Reconstruction of the Town Hall in Bojkovice
Zharova, Kseniia ; Mikeš, Stanislav (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor) ; Struhala, Karel (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis was the reconstruction and reconstruction of the Bojkovice Municipal Office. The municipal office building is located in the historical center of Bojkovice, at the crossroads of Sušilova and Komenského streets. From the south side, the areal adjacent to the train platform. The building itself is not a cultural monument, but in this work we consider that it is protected and is considered in terms of cultural values. The building consists of several parts of different ages, these parts are interconnected. Original oldest building - former municipal inn Leopold Bůchler, built in 1928. During the 20th century the first extension was built - from the eastern part of the building. In the 1980s, the second extension was built - the latest courtyard wing. The whole building with all the extensions creates a feeling of complexity, cramped space. Different height levels cause difficult interconnection between parts of the building. Construction of newer courtyard extensions flow, spaces in this part are currently not used. During the construction of the second extension, the truss structures were connected - the oldest building lost its historical value. The aim of my design was to give preference to the original object - to purify the structures suppressing the historical appearance, to add light and air. The solution was the removal of newer extensions. The historic building will be completely restored to its original form according to historical photographs: a truss, a Czech-style roofing, wooden lining windows, cornices and window frames. The newly designed buildings will be two-storeyed, the historic building will remain higher so it will be more massive. Historical and new parts will be differentiated in character and color - new buildings will be more modern in appearance, discreetly white using wooden elements on the facade, the original building - will be as close as possible to its historical appearance, will be in darker shades
Revitalization Program of Floral Garden in Kromeriz
Guzdek, Adam ; Šupler, Libor (referee) ; Jura, Pavel (advisor)
Today's entrance through honorable courtyard is so representative that there's no sense of replacing it by a new one anywhere else. The entrance object has a triangular tympanum including Maxmilian Josef's gold signature and coat of arms. It looks like noble city palace of that period. Sense of the first floor, so called piano nobile, is slightly recognizing on a facade. It's the floor with a larger high that's intended for representation. Therefore I decided to use the historical object fully and all the visitors' equipment, exhibition and lecture spaces are placed right here. New-buildings in the garden are minimized that way. I conceived both of the resolving gardens very sparingly. The reason is their historical essence. Always they were only related to the formal part of the Flower garden. Premises used for any purpose (breeding of rare birds, resource for rabbit hill, growing tulips and oranges). Květnice with the cut lane walls to allow the visitor facilities and provide some exciting long-distance views Converging walls, disorientation in space, entertainment in the bowling alley, in the maze. These elements should remain a formal part of the garden today. They should be isolated and without competition. I design gardens with order, as well as the designed Libosad itself.

Reconstruction of baroque granary in Bohutice
Klimeš, Michal ; Špiller, Martin (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor) ; Struhala, Karel (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is reconstruction and adaptation with an emphasis on preservation of its original character (change of completed construction) former agricultural building in the village Bohutice, which is relatively rich in cultural monuments. The project is based on the subject AG033 Studio of Architectural Design III - Restoration of Monuments. The Baroque granary was built in the 18th century. It was originally built on the outskirts of the village to store and dry cereals. Later there was a change in the use of the granary and its subsequent construction changes and modifications. The last one in the Baroque granary was an interest in a company that planned to carve valuable wooden structures carrying floors and sell them to Italy. Thanks to the intervention of the present owner, Mr. Pavel Štefek, who applied for the declaration of the granary as an immovable cultural monument, the construction of the granary was preserved and the granaries fell to the new owner. This is a mixed building. On the first floor, there is primarily a café with facilities and a flexible classroom. On the second floor, there is a multifunctional hall with facilities and the third floor contains space for short-term living. One of the most significant elements of the design is the extension of the baroque granary, which is located on the north side of the parcel due to the limited size of the granary plot. From the beginning of the design, the intention was to preserve the genius loci of the place and the baroque granary, so the shape of the extension exactly follows the shape of the baroque granary, a simple block with a gabled roof. Only material solutions were differentiated due to different periods of two units, namely the original granaries and extensions. The building is thus divided into two main units. Each of these units has one input. The first part of the baroque granary is more like a public part and combines several functions at once. The second part
Restoration of the baroque rectory in Sebranice
Osipova, Valentina ; Špiller, Martin (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor) ; Daněk, Lukáš (advisor)
The subject of this work is the restoration of the baroque rectory in Sebranice near Boskovice. The site is located in the center of the village and has good transport links due to the location on the main street of this village. The solved object is a two-storey building with a rectangular floor plan. The rectory building dates from the 18th century and is listed as an immovable cultural monument, which influences the methods of its restoration. The aim of the work was to prepare documentation for the building permit and part of the documentation for the construction on the basis of a previously prepared architectural study. During the renovation, the rectory was converted into a puppet museum at the request of the owners. Part of the building is dedicated to the short-term accommodation of the owners and a caretaker's apartment was also designed on the 1st floor. The arrangement of the outdoor space allows the use of the building for social purposes. In my proposal, i tried to be gentle and keep the rectory in the most authentic form. Demolition work and construction interventions were minimized. On the contrary, the original elements or their replicas were restored. An important point of the concept was to support the unique spirit of the place – genius loci. The different appearance of the south facade was enhanced by the use of a different color of plaster. This facade was not historically representative and in my design it is also part of a private space. Its different appearance helps to create two spaces with different functions - a representative public park and a private orchard.

Restoration of the monastery in Šternberk
Pruchová, Patricie ; Kocourek, Tomáš (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis was the elaboration of an architectural study and a proposal for the new use of the former Augustinian monastery in Šternberk. The former Augustinian monastery is declared a cultural monument and is located in the urban conservation area of Šternberk. The architectural study deals with the building of the monastery and modifications of the adjacent area. In the monastery building there is a spa accommodation with spa treatments, wellness, a restaurant with restaurant kitchen and a café. The wellness, restaurant and café are not only accessible to the residents but also to the public and all these functions are on the first floor. The wellness area is also on the underground floor of the monastery, where there is mainly a relaxation area with a bar and is further extended by another underground area, towards the garden of the monastery. From the underground part, access is provided to the garden, where separate outdoor sauna cells with cooling ponds are designed. Furthermore, the underground floor is used as a technical background. On the second floor there are rooms for the guests, spa treatments such as massages, beauty treatments and baths, as well as the administrative part of the hotel. On the third floor there are also rooms for guests, an examination room with facilities, exercise rooms, a ballroom, a studio, a kitchen with a day room, a virtual room and an apartment for the area manager. The design respects all the valuable elements and materials and adds a staircase in place of the original, already demolished, baroque staircase. As part of the redevelopment of the site, underground parking is proposed for residents and visitors to the restaurant, café and spa.

Restoration of the monastery in Šternberk
Sarvašová, Anna ; Kocourek, Tomáš (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis was an architectural study of the restoration proposal of the Augustinian monastery Šternberk. The building is owned by the city, whose task is to create new functions and uses for the abbey. The city did not concretize the plans for the construction of the monastery, it was more about a vision of the future and the discovery of new possibilities. Based on the analysis of the existing domain, conclusions are drawn about the use of new functions. The abbey is centrally located and is operationally and structurally connected to the Roman Catholic Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary. The monastery also has a garden, which is currently inaccessible and unused. The plan is to revitalize the garden and build an underground parking lot that will serve the monastery and the city. The garden will be open to the public and at the same time will allow access to another part of the city. Revival of the monastery and its gardens should make the location more attractive and attract people to the city. The goal of the proposal is to create a high-quality public environment in the historic core of Šternberk..
