribram of Latin rite and modern shrine in Slovakia at Litmanová of Byzantine rite with regard to their history and tradition. It covers the liturgical program, both on weekdays and in particular on major pilgrimage feast days in both places. Liturgical Chant at the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom Summary This work dissertates on sacred misic in Byzantine ceremony churches, on a liturgy chant of Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom. The first chapter follows the evolution of chant and music throughout history. The second chapter inquires about roots of chunted liturgy in the repository of the Old Testament, goes to the Jewish liturgy and follows the genesis of the liturgy chant in early Christian period. The third chapter deals in general with liturgy chant and sorts of singing of traditional melodies. The fourth chapter concentrates on characteristics of Byzantine liturgy chant. The fifth chapter deals with history and evolution of Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom and the authorship of his Slavonic translation. The sixth chapter deals with individual parts of a church service and gives full wording of different chants according to the translation of Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom to Czech language. The task of this work is to introduce to the reader the Byzantine liturgy chant as well as its tremendous importance on church service. Modular System for Reporting and Managing Faults in Town

The aim of this bachelor thesis is designing and creating system for reporting and managing issues in towns. The system demonstrates options how to make process of reporting and managing issues more effective thanks to the modern technologies and citizen involvement. The system consists of mobile application, web administration and application server. After getting familiar with the Android application development system, the author of this thesis conducted a research of existing solutions and also analysis of potential customers opinion. Afterwards, the system specification was created. The system was designed and consequently implemented according to the specificiation of the system. The implementation was followed by system testing on group of users who then made its evaluation.

Name Liturgy of Engagement Abstract The thesis focuses on the phenomenon of blessing during engagement in liturgical ceremony of blessing the engaged couple. The aim of the diploma thesis entitled Liturgy of Engagement was to collect data of lay blessing ritual development in history up to present time with the focus on liturgical ceremony of blessing of the engaged couple using compilatory-analytical method. Using synthetic method the collected data were evaluated in their possible development. The thesis is divided in three chapters. The first chapter is based on compilation of secondary literature with subseqent elaboraton together with secondary documents related to lay blessing ceremonies in the history of liturgy. The second chapter deals with the analysis of primary literature about historical development of lay blessing in the engagement ceremony with the primary focus on historical development in the Order of Celebrating Matrimony and the Order of Blessings. Silence in the Contemporary Roman Liturgy

Silence in contemporary Roman Catholic liturgy. The thesis studies the phenomenon of silence in contemporary Catholic liturgy of the Roman rite. The first part looks for the semantic field of the term "silence" from the perspective of several disciplines. The second part consists of an analysis of currently used liturgical books of the Roman rite, while the attention is paid to introductory instructions, to rubrics and to liturgical texts as such. Third, synthetic, part follows up with a typology of various types of silence in liturgy. A list of all identified incidences of silence within liturgical books is added and these passages are classified according to the above-mentioned key.
