Art of a Location

Analysis of a three projects Under-on-up in Dresden, Move house specific in New Yorku and Ball lightning project in Prague which is in progres now. They will be introdused in historical kontext and in connection with contemporary art scene. This thesis is basen on fenomenon f art interventions into authentic space. It´s focused on own projects created in 2009-2010. It´s project Under-on-up in Dresden, Move house specific project in New Yorku and Ball lightning project in Prague planned in 2012. In this thesis I am going to clarify a terms which are connected with a topic - site specific, genius loci, interaction, instalation, performance, land art, authenticity and community art. In all projects I analyse theyr concepts, development, sources of inspiration and themes. In a third planned project Ball lightning I describe single motives, connections, and experiences, which woul, in ideal result, pay good interest. I am going to compare theese projects among them according to type of intervention, using of a space, interactivity, estetical proportions and production. At the end I try to basicly evaluate this comperation and inner substance of art intervention into a specific spaces with accent on a described projects.
Potencial of Authentic Space and its Limits

In this paper I have dealt with various perspectives on the premises, authentic space, which is inspirating by own information about itself, which is bringing spirit of the place, which maybe hide some story. It is question of strong feeling, which is saying to you - have breake here and try to see something. At first I am writing this text leaning on my own experience, followed by factual information and sources that touch on or have they dealt with other artists, art groups and directions. I try to outline the options and procedures that space offers such a different way can inspire you to create images, animations, public events, performances, workshops, dance ... My goal is to offer readers a taste of this work and a hint of manifold variety of creation, which is a authentic space associated. The key issue for me is my master's project Bathrooms, whom I dealt with in cooperation with Tereza Benesova last two years of Master's studies at Damu in Prague alternately in the Czech Republic and France. Verifying the potential of space as such and researching its limits.
Site - the Presence of Personal in the Impersonal

In the last 3 years I was dealing with the question of the presence of personal in teh impersonal - as it could be read in the title of my thesis. This still what interests me the most - find a way to express our inner world in public spaces and therefore create aspecial way of theatre. In my thesis I represent the way lead me from the first meeting of alternative theatre to a real site-specific theatre performance I created with Krepsko theatre group. I believe using necligent theatre spaces of the city is a huge opportunity for contemporary alternative theatre. Getting touch with the people in a special and easy way, creating a new kind of theatre and healing the ritten part of the city, bringing new life there are also the benefits if this kind of site-specific theatre. This thesis shows one possible way.
Alternative Theater with a Preference for Visual Metaphors.

The thesis is a summary of the analysis and characterisation of alternative theater with preference of visual metaphor in the context of the diploma presentation, entitled Mandl, which premiere took place on 25 July 2010, at the Theatre Inspiration. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The first of these is divided into 15 chapters pursuing various forms of metaphorical expression in theater and art in general, in the context of the theory of scénologie and what concerns an alternative approach to creative work. The main topics of the work refers to the theoretical and practical solutions of set design author?s performances viewed from the perspective of the set designer and in the wider theatrological and artistic discourse. There is also a director's statement, because her opinions views are valuable attachment to this work. The second part includes documentation in the form of photography from the first night and the rehearsals, it includes also the proposals with the various stages of stage design. Mandl is a Czech-Polish cooperation work and from the beginning to the end as an authory productions .
Input of Interactive Projection in Contemporary Stage Design

This thesis is divided in two parts. First part presents theoretical insight to the topic of exploitation of film projection within the bounds of theatre performance. Essential events, which took a great part in development of multimedia theatre, are listed in chronological review. Contemporary productions are choosed to show the wideness of options in utilising video-technologies in today?s theatre with more space left for theatres which work with live-video. Second part of the thesis consists of reflections of my own creative works in which I used live-video as a part of set design, it is concerned about Tempest (Disk Theatre 2009/2010) and project Předkonec (Jičín 2010).
Classical Theatrical Text as a Source of Inspiration - Phenomenon Ubu

The thesis is the justification of my decision to select the theme for this work. Entry into the international situation around the project Cubus, its theoretical and practical training. Finding inspiration in a variety of interpretations and views of classical theatrical text of Alfred Jarry's Ubu Roi, and then our personal approach as the author of the theme: Ubu phenomenon. Detail in this work focuses on the justification of my working practices in the practical realization of scenography and try to clarify the source of my inspiration. Evaluate the achievements of the project and explains different approaches to the theme chosen by the individual involved. In conclusion, I write about the experience and views on the new possibilities of cooperation in a team that has brought me this work.
Site-Specific Theatre

In his master thesis David Šlajs presents the five years activity of the artistic group Depresivní děti touží po penězích (Depressed children long for money), the main part of this work documents the theatre cycle staged in the Vítkov Monument in 2006, called The Nights in the Mausoleum. The diploma thesis deals with the approach of Depresivní děti to the spaces where they stage their performances, their approach to the site-specific phenomenon and particular stenographic work of David Šlajs on particular projects. On this project above mentioned project there is demonstrated the way how the realisation team incorporates the character of the place of the Mausoleum to the dramaturgy of the cycle, the stage and visual form and way how spectators were involved actively in the performances. This thesis, describing work of existing, living artistic company, opens doors to discussion about further existence of the group and various concepts of site-specific in creative work.
Sakrality and Theatrality on the Pilgrimage and in the Funfair

The theme of diploma work specialises in forms of self-wandering pointing to theatre, interconnecting design-social-drama field of authorial creative work. The first chapter focuses on an issue of pilgrimage, wandering and folk fair, its religious and social-dramatic aspects. Wandering as an individual and collective need, sign of sacrality and teatrality. Consequently deals with self project Rimo-crossword in specific sacral landscape. Periodical group meetings fuses themselves temporary site-specific, environmental and self-pointing tendencies in the basic of deeper knowledge of landscape and its historical context. This project analyzes possibilities of the relationship: crossway-landscape-roots-earth-body-art. Describes methods of creating in landscape, measure of communication and participation in local habit activities, also beginning of the co-operation with group of poets. Second project is an authorial puppet performance Emotive Song about one Hermit, dedicated to life and work of czech artist, solitaire and wanderer Josef Váchal. It pushes ahead the complex dramaturgic and stage design treatment of the theme, also the role of directing stage designer. Finally, resume outlines views of enthroned poetics in the future continuity.
Creative Resolution of Costumes for Production with Regard to Specific Working Process in Czech - Polish Project

This work aspire to analyse creative process, which led to creation of production Landscape of Memory, Memory of Landscape. The author describes working process based on communication in team and working with links. The author aims to clear up some of links. The author aims to clear up expoitation areas of these links. The author describes plenty of functional examples of her work and wants to find out the process, how she created them. The goal of her reflection is to specify her own criteria of inventive scenographer´s work. This dissertation also speaks about attribution of stage/costume designer and ways how to fill them. The author tryes analyze scenographer´s competency and working process together to find out her own way of work. The author wants to find her own working basis 1) in advacement from theatricality to action art, 2) to eavaluate her work more proffesional in dramatic art 3) to evaluate all her art work.
Haptic and Drama- Continuous Testing

In this dissertation I analyse the motivation and concept of the haptic perception. It is divided into many aspects. I circumscribe this theme not only in connection with dramaturgy but also in social, philosophic, psychological and historical context as well as progress of this phenomenon in art. I make reference to the timeless, provocative and visionary perception of the human body and corporeality in cybernetics.
