This dissertation describes information as an economic object and focuses on information security with reference to all technical and social aspects and documents the necessity to consider both those areas simultaneously. The dissertation determines information security standards and describes some tools being used for effective data protection and information systems protection. One part of this dissertation is a model design for effective controlling of data and process protection, which can be used by bank managers on process control design especially in transaction processing area. This model is divided into several logical and consequential blocks and provides help to operating managers to design or redesign new or existing processes accordingly. Na konkrétním příkladu je znázorněna efektivnost a návratnost investice při přechodu na jinou technologii.

Computer criminality

Diploma thesis characterises the most important kinds of computer crime, economically evaluates incurred harms, presents factual examples and a prognosis of the possible way of developement of this kind of crime in the future. Thesis includes legislation regarding the computer crime and possible ways of defending against it. In the end, in the form of a questionary, the thesis monitors the knowledge of students of the Faculty of management in Jindřichův Hradec about the field of computer crime and interprets these results using graphs.

The Economy of Games and Internet

Práce se zabývá oblastmi spojenými s hrami a internetem. Popisuje jejich současný stav a možný vývoj do budoucna. Předně popisuje a hodnotí pozice testera počítačových her, profesionálních hráčů počítačových her a hráčů online her. Dále se zaměřuje na virtuální světy a detailně popisuje dva vybrané světy Second Life a EverQuest, jejich ekonomiky a vztahy s ekonomikami reálnými. Práce nastiňuje i možná bezpečností rizika virtuálních světů. V neposlední řadě se práce zabývá ekonomikou internetu. Tudíž doménami, webhostingem a tvorbou www. Na závěr uvádí možnosti získat různé věci či služby zdarma.
